Admittedly, when I read the books about 5 years ago, I didn't love The Score. Honestly, don't even remember why.

BUT

The episode 6 got me soooo hooked on Dean and Allie. Chemistry is just incredible. Truly didn't anticipate it, but loved how they translated the story on screen and really hope they won't mess it up in the future seasons, cause the book is like 50% covered in the season one and after the screenwriters will have to come up with something.

Frankly as much as I dont care that zutara isnt canon (bryke would've fucked it over sideways anyway) I simply cannot with the fact that their friendship and parallelism is constantly ignored, and maliciously so, because if I wrote a girl/boy friendship as good as theirs you would never hear the end of it from me. It would not matter if the fandom was shipping them or not, in fact I'd shove it down their throats that they are FRIENDS and not anything else. I cant believe they dont brag on that one and keep it going because it is (was) goated

Okay, honest opinion, I was really surprised when I saw that some people were all up and arms about Samira's my-eggs-are-dying line. Maybe it's me misinterpreting the scene, and I have some kind of internalised misogyny, but I kinda felt very seen?

The girl with a plan who's putting off a relationships, family and basically life itself until after she's done with her education and stable in her career, is sometimes afraid that she missed her chance because there's no guarantee that she'll find that in the future. Classic story where I come from. It's me, it's my friend and like five more girls I know.

Also, sometimes, eggs very well can be just a dramatic phrase to describe how dire her situation is in her mind. It's a very popular phrase actually.

Conchita lost her family money and started a business. Jinny went through hell and came out alive. Lizzy is trying to find her own agenda and make her own choice. Mabel came out and mended thing with her mum. Honoria is going to France and being brave. I can see some sparkle of feminism there.

But Nan? She is just inconsistent and writing is off.
