Christmas present for my friend. She delivers mail and asked for some fingerless mitts so she can be warm and still use her fingers.
The chart is from the pattern Mister Invested by Meaghan Schmaltz and the yarn is Vanna’s glamour in platinum (it’s sparkly!)
Pushing Daisies inspired honeycomb mittens for my sister (which she will probably not appreciate but whatever)
FO Friday! (I’m a couple hours early for my time zone but I don’t care.) Finished the boat nosed toe on my mom’s stocking. Snowflakes are done and I’m happy.
My FOs this week are:
LEFT: Although I am showing only one handwarmer, I actually made a full pair of Coler Mitts (obviously, you’ve guessed by now that it’s one of my favorite gift patterns) in Malabrigo Rios (”Vaa” colorway) for a co-worker; and
RIGHT: For another co-worker, I made the Fisherman’s Watchcap using one skein of Malabrigo Mecha (”Chuy” colorway).
Our office adopted a family for Christmas and one of the suggestions under the baby was blankets. 😊 I couldn’t turn that down. I love how the color block style turned out. Also: this was my first ever knit blanket! Normally I crochet.
WIP Wednesday!!! I am so close to being done with my mom’s Christmas stocking. All the snowflakes are done and about 30 rows of toe are left.
This has been crazy and I have already altered the snowflake portion of the pattern to be a cowl because this is so warm, and thick, no reasonable person would knit a sock from my pattern.

This is a hat for my brother, inspired by the one he’s been wearing for many years made by my great grandma, who died recently. He wears it every day and it’s looking a little the worse for wear, so hopefully this hat will be a suitable replacement!

Operation Christmas presents: finished object 3
The hooded scarf for my brother’s girlfriend is finally blocked and finished. I’ve learnt so many new techniques while knitting this, and it’s taken forever!
WIP Snowflake stocking is half done. Two snowflakes down and two smaller ones to go. Mom is going to be so excited to see this.

My friend asked if I could make her nieces some toys for Christmas. The eldest is obsessed with Frozen.

Operation Christmas presents: finished object number 2!
This scarf is for my middle brother, whose favourite colour is multicolour! It’s about as long as I am tall and it’s super squidgy and warm. If he doesn’t love it I might just have to keep it for myself!
4th of 5 Christmas stockings. The color is off in the picture. It’s actually a pretty forest green and white. Pattern is a spin off of a free one on the Red Heart website.
