*Sees Cleeves* "Is that his Dad's gay lover?" Me: "It's not out of the realm of possibility?"
"Somehow, everything I'm learning about Tary just makes more sense."
"How do these people know Percy's full government name?"
"What's the British Museum doing here?"
"Grog is still my favorite."
"THAT'S THE BEST KEYLETH COULD COME UP WITH??"
"How does Percy keep ending up in situations where he could potentially damn his soul?"
"Grog, the icon that you are."
"So is he really this stupid, or is it just the parental trauma?"
"A unicorn. Not a friend."
"Someone needs to free Percy. He's already been to hell multiple times; he doesn't need this."

"Whoa, what the fuck happened here?" Percy: It was...the perfect heist! "Oh, that's what happened."
"They can't get a cobalt soul library card? Don't they have connections as heroes of the realm?"
"There's no possible way this could go wrong."
"Free Pike from the crate 2026."
"I feel like this monk is gonna beat Tary's ass."
*Percy produces mouse Keyleth from his coat* "Aw! What's the mouse's name!! He's so cute! I'm going to call him squeakers!!!" Me: "...you mean Keyleth?" Him: "...oh." Me: "Did you think Percy just kept a random trained mouse in his coat specifically for this reason?" Him: "Well...maybe Percy likes to plan ahead?"
"What the fuck did Grog just drink?"
"Is that Scanlan singing?"
Vex: Because I'm married. "And everyone was completely shocked."
"NOW IS NOT THE TIME FOR CONFESSIONS."
*Yudala Fon does anything* "DAMN!!"
"I'm just gonna start saying 'Tary' over and over again when I'm stressed."
"Someone gave Grog an adderall and the world couldn't handle it."
In your modern VM AU, who is each character's emergency contact?
THIS IS SUCH A GREAT QUESTION!!
Initially, while they're all trying to find their footing in the city, Pike was pretty much all of their emergency contacts because she's the best at responding to emergencies, tbh, and they had no clue what to do (she's honestly everyone's first call if they think they need to go to the ER, anyway).
Pike: Grog is her primary emergency contact, but Vex is a close second because she picks up her phone more often than Grog and Scanlan combined.
Scanlan: Pike. No questions asked. Vex is a close second, but more often than not, he calls Pike first if he even thinks he's sick or hurt. He even called Pike at any time he worried that something was wrong with Kaylie as a baby.
Grog: Pike is his primary contact. He doesn't know he can add more, but in his mind, Pike is the best option, and there's no need to change it.
Percy: In the beginning, he didn't have an emergency contact until Vex dragged his ass to the ER for a burn he got when he was messing around with a side project. From there, she and Keyleth were both his emergency contacts. Once they re-established contact, Cassandra and Yennen have also been on the list at some point, but he doesn't want her to be under pressure in the event he has to go to the ER (which is often for a variety of reasons).
Keyleth: Pike initially was her emergency contact, but once she and Vax got together, Vax was her primary. Percy is also on the list, but most often she finds herself in the ER for him rather than herself.
Vax: Vex and Pike were his emergency contacts initially, but then Keyleth became the primary when they got together with Vex as the secondary. He needed to use both of them a lot after he got his diagnosis.
Vex: Vax and Pike were her primary emergency contacts for a very long time. This changed once she and Percy got together, with him being her primary and Vax being her secondary.
Idk why, but I'm imagining Vax and Percy at the end of 4x6 sitting on the front stoop of Castle Whitestone just silently supporting one another in the wake of all the emotional reveals, and Trinket just comes lumbering up with Vex and Keyleth, passed out and drunk off their asses on his back, and they're both like..."What?"
