into the woods
jiwon has never lost anything, let alone a child. and in broad daylight at that. so to say that she's about to lose her mind is an understatement. just how exactly does one even lose a child? and at their neighborhood at that? she would not have turned her home and her tool shed upside down if the kid was not last seen at her front yard, jumping up and down to grab an apple from her child-favorite tree.
when everyone has looked at every possible place they could, they decided to call the authorities. and as difficult as it was for jiwon, she had to call them to report the incident. it was going to be dark soon, and she can't imagine a child being out there all alone. it wasn't that she was afraid of the police, she just really didn't want to see that officer. but maybe she had a bit of luck left and they'd send someone else... or maybe not. everyone was relieved to see him ( @cr-grey), but jiwon is still on the fence about it.
she supposed when it's your residence in question, she'd have to accompany and guide the police officer around her house to check again if the kid was just stuck behind her coats or curtains somewhere. he didn't do anything wrong really, it's her dreams that making things more difficult than they should be. she walks down the garden stairs, looking back at him before she speaks for the first time, "the kids here really like that tree... and they hand around a lot, but no one's ever gotten... lost."
