i have so many questions about ramcoa and oea but i dare not ask them because no offense but the tumblr community around it can be so,,, weird. about that.

like to me, i wanna know the psychological reason why a preexisting system could not be abused into being programmed later on. to me, if it's system+whats essentially conditioning via abuse, why does it need to be childhood? why does it need to be when the system first starts? ykwim?

also not a question but i hate how people confuse oea and "programmed system" because those two truly are Different Things. hell, some oea systems arent programmed! ykwim? idk

Exomemories are so crazy like fym the only way childhood "us" (one of us at least) could conceptualize the abuse we were facing was by imagining us in a constant war and now a lot of us have war exomemories and are war vets in some way because we all descended from splits from that initial alter who became obsessed with war as a way to understand our pain

like does anyone else have this? like lineages of X alter had X memories and beliefs now alters that split off from them or beyond will remember that in some way and be vaguely influenced by it. Like a game of telephone.

Whereas like, other alters lived entirely in blissful ignorance as a kid and those who descend from THEM will not be able to remember jack we went through. Just a normal, mainly erased childhood of a niave and dumb kid.

Idk. It'd just interesting - and of course the lineages aren't like 1:1 - memories mix , people merge, people can be entirely different than who they split from and have entirely different memories ... it just really depends

Part of this is why we hang on to like, the DSMP even though we aren't really a DSMP kid or bucky and steve or something.

media with war and strife in some way like that are more likely to resonate with us. it also takes a big part of our MD, those of us who need the fictional war to cope with reality or the past at least.
