Have I ever mentioned how much I love, Love, LOVE Daja’s pov in Pierce’s Emelan series? I am a jeweler, and did a ton of metalsmithing in undergrad, so I fangirled during her pov’s because Pierce actually does her homework on the craft.

I LOVE Tamora! She was one of my first literary loves as a kid :) I learned to spin thread cause of Sandry lol.

Tamora Pierce was one of my favorite writers growing up, and still is. I still buy her books as a grown-ass lady because I fucking love them. When I’m sick and need a comfort read you can bet I’m going to grab something by either Pierce, or Robin McKinley. Daja is amazing here.

I lost some of her books when I moved continents and one of the first things I did was amble over to the bookstore and try to replace them (with frustratingly little result, but I’ve managed it over the years by haunting the used book stores). Authors like @tamorapierce stay with you forever, even if I can never seem to find her in a Barnes and Noble, or a Waterstones when I’m back home.

Robin McKinley is also one of my comfort reads, Sunshine in particular is something I will read when I’m having a bad health day.

When I got a kindle the first thing I did was buy and download all the official Tamora Pierce books I could find, starting with the Circle and then Circle Opens series.

After that it was Alanna, then Kel, then anyone else I hadn't read about yet.

She is easily one of my favourite authors, alongside Terry Pratchett and Isobelle Carmody.
