good morning everyone it's time to be tortured to insanity and then of course tortured for being insane
this probably happened on their second day there or something
all powerscaling is dumb as everyone knows the strongest character in fiction is mr rogers in a bloodstained sweater as per the prophecy of 2006
happy to report that my love for Hot Priests with Kind Eyes and An Affinity for Boxing™️ is timeless
(suddenly appears semi-transparently in your room) they lied, you don't have to debate every single point to be a good person, you can just block people, it's okay (fading away again) i think that cup on your desk has stuff growing in it
so you’re telling me one of the characters in wake up dead man is a formerly beloved author who, after the culmination of his wildly popular fiction series, has been radicalized online by right-wing conspiracy theorists, has abandoned his successful writing career in favor of spending all of his time on social media (and what little writing he does put out on his substack is praised only by his staunchest supporters), and is SO convinced that everyone’s out to get him that he’s dug a literal moat around his (distinctly castle-shaped) house?
lol. lmao, even.
i know we all love that post about “world famous detective” not being a real type of celebrity but lets be real if benoit blanc was real and sluttily fagging it up everywhere constantly in the news n making fools out of the cops n shit we’d all eat that up crazy style. it’d be like the chocolate guy but for exposing rich people for being assholes
We all thought that French guy in a hat at the Louvre was a real detective for like 5 seconds and then it turned out he was just a teenager who liked fashion. So I think a famous detective is theoretically possible in this day and age.
PSA: if you're watching the new Knives Out mystery (Wake Up Dead Man), please be aware that around 1 hr 34 minutes in, there's a series of flashing/strobing lights. the sequence lasts about a minute.
Just saw the new Beniot Blanc movie, I love that this established that Blanc's crime solving M.O. is to team up with whatever suspect has the kindest heart and commit minor acts of obstruction of justice to keep them from getting arrested until he can crack the case.
I hope that southern fried fancy boy never stops adopting good people at grisly murder scenes.
you can tell jud is a catholic because he keeps feeling guilty and confessing to stuff he's not responsible for

insane parallels between vera and grace. while grace was a rebel, vera obeyed what her father told her for YEARS because she knew the story of the "harlot whore" and her shame and the disdain the church had for her. but after vera learns of the monsignor's aop, she's the first one to extend any sort of sympathy to grace, being the first one truly recognize "that poor girl" (which father jud later echoes in remembrance after the reveal) because vera realizes she's been trapped between her dead father and her "son" just like grace...incredible. and when the monsignor calls vera "her father's worst nightmare," it hits doubly hard bc that's exactly what the church viewed grace as. oh rian johnson the writer you are...
