Adventures In Amigurumi - Doll Pattern Rewritting
Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK - Champagne (598) - 100g 2.50mm Pony crochet hook Recycled polyfill
Chibi Doll - The Loft Loop
I tried this pattern as it was chibi based which is a style I quite like however in the end I really didn't enjoy this pattern.
Whereas the other patterns started at the head and worked down this started at the limbs and worked up. I found that making the limbs separately then building the body just allowed too many opportunities for mistakes. For example one of the legs is shorter than the other which i didn't notice until I was part way through the torso. The shaping of the hips seemed unnecessary as stuffing really hid it, but the proportion of head to body I liked.
Likes Head proportions Body shape
Dislikes Construction Legs are a tad short Easy to make mistakes Very time consuming

One piece crochet doll - Supergurumi
This is one of the first patterned I used when I learnt to crochet and what I had been using as a base for previous dolls I'd made
It's a nice pattern, written well (think its acutually been updated since I last used it) and I like it being all in one, however the feet seem very nubby and the arms slightly out of proportion
Likes Better shape Better neck / shoulders
Dislikes Legs seem too short Feet seem very small

Mini noso - Supergurmi
I didn't do this pattern when it first came out as previously I've just used different yarn to change the size of my dolls, but as I was remaking my doll pattern I thought I'd give it a try.
Honestly wasn't a fan, it's very quick to make but the body seems so flat compared to the head and I find it rather stumpy
Likes Quick to make Great size for keychains
Dislikes Very flat Limbs end strangely Doubt it'd scale up well
Adventures in Amugurmi - Doll Patterns
Materials: Sirdar Hayfield Bonus Super Chunky - Light Natural (936) - 100g 5mm Pony Crochet Hook
Having been making dolls for a while with a pattern adjusted from supergurumi I thought it's about time I look at doll patterns again. When I first made my pattern I'd only been crocheting a month and it was the start of the pandemic. I now crochet a lot more and have a much better understanding of construction and what I like and dislike. So with that in mind I've found some various doll patterns that match what i like and i'm going to make them all with the same yarn and hook and compare them and see if any of them are better than what I'm currently using of if maybe I should make a new pattern entirely
This is a doll I made based on my empire larp character with my current pattern

I...tried to make a meme and got carried away and made A Thing that is like partially unfinished because i spent like 3 hours on it and then got tired.
I think this is mostly scientifically accurate but truth be told, there seems to be relatively little research on succession in regards to lawns specifically (as opposed to like, pastures). I am not exaggerating how bad they are for biodiversity though—recent research has referred to them as "ecological deserts."
