am I taking this too seriously???

I had to tell off some loser in my Japanese class because he decided to bring a live hamster to a loud fast moving environment and let it roam around in a hamster ball, no one else said anything about it, because they care more about their social status than anything else, but I honestly couldn’t care less. I’m not gonna sit and watch some asshole abuse an animal with a naturally short lifespan and willingly do things that make it shorter. The hamster was pacing and obviously moving towards darker spaces to hide, but people were passing it around like a toy. The kid didn’t even know hamsters were rodents, he does not care about that thing as much as he should.

I tried telling him how inherently abusive this was but obviously a 15 year old Highschool boy isn’t going to listen to a woman trying to inform him of something unless he finds her attractive. (He was definitely getting embarrassed though, probably because I kept yapping about it and made him look at me while I yelled at him.)

No matter what anyone thinks, every domesticated animal needs large places to roam and it’s your responsibility to educated yourself on its needs considering the fact that it’s reliant on you the second it becomes yours.

my telling is definitely biased in some aspects, but I’m angry guys. I reported it to the office and the hamster was taken from him for the day. ok thanks for coming to my ted talk
