I know it’s quite late to be bringing up this year’s Secret Santa--after all, there’s only two weeks until Christmas--but I’d like to get a sense of how many people would still be interested in a sort of post-holiday holiday gift exchange. Think of it as extending the season of giving... Arthur would be all over multiple Christmases.

I’ve received my Cabin Pressure Secret Santa present today and oh my god I was so chuffed

I had arrived two days before, but I had classes during the open hours of my acommodation’s office, so I could only pick it up today. So I did, and then controlled myself not to open the package all the way to my bedroom - delayed gratification and all. And then I sat on the bed and was almost ripping the cutest snowman wrapping paper ever when I remember to take photographs. After that I just couldn’t control myself and ripped the whole thing apart. Sorry, cute snowman.

But yeah, the present: Fire Bringer, by David Clement-Davies. My secret santa - the amazing Theta from Texas aka thelostbecket.tumblr.com - gave me a copy of one of her favourite books and omg those are my favourite types of gifts. Theta, you’ve had an amazing time reading this story, and without you, I would probably never get to know it. So thank you for sharing the amazingness of it with me. I’m sure I’ll have the greatest time reading Fire Bringer. Again, thank you thank you thank you so much!

OH GOD GUESS WHAT JUST ARRIVED IN THE MAIL!

I can’t really put into words how happy I am to finally get these lovely gifts. It’s just… Ah! Everything’s perfect! There’s a really cute bag and a really cute pin to put on the bag and like a bazzilion Parisian postcards (when I wrote “foreign postcards” I was hoping for maybe one or two at most) and some tea. I’m drinking the Christmas tea right now and it’s wonderful. I think I’ll have the chocolate one for my birthday tomorrow.

*gasp* TISSUE! Just what I always wanted! (sorry, we always make this joke at my house) ;p

After about 5 layers of tissue I find the most adorable tin.

I didn’t get a photo of the inside without the tissue because I got WAY TO EXCITED! I saw these like a week ago on tumblr and was like “Ooooh, I really want one!”. haha I lovelovelove it! It’s going on my new bag. :3 Btw, you can purchase one here.

Next was the most beautiful Union Jack scarf! It’s one of those tube scarfs that can be worn a bunch of different ways. It’s slightly sheer and really soft.

If your secret santa gift hasn't arrived yet...

First of all, I understand that it's saddening if you haven't received a gift or a message that one will be late, and I hate to see it happen.

However, as I've said before, it's still within the time frame for gifts sent after Christmas to arrive. Remember that many participants were traveling for the holidays, and couldn't send anything until they arrived back home. Bad weather, shipping delays, international postage... there are lots of reasons why you haven't received a gift yet.

If you are a Santa who hasn't sent out your gift yet, or did so within the past 3 days, and hasn't notified your recipient that your gift will be a bit late or is on its way, please do so via anon ask to your recipient!! If you need to send a message but they don't allow anonymous/don't have an askbox, please send me an email with your tumblr username, your recipient's username, and your country of origin (so I can find your assignment quicker), and the message you wish to pass along.

If you have not received your gift yet, please wait until January 10 to notify me, preferably via email. Please be aware that there's little I can do beyond messaging your Santa to ask if they intend to send a gift. There will always be a few people who don't participate as they were required, which sucks, but I can only do my best to encourage them to not be a scrooge.

My present from my SUPER cute Cabin Pressure Secret Santa Gerti arrived today  ( ´ ▽ ` )ﾉ AND OH GOSH I LOVE IT!! The pencil case made me snort and I squeaked when I opened the pencils (I’VE BEEN MEANING TO BUY SOME FOR SO LONGEST TIME, THANK YOU FOR THOSE!!) But most of all I LOVE the moleskin, I wanted one of those for almost a year, but Moleskins are so expensive?! It’s all perfect and your message in the book was lovely, looky at how cute the drawing she did for me is!!!
