do you still have an active discord? and will you be updating any time soon?
Its not as active is it used to be but i will respond if there are any questions or comments. Also today is my Birthday! I was hoping to actually publish a chapter today, the oni pt. 2 for the Devil May Lick Me Series but work told me I could no longer be on my laptop anymore, even if it was for school since i go to college full. I work full time and have school full time so the only way I've been writing was the small free time i had when things weren't busy.
So unfortunately you're all just going to have to wait a little bit. I will definitely try to get it out before the end of the year.
I dont ask or force anyone to buy me a kofi. I never lock any full completed stories behind a pay wall. Yeah i take forver to update n publish but some of us have to work real jobs to survive.
This girl payed me a kofi and then after 7 days, which is long enough to read all the content on Kofi, she files a claim saying this was a transaction she never payed for. And paypall is letting her get away away with it.
Its the disrespect towards me and my work that irritated me more than anything. If u didnt wanna spend the money then don't, i will never force u. But don't be tryna scam and get free content by filing claim after u already read everything.
I've been really interested in Kuroko x Reader lately, and I happened to find a post :GoM x F!Reader (What would be their reaction when they heard you were pregnant) and it really touched my heart, I felt a really painful warmth when Kuroko gently placed his hand on Reader's belly I had butterflies in my stomach and I couldn't resist!! So I made a quick sketch of my KNB ship OCXCANON (Kuroko X OC, Magica) and they are married in this sketch but my art style is a bit soft so I can't draw hot guys :›
.
Idea of the Kuroko X F! Reader by : @creampie-capital <3
This is the first time someone has ever made artwork for my writing! Oh my goodness, I am so happy and proud! Definitely pushing me to get back into writing and move on to the next part of the scenarios. With lots of love.
Hey ? Are you still writing? If so, do you still write knb ? And if so, do you take the requests? I just took over the series and I need to murasakibara 🤤🤤
I do. It depends on what type of oneshot. You also has to be clear on what plot u want or what theme u want.
Baby day masterlist, is for either a) how u became a parent, i.e pure soft core smut b) revealing ur pregnancy to the character u want.
A regular oneshot would be published to the anime f*cking lemons master list.
If u want the parenthood scenarios masterlist, then it's written about all characters too.

What kind of man would steal your heart?
Would he be a charmer? A man who knew just what to say? A flatterer that would make sure you felt like the most gorgeous person in the world?
Or maybe he'd be a little shy, a sweet man who'd blush at accidentally holding hands. Would he get flustered when you stared at him a little too long? Perhaps he'd even feel like he were on cloud nine if you graced him with a kiss.
He should be sweet and savory, a fine dining meal that you could just eat up.
It was fun to imagine and entertaining to dream of it. You couldn't help it that you were a hopeless romantic, in love with the idea of love, consumed by the thought of being with your other half.
What would it feel like to find the one that makes the whole world revolve around them? You've thought about it many times, wouldn't it be wonderful? Wouldn't it be the most earth-shattering moment that made your entire world start to revolve around them?
How nice, how fun it was to think that.
All of that imagining and fantasizing turned out to be a crude joke when you've come to the realization that the man who doesn't want you is, in fact, the one you can't let go.
The man stuck in your thoughts, unable to just go away...is the same man who barely even holds a conversation with you when the sun is up.
It feels sickening, nearly rancid on your tongue, like he's a dirty secret when he only comes over in the dark. Filthy, you feel filthy when you let go of all your dignity and give in to him without any hesitation.
Letting go of your pride and disregarding your dignity, you take the scraps he gives you with love-struck appreciation.
You take it so willingly, accepting the bare minimum because you're just so grateful for what little he throws your way.
This isn't it; this isn't what you spent all that time envisioning what your dream man would be like. He'd love you! He'd sacrifice everything for you! He'd show you off because he's just so proud that you're his.
Yet you're played with by falling in love with a man who is entirely opposite to what you've dreamed.
And he just has to be the father of your baby.
Unable to hold up your weight, you collapsed to your knees in the bathroom. It's so hot; you're sweating, and your skin is so sizzling, that you feel like tearing it off and emerging as just bones.
Oh, god(s)! This is a cruel joke! This is some f*cking divine intervention for playing with fire. They just had to throw something at you as punishment for playing with a man who didn't want you.
"(Y/n)! You've been in there since, like, forever!" Ceinwen, one of your roommates, bellows from outside as she pounds on the bathroom door. "The Delta sorority is having a party, and it's open to everyone on campus! I can't miss this!"
Oh yeah, what simple things to be worried about. It would be nice to stress about what pink bra to wear and not how you're going to provide for a whole nother human being.
"Give me..." You're struck with a wave of nausea, feeling your entire stomach stir and your esophagus tense. Hunching over the toilet, you audible breathe in and out as saliva pools in your mouth. "...Give me a second."
Another bang that spurs your head to throb physically. "Eww! You better not be sick! That's so gross." Meara, another roommate, bellows, and you can practically see her scrunched face in disgust.
Ugh, they can be so irritating sometimes! Somehow, you were able to force yourself to your feet and yank the door open. The woman dressed as how happy little sl*t's should be during their college days, stares back at you curiously. "Unless you two get pregnant, you can't get this sickness!"
They gasp audibly, their entire bodies leaning back from the shock as they stare wide-eyed. "Oh, my god." Ceinwen, the short brunette, muttered under her breath. "That's a real bummer, but we need the bathroom."
You almost laugh, almost, yet the situation is already starting to weigh heavy on you. "Knock yourselves out." Replying, you step back to grab your phone and the pregnancy tests before brushing past them to the stairs.
The two girls' bedrooms were on the second floor, and yours was on the third. You had that all to yourself, which was nice, but now you don't know if you'll be able to stay here much longer.
You just can't. This place isn't somewhere to raise a kid; parties are just downstairs every other day. You have roommates who bring home strangers nearly every night.
Filling your mouth with air and blowing it out with a sigh, you try to collect your thoughts. Oh god(s), this is really happening. You took several tests from different brands, and all stare you right back in the face with a bright 'positive!'.
But why do you have to suffer!? Why is it your fault that you have horrible reactions to birth control and have to stay reliant either on condoms or Plan B!?
Another sigh.
You thought you were so careful. Weren't you so adamant about him wrapping it up?
When was it?
Why are you even trying to figure it out? What's done is done; your body is no longer just yours anymore; you house a growing fetus.
And it's his baby of all people, Kei Tsukishima's.
Falling back on your bed, you hold closed fist against your eyes as you feel them swell with tears. You hate yourself for being scared to tell him if that means he's going to disappear from your life. That shouldn't be your fear; you have to care for his baby, and you have to put them above a man.
But you cannot help but mourn the delusions of finding the love of your life. The responsibility of caring for another will be the dominant obligation. Your own dreams and goals will have to be put on the back burner just so you can care and provide a healthy childhood for your child.
Pregnancy is such a tremendous responsibility, a burden even. And although you've taken the possibility of pregnancy seriously, you've still skirted on that fine line. You f*cked around and are now finding out.
With another sigh and a sniffle, you manage to sit up again and grab your phone to see your notifications. A few emails from your classes, some IG messages from your friends, and a single text from the man himself.

Bane of My Existence
I'm gonna come over after drinks with the team.
◢
"Oh, yeah?" You whisper to yourself with a sneer. Every time he comes over after drinking with the team, he's not pissed drunk, but he is tipsy, which meant he was more adamant about sleeping together.
Why was it that whenever he came to you inebriated by alcohol, did you see the glimmer of he could be? It's like his defensive walls were down, and he allowed himself to be slightly vulnerable.
You hated it just as much as you loved it.
For that night, you could experience what it would feel like to be something other than a warm body. His touches were tender, his kisses so intimate. He said that made your face burn and made you feel like the only woman in the world.
And then, after everything was said and done, he'd clean you all up and lay right back by your side. Sometimes, he was silent, just listening to you. Others, he would talk to you about literally anything.
Maybe he'd talk about his day, ranting about his courses or the astronomical amount of assignments he had. He might speak about his team or volleyball, recanting his days when he brought his high school team to nationals.
Sometimes, he'd play a song and ask your opinion on it. Those were the moments where you made notes, sneaking reminders to check up on that artist just to have something to talk about with him.
When he had his way with you, it's like the two of you were more than...whatever the two of you were. I mean, it had to mean more when he'd lay there, a hand on your hip as he held your gaze until you fell asleep.
You loved it, you loved feeling...loved. But that's why you hated it just as much: because the man he is during the night is not the same as the man you meet when the sun is up.
That man is callous, snarky, even dry in his responses. He finds no importance in talking to you; he replies barely, probably just enough to keep you on the line. Communicating with that man feels as if you're grasping at strings, attempting everything and anything just to get him to look your way.
Yet your relationship with each other is weird because not every time he comes over at night does he want to have s*x. Sometimes, he just sits at your desk and works on his classwork. He doesn't even talk to you, keeping his SOMY headphones on as he focuses on his laptop.
He could do that anywhere, yet he invades your space while not even paying attention to you. And every time he does that, you just let him be and refrain from bothering him because you don't want him to feel disturbed.
It's pathetic and embarrassing, and you know it, yet you still can't let him go. You're putting in all the work, taking the time to learn about his interests, and trying to make some form of relationship happen.
And that gets tiring...and that gets draining...yet you can't let this man go. How can you love him so much? How can you put up with all this stress when the easiest solution would be to move on? How are you tolerating this fwb relationship when you want a boyfriend, a lover, something serious... official.
Guess your title has changed from 'the person I occasionally sleep with' now to just 'baby Mama.' It feels...derogatory. You mean more than that; you're worth more than that. Being pregnant wasn't something you planned at all until the future when you'd already be married to the love of your life.
You'd already be living with the man you'd spend the rest of your life with when you've attained your degrees and have a steady career. Everything's a f*cking mess, and nothing is like you've dreamed of.
Nothing you can do will change the fact you're pregnant, and the father isn't even someone that you think you can depend on. Well...maybe you're thinking too low of him. After everything he's done to you, the way he's treated you, the way he never wanted to go past the sleeping together, it was evident that you just weren't the one.
Yet he feels just right to you.
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
You spent the next few hours cleaning before showering and changing into a fresh set of loungewear. Because you were still nauseous and felt sickly, a trash bin was kept by your bed, just in case.
During the rest of your free time, you tried to edit your schedule and figure out everything you would have to do to care for this child. You'd need to work more and save up for the money pit children tend to be. Emailing the museum where you worked, you explained the situation and how you needed more hours.
There might not be much that they could do, so you'll probably have to get a second job, too. The courses you took in person will have to change to online, making the whole point of physically attending college useless.
It could either be a fricken nightmare or tolerable considering it was your last year before graduating, and that all just depends on if you can handle...everything that's changing.
Your phone lit up, the screen presenting your notification and Tsukishima's message.

What would it feel like to proudly welcome home your partner? Would it be comforting? Gratifying? Soothing? You wonder what it would feel like not to be just some dirty little secret.
You can hear the front door squeak open before it's slammed shut. Your heart skips a beat, your fingers twitch, and you find it difficult to sit comfortably in your own bed.
His steps approach up the stairs, slow and languid, with no urgency at all. He has no idea about the bomb that's about to be dropped on him.
The handle jiggles to your bedroom door as it's opened, and the man himself steps through. His golden brown eyes find yours almost immediately, and the amount of dread that fills your stomach is enough to drown you right there.
"It's hot in here." He murmurs in an almost monotonous tone as he pulls the black sweater off his torso to leave him in a large white shirt and thrust it on your desk chair.
"It's actually rather cold." You mumble, leaning back against your headrest while crossing your arms underneath your chest.
Tsukishima blows air out of his nose like some condescending laugh as if he thought a joke to himself that he didn't want to share. "I can already sense your attitude." His words have a slight mocking tone as he tilts his head away.
Oh, he has no idea what's coming his way.
Emptying his things on your desk, he unbuckled his belt to step out of his pants and thrust it haphazardly on your chair. "What a long f*cking day." He groans as he strides closer to collapse on your bed.
With his abnormally long limbs, he looks almost comically on your bed. His head is by your hip, his arms splayed out, and his legs hanging loosely off the ends. Now, with him being much closer, you can smell the bitter alcohol wafting off his breath and cigarette smoke, too.
"How much did you drink?" You question while fiddling with your fingers in your lap atop the comforter.
"Enough." He mutters and holds down a burp as he reaches up to remove his glasses and rub at his eyes. "It's too bright in here."
It seems that tonight, he had drank just a little more than usual. What a coincidence. Leaning over, you shut off the lamp on the nightstand, which yielded a light sigh from the blond. For a moment, you think to yourself that maybe right now isn't the best time.
But you know he needs to know because tonight, a decision must be made about what the two of you will do.
Tsukishima rolls over onto his stomach as he rests one arm on your lap, his head facing away from you. "Dumb*ss can't even hit the ball." His utterance is slightly mumbled, and you know he was complaining about someone from his volleyball team.
You're trying to work up the nerve with your throat dry and tight. The words are right there on your tongue, yet you feel as if they're stuck to your teeth with glue.
The news you need to tell him will change everything.
"You're quiet," Tsukishima mumbled as the hand on your lap moved to poke at your hip. "What I do now?"
That almost brings out a laugh as you raise your knees to your chest and rub a hand over your temples. Now that you are aware of your pregnancy, your belly is a little bigger and plumper, which takes up more space.
It really isn't something that you can just forget for a little bit and worry about later.
"I...I need to talk to you about something." You don't even know how you managed to get the words out, but there really is no turning back.
The blond sighs with an aggravated respire of breath. "Is it serious?" He grumbled, and you can see the vexation lacing his tone. He probably thinks you're going to ask that silly question of 'What are we?' or 'Can we be official.'
He always avoids it, skirting around the topic or finding some way to distract you.
"Yes."
He shifts his head to face your direction and sighs once again. "What is it now?" His angled eyes gleam from his lens, and his sweet lips are pursed together.
"I'm-" You feel nauseous, nearly about the retch, though you manage to swallow it down with a shaky breath. "Oh f*ck. I'm pregnant...I'm pregnant, Kei."
His expression remains impassive, not a note or tick or any micro-expressions. However, you feel that he has stopped breathing from how the bed is no longer heaving with his breaths. Blood is rushing in your ears from how quiet your bedroom has become.
The abrupt movement of him sitting up had you jump in your spot and squeeze your hands on your biceps.
"Are you f*cking with me? This isn't some joke-"
You interject his words by kicking your feet under your blanket. "You think I would joke about this!? This is gonna change my life forever!" It wasn't your intention to yell; you're just so overwhelmed by this whole ordeal.
Reaching over to your nightstand, you remove the multiple pregnancy tests and thrust them on your bed. His eyes are staring at them as if dazed, with his pupils dilating.
Suddenly, Tsukishima twists his body so he holds up his weight with his elbows on his knees and stares at the ground. One of his hands obscures his mouth, and no sound comes from him.
Is your heart even beating? You're scared, you're terrified, you're dreading what he's going to do. And what does it say about you when there is a small part of you hoping that he wants to try and be something more?
You'll be connected to each other forever in a way that you can't just leave.
"Is it mine?" He finally speaks after what felt like hours of silence.
What a dumb question; you have to scoff audibly at it. "Of course. You're the only man." Your head turned with your lips puckering. "You won't be with me, but you throw a whole fit if another man shows me interest." Now wasn't the time to be bitter or petty, yet you couldn't help but mumble those words.
His response isn't immediate; he is just sitting there, solid like a statue. What is he thinking? What's going on in his mind?
You would give anything to know.
"Please talk to me. I can't figure you out." Your voice fails you; it's jittery and slightly squeaky at the end, and you feel a sob rising in your throat.
Tsukishima swears under his breath before standing up and stalking towards your chair. His hands are shaky but swift as he grabs his pants and rushes to put them back on.
It felt like your world had come crashing down. All the hope you had, the possibility that it might go the other way, was quite literally hitting you like a ton of bricks.
"W-wait, where are you going!?" Your own voice sounds like a shrill cry in your head.
He's shoving his wallet and keys back in his pockets as he responds. "I need, f*ck. I need time to think."
"You can't-" All air is robbed from your lungs. "It's not fair that you can just leave! What about me!? My entire life is going to change, and I can't just walk away from this-"
"What do you want from me, then?" His shouting voice shocked both of you, and your bodies recoiled backward. His golden brown eyes widened. The man's head dipped down, and he chewed on his bottom lip, his right hand still shaking by his side.
"Just..." You slowly get up from your sitting position and make your way over wearily. "Just talk to me. Just tell me how you're feeling. Is there anything? Are you scared? Are you worried? Do you hate me? I need to know."
Shaking his head, he turns away from you to grab his sweater and throw it over his shirt. "It doesn't matter. What's done is done already." Those words were just enough to crack open your heart.
It feels torn, and you feel dejected. "Why am I not worth enough for you to just talk to me?" Your vision wavers, and tears well up in your eyes, muting your sight.
His head whips your way with his lips parted. Whatever it is he wanted to say is silence as he meets your gaze. Can't he see how much he affects you? Can't he see how important he is to you? Don't you make it obvious? Don't you tell him enough?
"...That's not what you should be worried about right now."
So that's it.
Your wishful thinking made you look like a complete fool. What did you expect from a man who couldn't say what he wanted clearly?
This must be what it means to be in despair.

"(L/n)-san?"
You jump in your seat, startled by her voice when you are lost in your thoughts. A short-haired blonde woman steps in, grinning softly. "My name is Dr. Shiori, and I'll be the OB-GYN doctor who will attend to you."
"Yes, thank you." You're being nice, but you're unsure of what to say when you are so uncomfortable.
Shiori sits down in her chair and boots up her computer. Her room is cutely decorated with stickers and posters on the walls. It's also bright, with light streaming in through the blinds and a blaring one atop the ceiling.
"The nurse already took your vitals, including height and weight, so now we can check in on the fetus." The woman stands up to wash her hands before drying them and putting on gloves. "It's customary that on the first check-up, we inspect the position and heartbeat. Are you ready?"
No, no, you're not. "Of course."
The doctor turns on the ultrasound machine on a trolley by the examination table and informs you that she's going to lift your shirt. Your belly is displayed out, slightly rounded, and pooching differently than it did when you weren't pregnant.
"This is going to be a little cold." She squirts coupling gel on your tummy and swirls it around the skin with the transducer.
Vibrations rattle from the machine on your left, and the soundwaves of your internal organs are picked up. The screen is just a mesh of black-and-white lines as she rolls the wand over your stomach.
You have to turn your head away and manually control your breathing as you find yourself suddenly struck with nerves. Your skin is prickly hot, and a tightness returns to your throat.
Maybe it's all a joke?
Maybe you got it wrong?
Maybe you hear a heartbeat, a soft, rhythmic heartbeat, bellowing from the machine. Thump, thump, thump—it's a little fast but consistent and doesn't stop.
You can't help but turn your head to look. And there they are on screen. So small, curled with a round little belly and tiny hands.
"You should be around fifteen weeks. They're about the size of a plum or apple." Shiori informs as she watches the screen alongside you. "Aren't they amazing?"
"Yeah." It's breathed out while a sob holds strong in your throat. This is real; it's so real that nothing can even deny it anymore. That's your baby right there; that's your child breathing, sleeping, and relying on you to take care of them.
You've put your heart first, your feelings and love for Kei before your own pride. And now, this little thing comes before the love you hold for that man. If he doesn't want to be here for them, then it's his loss.
"Heartbeat is steady. The position looks acceptable. Everything is all good. Would you like a printed image of the fetus?" You nod quickly while wiping your eyes to free them of tears.
With that check-up completed, she cleaned you up, and the two of you sat at her desk to review prenatal educational materials and remedies for any unpleasant pregnancy symptoms. Your doctor is thorough and brings up topics that you hadn't even thought about to ask her.
But then she asks one question that squeezes your heart. "How are you with support? Is your family there for you or the baby's father?"
It feels embarrassing to have to say no; you have nobody. Several weeks have passed since you told Kei about your pregnancy, and he's gone radio silent. No text, not a single phone call; you don't even catch a glimpse of him on campus.
He said he needed time to think, and enough time had passed to come to terms with it. You're under the assumption that he wants nothing to do with you anymore.
"No." You try to smile up at her, but it feels strained. "It's just me."
Shiori's bottom lip quivers before she breathes out audibly and rummages through her desk to grab something. "Well, everyone has their circumstances." She places down a few cards and pamphlets. "These are some resources you can use. This is a group for expectant mothers to gather and support each other. And these are government websites that you can visit to apply for aid."
It's nice to have something that can help ease the financial and emotional burden of doing this alone.
"I suggest you also check this website out as well to schedule childbirth classes. They can be more educational than you might think, and there are knowledgeable women who can answer any questions you have and reassure you about any fears."
You stare at the aids and think to yourself, 'Maybe I can do this without anyone else.'
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
When you arrive back at your dorm after your appointment, it came as a surprise to see the bane of your existence leaning against the wall at your front door. With his headphones on, his attention focuses on his phone so leisurely it almost pisses you off.
You don't say anything as you approach and don't even look his way as you search through your purse for your keys. "Who are you here to see?" It's petty, and you know it, yet you can't help wanting to release some of your bitterness at him.
"Ceinwen."
Your fingers halt any movement as your head whips up at him, only to see his usual condescending smirk on his lips. The red hot coil in your stomach eases as you realize her weren't serious. You're still not...you still haven't worked through your own feelings.
Still, your heart yearns for him, and your chest aches at the idea of him being with someone else. "Real funny joke. I almost laughed."
"Then don't ask stupid questions," he responds as you unlock the door and step in. He follows right behind, shutting and locking the door while removing his shoes.
You're already making your way to the kitchen before placing down your prescriptions and groceries on the counter. The other girls are out of their classes, so you don't have to deal with their curiosity.
"Where did you go?" Tsukishima questioned as he approached the island and took a seat at the counter.
Oh yeah, he's just so comfortable acting like he hadn't been a ghost this entire time. "What have you been doing this whole time?" You retort while beginning to put away your things.
The blond groaned and leaned his arms on the island. "Can you not do this right now?"
Your eyes flicker to his face, seeing your reflection in his glasses before turning back towards the fridge. "Can you not waste my time right now?"
"(Y/n), can you be mature for just five minutes?"
Milk almost falls from your hands as the anger builds up in your body. "It's not fun, is it? Trying to get a response and get only questions back. Get's on your nerves, doesn't it?"
He doesn't reply, and you don't push for more as you finish putting everything away. It was not until you had to turn around to open your prescriptions that you got a look at his face.
His head is down, his vision on his hands as he breathes deeply. You'd like to think he was feeling remorseful, but that might just be wishful thinking. You never really know what's on his mind; you can't figure him out.
"You know..." The words are slightly strained as they leave your mouth. "I really don't have time to deal with you right now. I have to begin packing."
Immediately, his head whipped up, and his arms raised to place clasped hands against his lips. "Where are you going?" He asked softly.
"Nowhere right now." You inform while undoing a bottle of prenatal medicine. "I'm still looking for an apartment on the market. Can't raise a baby in a frat house." It really sucks, though, considering boarding was already paid for by tuition, and you had decent roommates.
Tsukishima held your gaze for a moment before bringing out his phone and scrolling on it. "I'll send my teammate's brother's number. He owns a couple of properties, and I know he'd be willing to help you out. They owe me favors after all."
How much work did you have to do to accept that you were going to do this all on your own? And after all that time staying silent, now he wants to help somewhat?
"Why are you doing this?" He peers up at you through his glasses. "Why try to help after like seven weeks of silence? I don't want anything from you if you're just going to be half in. Either you take full responsibility as this baby's father or take none at all. You're the only one that gets to walk away."
The blond slinked back in his seat as he crossed his arm over his broad chest. "What is with you and labels? I'm trying to help, and you're trying to start sh*t right now."
Blame it on the hormones, but your anger was simply unmanageable. It spurs tears to well up and cascade down your face in thick streams. His lips pursed tightly, and his entire spine had straightened up entirely at your visceral reaction.
"Don't you get it?! I'm in love with you. I've been in love with you so far long, even though you've treated me like sh*t and just some b*tch that you f*ck; I've been putting in all this effort for you to see that I am worth more than that."
You can't hold it down anymore; you can't act like you can just get over it. "I'm the one that knows what classes you have, when, and even what your grades are. I know what profession you want to go into. I know all about your volleyball history and how you got that scar in high school. I even go to every single one of your games, yet I bet you don't know that I'm even there."
It's like a damn was burst open, its walls destroyed as you cannot stop the torrent of water escaping through. "I know every song in your stupid f*cking playlist. I cancel any plans just in case you text and want to come over. I put in all this effort; I put you above everything else. I barely even asked for anything from you, and you barely even gave me the bare minimum."
With hands scrunched into fists, you step toward the island, your face just a few inches from each other. "...I didn't even ask you to take responsibility for this baby. All I wanted was for you just to tell me what you were feeling, what you were thinking."
How cathartic it feels to get that weight off your shoulders. You held that in, held everything in, because you needed to be careful with your wording. Now, it feels like you can breathe just a little easier.
Tsukishima swallowed strenuously as his head turned away, his gaze lingering on anything but you. "If I treat you so horribly, then why don't you just tell me off? Why do you keep torturing yourself?"
"Come on!" You grab the sides of his hair and force him to look at you. He doesn't even fight you while he frowns thickly. "I said it already. I'm in love with you. All I wanted was just to be yours officially."
Slowly, his hands reach up to grab your wrist and pull them away from his face. His skin is hot, his palms are clammy, and he's looking at you in a way that he never has before.
However, it seems that you got your hopes up as he stands back to his feet and turns away without another word. All you can do is watch him leave, hearing him unlock the front door and shut it behind him.
You thought that you were getting somewhere; you thought that, finally, you made it through the thick walls he'd put up. But once again, you're made to look like the fool.
Ring!
Your skeleton nearly jumped through your skin at the jolting call of your phone. Snatching it, you answer it without even looking at the screen as your hands aggressively wipe the tears off your face. "Hello?"
"I can't do it." Tsukishima's voice reverberates in your head.
"W-what...?"
He takes a deep breath on the other line. "I can't look you in the face and tell you that I'm in love with you too when I'm scared that doing so would make it real." Another breath, one shaky and uneven. "It being real means that it can all go to sh*t and destroy me. Not having you would destroy me, (Y/n)."
You're not even breathing, standing there staring at nothing with bated breath.
"Just...Just give me some time. I want to try for you but I'm not good at this. Every time I look you in the eyes, I can't get a single word out. You're too good for me, and I'm scared for when you realize that, too."
All the strength in your knees has dispersed as you slowly keel over, on your hands and knees, with your forehead pressing on the lacquered wooden floor.
Such simple words, a few sentences, yet it's all you've ever wanted to hear. You would have understood him if you knew how he felt.
"...Can you wait for me...?"
You shouldn't even entertain him. You shouldn't even give him any leeway to think that he can f*ck with your emotions anymore. Why are you the one that has to wait for him? He's already had three years to be able to get the words out.
But you're weak, in love, and pregnant. You just want him by your side for a bit of support. You want to believe that if you did, you're finally going to get the man you've always wanted.
"How long?" It feels like a gush of air from your lungs.
"I don't know." He answers after a moment of silence. "I know I have no right to ask anything else from you, but I want to be there for...for you and this baby. It took two to make that child, and I want to do my part."
You shouldn't say yes. You can do it on your own. You can do it by yourself.
But he has your heart in the palm of his hands.
"Okay."
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
Only briefly did you communicate with him the following four weeks. Just a few times, he texted to check in and make sure you were doing okay. He seemed busy, his responses short, but you already decided he had another chance.
But soon, you're going to confront him; how much longer are you supposed to wait?
Other than that, you've been doing everything you could to prepare for this baby. You're working more, saving up for future expenses. Right now, all your grades are passing, better than before, as you've dedicated yourself to fully graduating with excellent remarks.
You were going to need all the credibility you could gather when people would judge you right off the bat for having a baby so young. The childbirth classes you were taking were going well, and the support group of other expecting mothers helped you make good friends with other people who could actually relate to your situation.
It did feel like you were alone in this pregnancy when you were the only one experiencing the joys of expecting. There was your baby's first kick, the first movement when recognizing your voice; it was a shame your baby's father wasn't there to experience it.
However, he did something most shocking, which was the turning point in your relationship.
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
It's early morning; fog is still rolled out across the city, and dew drops still water the grass. The sun is so far off in the distance that its warmth doesn't reach you, leading to a scarf wrapped tightly around your neck and lower face.
You are dressed in a thick coat and several undertops, with your belly just growing big enough to press against the structure of your jacket. It's not huge yet, but by now, your baby should already be the size of a mango in your womb.
Quietly, you walked down the street from the bus stop until you arrived at a residential section with the address on your phone. The building was at least three stories, but it looked new and modern, with strong gates around the perimeter and a gate call box.
You pressed the button and informed the property owner at his office that you were here for your walk-in. The gate had opened, and he called to let you know to meet him downstairs at the specific number.
When you knocked and were let in, you most definitely did not expect the blond man himself to be sitting down on a sofa chair. He raised his head and met your gaze, a sly grin on his lips as he leaned his head against his fist. "Nice of you to join us." He muses at your flabbergasted expression.
Noriaki, the property owner, had only grinned with a closed-eyed smile. "Well, now that everyone is here, let's go look at the available room."
You couldn't say anymore, quite literally dumbfounded at that moment. Silently, you followed behind and entered one of the three apartments on the second floor. Immediately, you smell the scent of lime and are engulfed in light from the glass sliding door in the living room by the balcony.
"I had different counters put in and a new oven. The fridge isn't the latest model, but it's the most reliable one from the company." The brunet speaks as he leads you two around.
Tsukishima is silent, simply observing everything and checking the small details of certain appliances. The place was exquisite, with two rooms and a surprisingly large bathroom. Even the water pressure was intense and gushed forcefully from the showerhead.
It had everything you wanted, including a storage room just down the hall at the end that could be converted into a small room if needed.
You wanted this place badly, and even with the deal Noriaki made just for you, the final price still exceeded the budget you could afford to pay alone.
"So what do you think?" The owner asked once everything was explored and looked about.
"It's gorgeous." You state while a hand moves to press against the small of your back. "It's still just too much for me to pay by myself."
"Who said you're paying by yourself?" Tsukishima asked while flicking your forehead. "Why else do you think I'm here?"
Your head twists to the side with a brow raised almost dramatically. "I-you-" He pinches your cheek but grins a guileless smile that doesn't feel so mean.
"You're not the only one who was preparing. After all, we have a baby to take care of together." His words came out so smoothly that you struggled to comprehend them.
You're the one standing there gaping at him dumbfoundedly. You knew he needed time, but you hadn't expected to be ready for...well, this.
"Shall we go and sign the lease?" Noriaki asked lightly, hands clasped behind his back.
The blond was the one who answered you. "Yeah, let's go." And he was even the one to grab your hand and drag you to the elevator when you stood nearly shortcircuiting.
It feels surreal to get this from him when you have tried so hard before. Are things really changing for the better?
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
You had thought things were changing, yet when you asked him to go with you two for your twenty-week check-up, he said that he was busy. It was a little bit of wishful thinking to believe that he'd be there for everything.
Tsukishima was still the same person he was before, but only now has he stepped up to take care of his responsibility.
Really, you should have lowered your expectations to minimize your disappointment. But you put that aside for now as you arrive for your appointment. You were there for a check-up and to finally find out the gender of your little fetus.
"We're going to try something different," Dr. Shiroi communicated as she rolled into a different machine. It looked like a larger ultrasound machine with a bigger body and a more extended trolley. "This is a GE Voluson Ultrasound Machine. It's used to see a 3D/4D real-time visualization of your baby."
You've heard about this being used to render a physical mold of a blind woman's baby's face so she could feel what they looked like.
You cried when you saw your first ultrasound; you think you might bawl if you were to see something so visually accurate before birth.
The OB-GYN did the same thing she did last time, raising your shirt to smear the cool coupling jelly on your bare skin. As the transducer is being rolled around on your belly, you hear the sound waves of your body's natural functions while you lay eager to see the 4D rendering.
An abrupt knock echoes from your door as a nurse peeks in to look your way. "Sorry to interrupt, but there is a man here who goes by Tsukishima Kei. He says that he is here to see the mother of his child," she says quietly.
You're so startled by her words that you don't realize you were just lying there silently until Shiori spoke. "Well, should we let him in?"
Already on the verge of crying from your hormones, you could not trust your voice, so you nodded. The door shut slightly before it was opened again, and Tsukishima walked in while twisting his head away from the bright light in the room.
"Work was being a b*tch, and I couldn't get off-" His words come to a complete halt as a heartbeat fills the room—thump, thump, thump, a little slower, still as rhythmic and soothing as before.
He whipped his head your way, his golden brown eyes consumed by the sight on the screen. His shoulders had slumped, the straps of his bag falling as it hit the ground with a loud thud. You could hear him suck in a gasp with his mouth remaining agape.
"That's..." He didn't need to finish his sentence as you nodded and turned to look at it, too.
The screen has a black background, with the colored model of your fetus a medallion yellow hue. You can see the shape of their face, the roundness in their cheeks, and the imprint of their lips. They have all five fingers, with their right hand pressed against their face and the left circled against their chest. The little legs of the fetus are curled up to their chest, a secure position as they sleep so blissfully unaware of the world outside your belly.
"It's our baby, Kei."
He broke down. You can hear his body collapse in a waiting chair against the wall as he chokes on his breath. "My god."
Shiori hums as she moves the transducer slightly. "It looks like...a healthy baby girl. Congratulations."
You're doing it again; the tears are falling without an order. "Oh, a daughter." You croak with a hand reaching up to touch the screen. "We're having a daughter, Kei."
Gradually, your head turns back to face the blond, yet you couldn't imagine you'd ever see this sight. With his face hidden in the palms of his hand, you can see the slight droplets of tears peaking through between his fingers. His sagging shoulders are jittering while he clenched his jaw, holding in a sob.
You have become aware of many things during this pregnancy. You know you have faults, you know you're not perfect, and you know you've been thinking of Kei as cruel. There were many things you just assumed and took the initiative of believing and granted; it was because he never talked to you about what he truly felt, but still. There is still so much to learn about him.
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
The ride home in Tsukishima's car was silent; there was no talking, and not even the radio was playing. It was hard to have anything to say after such a touching familial moment at the doctors.
You wonder how he feels right now. Did it become so surreal when he finally heard his daughter's heartbeat, when he finally saw her little face staring right back at him? It was a distinct moment to which very few things could compare.
He pulled into the underground parking spot and turned the car on to park. Although it was shut off, the blond didn't move as he stared ahead through the glass. His hands are frozen on his lap while his expression remains impassive, unreadable.
"What's wrong?" It was a simple question, yet one he seemed to avoid as he usually kept his feelings all bottled up.
Yet you were pleasantly surprised when the young man had blown air out of his mouth and turned to face you. "This is real?" He asked softly.
"Yeah." You reply with a light chuckle. "It's all real, Kei. We're having a little girl, and she'll be here soon."
Tsukishima leaned back in his seat as his adam bobbed from a strenuous swallow. "Hate how thankful I am that you didn't move on from me."
You almost make fun of him, nearly; it was so hard to bite those words down. But you manage only to nod your head and place a hand on his. "Come on, let's go upstairs."
He didn't need to be told twice as he heaved his body out and wrapped his arms around the other side of the car to open the passenger side. "What a gentleman! " you jeered, yet he said nothing slyly back.
When you both had ridden the elevator to your floor and entered your apartment, the sun was just about setting. Its warm rays stream in through the glass sliding door, and you take a moment just to stand there and bask in it.
"Kei?"
He hums as you hear him kick over a box that still needs to be unpacked.
Turning to face him, he stares at you curiously. "We need to have better communication." He rolls his eyes dramatically, but you only laugh. "I'm serious. You don't even know how upset I was when I thought you didn't want to come to my appointment. If you had just told me that you were working and might not be able to get off, I would have been fine with that. You know what I would have told you?"
"Hmm?" He hums while shifting his gaze away and stuffing his hands in the pockets of his slacks.
"That it was okay, that I understood. If you had just told me that you wanted to be there, but something important like work was not letting you off, the heartache I felt, and the questioning of if you really cared about me would have never happened. It would have been that easy."
"I know that-"
You interject his words with a shake of your head as you step towards him. "Don't lie to me. What are you so scared of that makes it hard to communicate with me or just to tell me about your feelings?"
He sighs exasperatedly while cocking his head in a different direction. "I don't know, (Y/n)." His answering would have enraged you if it were the you before your pregnancy. But you've been through so much, had many realizations and conclusions, and are more open with your thoughts.
Lightly, you grab his hands and hold them firmly. His skin is warm, and his fingers and palms have rough callouses from his hard work playing volleyball. "Then we're just going to have to figure it together. Because there is no way you're getting rid of me. I love you, Kei. Where am I going to go when we're starting our future together right here?"
He breathes deeply, chest expanding before you hear the exhale. His golden brown eyes behind his dark frames finally look down at you with the corner of his lip quirking upwards. "I don't remember you being so sappy. It's gross."
"Ah!" You release his hands to poke him harshly at the waist. "Don't even lie. You know you like it. Someone at least has to be open with their feelings."
Tsukishima clicked his tongue while swatting your hand away. His towering body turned at an angle to walk down the hallway, though he had halted at first before turning back to face you. "You get on my nerves sometimes."
"Oh, I could say the same thing about you." You stress back to him playfully. "Now, instead of being a meaniehead, let's figure out what to do for dinner. I'm starving."
The blonde laughed to himself as he began walking in the direction of the kitchen, but not before flicking your forehead lightly. "Fat a**."
"And you like this fat a**. That's why I'm pregnant." You drawl while twirling a piece of your hair, and you get the exact response you wanted. He knocked over the napkin dispenser on the island counter from your remark and flung back to glare at you 'harshly.'
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
When a man finally steps up, you notice the effort he has put in that you should have deserved long ago. Finally, receiving the same amount you have put in feels rewarding in a way nothing else has.
Although his change seems drastic, perhaps he had always been like that. His insecurities and fear kept him from being the man he could be. You notice it almost immediately; the small things he's been doing have been adding up.
The foods you've been craving or briefly mentioned are in the cupboards the next day. You complained once that the towel you were using was becoming too small to wrap around yourself, and then suddenly, the next time you showered, two new towels were waiting for you on the counter.
When you've struggled to get up late at night to wash yourself, he throws your things down by your side of the bed and dramatically sits next to you. His rough hands would then surprisingly clean it for you tenderly, softly, but then once he was done, he'd complain about needing to baby you.
Yet even when he complains or mutters how annoying something is, he does it again and again. You've dreamed about who would be your one, and although he's a bit different than your imagination, he's exactly what you want.
Even with his silly little quirks.
"This is literally all common sense," Tsukishima complains while pointing down at your lesson binder. "What kind of dumb** doesn't know how to hold a baby."
You can only roll your eyes at his usual complaints. "You whine every time, yet you still come."
Tsukishima has been coming with you to your childbirth classes, to every single one, even though he complains every time. Nevertheless, each time you say you're going to go alone, he's prying you away from the bus stop and grabbing your hand to drag you to his car.
Maybe he should just say he wants to be around you instead of acting all snobby hehe.
"Somebody has to make sure you're not doing something stupid." He muttered, leaning back in his seat while crossing his arms over his chest.
Playfully gasping, you poke him at the waste. "Aw, you actually care about me?" The expression he had on his face when he whipped down to look at you was hilarious. It was as if he was saying, are you seriously serious right now?
A lady from behind your table laughs to herself as her husband snickers softly. "It's nice to see your caring boyfriend here as usual." Sachiko jest while resting her hands on her pregnant belly.
"He's not my boyfriend." Were your immediate words, you're just the mother of his child.
"Princess." Tsukishima suddenly lamented in a whiney voice while he wrapped a long arm over your back to hug your shoulders. "I wish you would stop telling people that when you are upset with me."
You nearly choke on your saliva as the others around you laugh lightly at the scene. "Young love." Someone sighs under their breath almost dreamily.
Most of his jokes either go over your head, or you let it slide, but this one was sticking to you. Although things have been changing, most definitely for the better, the topic of your relationship with each other wasn't brought up.
He's taking responsibility and fully investing in it, but you want him to be more. Maybe that was your issue: always wanting more.
For the rest of the class, you were silent, listening to the lady up front but not joking around with the blond by your side. He noticed it, you could tell, but he refrained from bringing it up in front of the others. It wasn't until the two of you were in the car, driving back to your apartment, that he spoke.
At thirty weeks pregnant, you really cannot help if your emotions control you so strongly.
"Alright, what's bothering you now?" He asked while leaning an elbow on his door side.
"Nothing." Came your mumbled reply as you rested your head on the window, staring out at the darkness of the late night.
Tsukishima sighed exhaustedly before flicking on his turn signal and shifting. "I'm only going to ask you what's wrong once. After that, you can act like a kicked puppy all you want."
You sneered at him while turning your head in his direction. "You're just going to make fun of me."
"Even if you are going to say something stupid, I'm still gonna answer."
Your eyes stare at his side profile for a moment as you debate whether or not to tell. But you give him soon after as you couldn't go any longer feeling wretched. "I'm sad that we're not dating. I know that I'm the mother of your baby, but I also want to be your girlfriend, maybe wife one day."
The car came to an abrupt halt that had you jerk in your seat. The blond turned to face you with his eyes squinted and lips stretched into a frown. "What the hell are you on about? Of course, we're together." He states as if it were so apparent.
Now it was your turn to have a bewildered expression while you held your hands out, pointing at yourself. "Um, how am I supposed to know that? We never officially stated what we were, and you never asked me. What am I supposed to think?"
"God, why are you like this?" He complains as he starts driving again. "I thought it was obvious. You're the mother to my child. We're living together. I took responsibility, and that means being there for not only the baby but you as well."
You hated that he was right, somewhat. Slouching in your seat and pouting, you shifted your gaze back to the window. "I just wanted some clarification. Would have been nice if you asked me." Your mumbling words immediately result in a sigh from the man.
He pulled into the underground parking lot and parked before turning to face you. "Will you be my girlfriend?"
Slowly, you turned your head to meet his gaze. "No."
"(Y/n)." He groaned while yanking his keys out of the ignition. "Stop playing around. I'm being serious."
"So am I. Either put in the effort actually to ask me to be yours or don't ask me at all. I deserve to be treated just a little bit more importantly."
He was silent the rest of the night, and you hadn't brought it up again. You were tired of the bare minimum, and even though he has been proving more and being there, you wanted him just to try a little bit harder.
And it seemed that your words had gotten to him. The following day, you woke up to his side of the bed already done and remade. He probably had classes that early morning, so you weren't in a rush to get ready for your day.
Lazying about for a little longer, you decided to get up after a while once your stomach cried for some food. Yet you quite nearly sh*t yourself at the sound of something moving in your kitchen. Peeking over as carefully as you could with a pregnant belly, you had not expected to see Tsukishima cooking in the kitchen.
He wore your frilly pink apron over his work clothes as he made all your favorite things. You stepped closer, astonished and astounded by things you didn't expect, like the candies and cute little teddy bears on the counter. Or vases of your favorite flowers with cards leaned against them.
Tsukishima heard the pitter-patter of your footsteps and spoke without turning around to face you. "I realized I've never given you flowers."
You're nearly in tears from your hormones. "How did you know those were my favorite flowers?" You asked with a slight squeak to your voice.
The blonde circled around to place another plate down in the middle of the items he bought. "I know a lot about you too, (Y/n). Now eat; I have to be back at work in an hour."
Respring a heavy breath, you held back your tears and took a seat on the island. You couldn't wait to dig in, and dig in, did you? The man himself had stayed in the kitchen, washing the dishes before leaning against the counter and just watching you eat.
By the time you were done, everything was eaten up, and you slouched in your seat, patting your bulging belly over your sleepwear. "That hit the spot."
Tsukishima hummed while stepping forward to lean his elbows on the surface by your plate. "Now that you've eaten my food, you have no right to refuse me asking you to be my girlfriend." You peered at him with squinted eyes while attempting to hold down a smile. "So, will you finally be my girlfriend?"
Yeah, that made you feel good. "I suppose." You sing it impishly." "Yes, I will be your girlfriend."
"Good." After all that, he walked over to your side to kiss your temple before going to the front door to put on his coat and leave for work.
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
Throughout your pregnancy, Tsukishima has surprised you, and he continued to surprise you constantly. It feels like all that sadness and despair that happened before was decades ago. It feels so silly to think about the issues you had and how all of it could have been avoided if you both just communicated better.
And although he still struggles with expressing himself clearly and not just holding a mask over his true feelings, he's putting in the effort that you've always wanted.
However, he still continues to surprise you when one day, at thirty-six weeks pregnant, he tells you to get dressed because you are going to meet his family.
You were in a daze while preparing to go, and on the long car ride there, you couldn't help but get more anxious. Meeting his family was such a huge step. It felt like it made your relationship even more real. He's not someone who would bring around just anyone, and yes, although you are pregnant with his baby, he didn't have to introduce you at all.
When finally arrived at his home, you felt like you were going to throw up. You're breathing had increased in speed as you gasped for air.
"(Y/n), breathe," Tsukishima murmured and grasped at your clenched hands. Your eyes fling his way only for him to have leaned forward and kissed your lips softly. Oh, how you melted in his embrace. "There is nothing to be nervous about. They love you already."
You stared at him with your lips slightly agape. "You talk about me to them?"
"Of course." He states while raising a hand to pinch your cheek lightly. "I've talked about you long before you were even pregnant."
It was too much for your little 'ol heart; you couldn't stop the tears that prompted the blond to swipe them away quickly. "Stop crying. You're going to make it seem like I abuse you."
"Abuse me with love." You joke with a quivering voice.
Kissing your lips once more, he pats your face dry while avoiding your gaze. "You can be so annoying sometimes."
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
The birth came unexpectantly, just cramps and leg pain that you thought was normal as you had them before when you brought your thirty weeks.
Yet when a particular piercing cramp in your lower belly woke you from your slumber and a wetness spread between your thighs, you knew what was happening.
You awoke your partner with a startled cry and told him what had happened. He was up to his feet in an instant. Throwing on his clothes, he helped you clean up first, then put on your clothes and threw the to-go bag in the car.
The blond does not show his emotions easily, yet you can tell he is nervous from his thumping leg and jittery fingers. As he made his way to the hospital, he kept looking at you, checking on your condition.
Arriving, the nurses were quick to take you away to get checked and placed in a birthing room. You had to deal with the contractions that came in rolling waves of pain and tight uncomfortableness.
Laying on the hospital bed with the time ticking and your contractions beginning to arrive quicker than before, something hot started to creep up your spine.
Nerves and anxiety spiked, overwhelming you as they gripped your mind tightly. Tsukishima noticed the slight change in your demeanor quickly, rolling his chair closer to your side.
"What's wrong?" He asked genuinely.
You can only look up at him with tears in your eyes. "I'm scared, Kei. What if something goes wrong? What if-" He silences you efficiently with one of his hands moving to hold the side of your face.
"It's okay to be scared," he murmured, looking at you with tender eyes. "I'm scared, too. I'm afraid to finally hold our daughter in my arms and realize that our entire world will revolve around that little thing." His thumb caressed your cheek, the calloused texture scratchy yet comforting against your skin. "We're going to be okay. Our daughter is going to be okay. God, I can't even wait to hear her annoying little baby cries."
You cannot help but laugh and reach to hold tightly onto his other hand. "That's going to get old real fast."
"It will," he replied, smiling genuinely. "But we'll experience it all together."
For the rest of the night, he was by your side, holding your hand and distracting you from the contractions. When Shiori came and said you were dilated enough, the birthing began.
It's happening—it was finally happening! After months of preparation, after months of talking to her through your skin, she'll be out here, able to be held in your arms.
The childbirth classes you took prepared you for this, and they told you about the pain, but the process of pushing her out through your pelvis was a pain you were absolutely unprepared for. You had screamed and grunted, choking on your own breath as you pushed.
Period cramps had nothing on this; you couldn't even fathom it. Tsukishima was actually useful, letting you squeeze his hand until it almost broke and talking you through it. His voice was so soothing as he attempted to keep his pitch calm.
With him by your side as a support pillar, you felt safe and secure. And to think you were going to do it alone before. How strong all those single mothers must be to be able to lay here in this bed and experience this pain by themselves.
And finally, after several hours of pushing and screaming and crying, the shrill cry of a newborn filled the delivery room. Oh, her little cry, it blared over the sounds of the machine and nurses talking.
"You did it." Tsukishima congratulated you with a kiss on your sweaty temple. "So proud of you, Princess."
Smiling weakly, the two of you watched as a midwife took your daughter to a sink and cleaned her carefully before weighing her. Your hand that was gripping him from the pain was now merely holding him tightly to ground yourself back to reality.
She's so tiny, yet she already has a head of thick hair. The midwife wrapped your baby carefully in a pink blanket and small little pink beanie before placing her on your chest.
You and your partner just stare at her in awe, overwhelmed by her ugly cuteness. Her crying had ceased, and finally, her eyes had opened to stare back at you two with her father's golden brown eyes. It's so warm; her gaze is so warm and innocent.
These little sounds vibrate on your skin. It's like her little humming and gurgling are helping your heartbeat. This is your baby, the daughter of you, and the love of your life.
"There's no one I'd rather have been the mother to my child," Tsukishima muttered while raising a finger to rub against her cheek. "Only you could give me such a beautifully ugly thing."
A laugh reverberates against your chest, and your daughter curls her head against your skin as if she recognizes who you are. "Do you think she will be tall?"
"Interesting thing to ask right after birth." The blond replied, looking at you sideways before knocking your head lightly with his. "Whether she'll be tall or not, we'll find out together. But I know she'll be as pretty as her mother."
You grin, overwhelmed by the pure happiness you are feeling at this moment. "I love you." Your first words were directed at your daughter before you looked up to meet your boyfriend's gaze. "And I love you too."
His lips pursed, tight and firm, before he closed his eyes and rested his head atop yours. "I love you too."

She wanted some drama and toxicity, so I gave it to her.
This is actually the first character x reader story I've written in two years. Everything has been about my monster OCs, lmao. It felt nice to go back to my roots as an anime oneshot writer and pull the moves out.

Hi op. I want to tell you that Romani people do not speak Spanish as their mother tongue . I recently read your Mihawk post and I loved it it’s amazing but as an Spaniard I would like to warn you that it’s a sensitive subject . It is true that there are strong roots of Romani culture in Spain. But so it is in every country in Europe specially south Europe. I recommend you for future reference , try avoiding Spanish or French as their form of communication when it comes to Romani mihawk. Romani people have their beautiful language that I bet would make it even more interesting to use as dialogue . I’m coming from a place of respect, and I hope I don’t offend you in any way but it is a common misconception I hope I can clarify . Have a good night ! You are super talented and I wish you the best
Thank you for this, I actually didn't know there was any Romani culture at all in Spain, i just thought it was like an uncanon fact that Mihawk speaks Spanish.
I did think it was weird that everyone in the fandom just unanimously agreed he spoke Spanish when he was supposed to be a Romanian man hehe.

He once said that you belonged to the sky.
The vast endless was your home, and its soothing clouds were your bed. When you extended a hand down from your heaven, it would rain or hail or snow.
You would influence the sun to conceal itself behind your storms of grief and sorrow. And when you would step away from your land in the sky, it would shine like a reflective Eden.
Your home was the sky where you thrived, but a man called you down from your paradise. His hands felt of the past, his gaze of the present, and lips caressing your own like the future.
It was supposed to be a trip to indulge in your desires, but his home on the land became yours. The castle was where he beds you every night and provides you with reasons to stay.
Yes, you once belonged to the sky. But now your home rest where the man lay.
And every once in a while, that paradise behind the clouds calls you to return home. But you reply to wind wailing for your return with the same thing.
"I am where I need to be. I am where my heart lies, where it dwells, and where it relishes."
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
"(Y/n)!"
Your gaze lifted from the sea as the howling wind around you ceased its singing. Perona floated through the walls of your room and neared your frame outside on the terrace.
"Perona, what is it that you need?" You quired while the rocking in your chair ceased. The lemonade pink-haired woman shivered and shook her head.
"It's cold out here, (Y/n)!" She whined, which permitted a laugh from your mouth.
"What do you mean? There's not even a breeze anymore."
The younger woman rolled her enlarged ink-black optics and grasped your wrist, hauling you onto your feet. "It's getting dark, and dinner's ready. I would have sent Zoro, but you know he can't even find the way out of a straight path!"
Sharing a laugh with the female, you both conversed lightly as you made your way to the dining room. The moss-haired male was already seated, waiting patiently with his arms crossed over his bandaged chest.
"Aww." You cooed. "Were you waiting for me?"
The young male clicked his tongue and released his arms to grasp his fork. "Damn, woman. Beats me to a pulp and then acts as if nothing happened." He murmured under his breath, a laugh reverberating from your chest as the two of you took a seat at the table.
"You asked for me to train you while Mihawk is out for the Warlord Summoning, so I did." You mused, your hands reaching for the said man's favorite wine glass.
"To train." He stressed. "Not to kill me!"
Waving your hand dismissively, the three of you began to eat in silence with the occasional conversation over minuscule things.
Eventually, the return of your lover became a topic that the two younger adults became interested in.
"I wouldn't know. He said not to expect him for another month or two."
Zoro groaned and hid his face in his hands. "Your training is going to kill me." He sulked.
Perona kicked his foot under the table and pointed her fork at the male. "You should be grateful, and it's good training. Don't you want to impress Mihawk when he comes back?"
That last part seemed to get the man's attention as he cocked his head to the side and grunted. He didn't reply and instead shoved a bite of meat into his mouth.
You chuckled at his reaction and leaned back in your seat, swirling the red wine carefully before bringing it to your lips.
"I don't know how you do it." Perona's words caught your gaze, and you tilted your head for her to explain.
"I don't know how you stay with someone you barely even see more than what, maybe four times a year?" She hummed and set her utensil on her empty plate.
Your lips pursed curtly as you thought to yourself what to say. There were many things to reply with, but you knew the woman always wanted to know what was deep in your heart.
"I gave up a lot of things to be with him." You stated before sipping the rest of the dark liquid in your glass. "I knew what I wanted, I knew what would happen, but I still chose to stay here. People say you do stupid things when blinded by love, but I knew the mask of passion wasn't influencing my answer."
It was silent in the dining room until the swordsman's chair screeched against the ground as he stood to his feet. "Way to get sappy."
A gust of wind blasted against the male's body, sending him tumbling to the floor and landing flat on his side.
"You'll understand one day, Zoro." You mused, (e/c) optics glimmering in amusement with the other female bellowing out in laughter.
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
The wind kissed against your skin, a patch of warm rays from the sun casting a vibrant glow on your body. Your (e/c) optics became visible as you peeled back your lids and gazed out at the vast ocean before you.
Its waves crawled closer and closer to the shore until they licked your bare feet. The chillness of the water yielded a shiver creeping up your spine.
Even as you wandered out of the castle, you still felt that suffocating isolation. The walls of the chateau caged you in, and even outside, it seemed as if the ocean wished to claim your body.
When you first came to Kuraiagana Island, it wasn't like this at first. You were still free as ever, breathing along with the wind and basking in the firmness of the ground.
And when you fell in love with the owner of the castle, it felt as if nothing could weigh you down. That was until the honeymoon phase began to dissipate, and the man ventured off on summonings.
His lack of presence was like chains that clasped on your limbs and held you down on the ground. They pulled and tugged, everything aching as if you fought a war.
The only time those oppressive chains released you was when your significant other returned back in your arms and held you as if you were to float away.
He was all you ever wanted, all you have ever loved.
You missed him with every fiber of your body, and with each passing day, your response to the calling winds became less genuine.
By the time you returned from your thoughts, the waters had reached your hips, drenching the shorts on your bottom as they rose higher up your hips.
Clicking your tongue, you abruptly stood to your feet, the patch of sunlight immediately enclosed with dark clouds that matched the gloomy atmosphere of Kuraigana Island.
You planted your feet firmly into the sand as a gust of wind dried your clothes as if they'd never touched the ocean before.
Trekking back to the castle, you entered it only to be surprised by a warm arm circling around your back. Your brows rose as you flung your head in the other direction believing it to be Mihawk, only to see Red-Haired Shanks.
The man grinned at you brightly and pulled your body into his 6'6 (198cm) frame. "Good to see that you're still healthy and all!" He beamed, squeezing you tighter before slowly releasing his hold.
A lopsided grin displayed on your lips as you patted the emperor's tan cheeks. "You silly man! What are you doing here?"
His lips parted to speak; however, loud, boisterous laughter from inside the castle stole your attention, and quickly recognized the multitude of voices.
"You just wanted to party and drink Mihawk's alcohol." You jeered, your fingers gripping his cheeks and tugging on them.
"(Y/n)!" The grown man whined like a child being reprimanded by their mother. "We've missed your company, and we know how lonely you are, so we decided to come to visit!"
Your lips pursed curtly as you examined his handsome facial features before turning away. Shanks followed suit easily with his long limbs.
The two of you traveled to the living room where the Red-Haired Pirates drank to their heart's content. Their laughter filled the once frigid and empty castle, and instead of feeling enranged, you were delighted.
"(Y/n)!"
Your name was bellowed out from the pirate crew, who quickly threw compliments and greetings your way.
Waving your hand as if you were royalty, you stepped through the men to set yourself on Mihawk's throne.
"If you're here to cure my solitary, then drink and drink till you cannot even breathe anymore!" You boomed, which received courses of 'hoo-hah's' from the men.
A mug of something apricot color was placed in your hands by the redhead. Your cups clanged together before downing it as if they were air.
Zoro had quickly joined the drinking party, using it as an excuse that he needed a break from his torturous training.
Perona stayed away from the alcohol but gained her fun from using her ghost to suck the happiness and self-moral from the already vulnerable pirates.
For the first time in a long time, there was joy filling the cold castle on that gloomy island.
You don't know how long the party lasted, but eventually, the emperor pulled you away from the drunken crew and continued in the library.
The two of you shared stories like the old times and drank bottles of wine that still never put either of you in a drunken haze.
Eventually, your laughter died down like wind. You rested your back against one end of the couch with Shanks mimicking on the other end.
Tapping your nails along the glass surface of your drink, you leaned your cheek against your fist as the redhead finished yet another bottle.
"(Y/n)! Join my crew!"
You raised an eyebrow, taken aback by his assertive sensitivity for a moment before you shook your head.
"Thank you for the offer, my emperor, but I would have to decline politely." You stated while licking your wine-coated lips.
Shank's sulked against the armrest and drew circles on the cushion like a child. "Why?" He whined and clicked his tongue. "You'd be so much happier free, able to see the world other than just this gloaming castle."
"Shanks," You warned and kicked his foot with yours. "I am happy; I gave up a lot of things to be here because I knew what I wanted. I wanted him."
The red-haired emperor remained silent as he gazed at the towering ceiling, appearing to be deep in thought with a perplexed expression.
He abruptly grasped another wine bottle and removed the plug easily with his fingers. "You know..." He began and trained his gaze on your beautiful, almost unearthly features. "Some people practice a custom of maintaining more than one partner."
Your lips fell agape, (e/c) optics enlarging at his words. "Excuse me?"
"Mihawk is barely even around anymore, leaving the most beautiful woman I have ever set my eyes on to feel an immense loneliness every day. How could I leave you like this, (Y/n)?"
He scooted closer and reached for hands. The warmth of his skin on yours permitted your stomach to twist and churn.
It had been so long since receiving a touch from another, and it made you only yearn for the Dracule man more.
"(Y/n)." He breathed out your name and placed your hand on his bare chest where his heart lay beneath his muscles. "You don't even need to place me above Mihawk; just let me stay by your side this time. I could be your last option, but it wouldn't even matter if you would just look at me the same way you would look at him."
The room felt cold, with the wind howling outside as if a storm were approaching. The pain in his voice - the longing - had your throat tightening.
Your hand upon his skin felt to be scorching, becoming almost unbearable that you had to remove it from his body.
But before you could do such a thing, a cold hand on your arm assisted in removing yours. Your gaze immediately flung upwards, and the sight of your handsome lover had your whole body flushing.
"I believe you've had too much to drink, Red Hair," Mihawk declared in his familiar indifferent tone; however, there was a hint of menace.
His ringed molten golden gaze met yours, and all the air dissipated from your lungs. Your lips parted to speak, but there was so much you wanted to say that you remained silent.
"Come, Mi Amor."
It was as if being pulled into a spell the way you obeyed obediently. Your body twisted off of the cushion to grasp the man's large hands.
He didn't hesitate to depart from the enormous library and pull you away with him.
"My love, when did you come home? Why didn't I receive any messages of your arrival?" You quired; however, the man remained silent.
His lack of response was alarming, filling your chest with dread as your quick footsteps echoed out in the stone hallways.
Barely even using any strength, the double doors to your bedroom were opened. He pressed your body into your mattress as he remained on top, one of his hands gripping your throat firmly.
"Mi Linda chica, I should not be returning home to see Mi Amor being wooed by another." He expressed with his deep ethereal voice.
You swallowed thickly against his calloused palm, the slight pressure sending jolts of thrill down your body.
"Oh my handsome man, jealous of the Emporer?" You grinned and rose your legs upwards to wrap around his toned hips.
The long mauve skirt that covered your limbs pooled down and revealed your taunting legs for him to see.
His ringed molten gaze dropped to your limbs as one of his large calloused hands reached for them. He gripped them firmly and dug the pads of his fingertips into your flesh.
"Jealous? Not I. For I am the only man that touched you before, touch you now, and can touch you in the future."
Your grin grew as you rose your arms to wrap around his neck and pull him down to your face. "Then touch me, my Warlord." You mused.
The man hummed in satisfaction, his molten ringed golden eyes memorizing the sight of your body beneath his.
For so long he had been gone from you and his castle, traversing through unsympathetic oceans and dealing with the six other Warlord.
Specifically having to hold himself back from striking a particular blond-haired, flamingo pink wearing giant.
Yet nothing was going to stop him from returning home as fast as possible to his lover.
To you and only you.
Mihawk removed his wide-brimmed black hat along with his crucifix dagger and a half-button shirt. Half bare you let your eyes wander all over his toned torso riddled with muscles.
The rows and folds of his abbs were so prominent, and when you ran your fingers across his abdomen the texture of its firmness forced your inside to burn like fire.
"You ordered for me to touch you, Mi Amor. Not for it to be the other way around." His words reverberated from his chest and you could practically feel the vibrations.
"Touch me all you want." You stated. "And I will do the same. So long I have been without you, the winds charms began to become more appealing."
Cocking his head to the side, the man dropped his hands to stroke your legs and stimulant the nerves underneath.
"Then I must apologize. With both my words and my actions. I promise, *Te haré recordar por qué te quedas en esta tierra conmigo."
*I will make you remember why you stay on this land with me
Dracule Mihawk was a man known to never break his promise. When he would commit to something he would commit to it wholeheartedly.
And if the promise so much as involved you, then there was nothing in the world that would stop him from keeping it.
Hard yet diligent, the older Romanian swordsman followed through with his plans. And tonight, he would undoubtedly be reminding you of many reasons why you loved him as so.
His rough coarse hands unbuttoned your top to reveal your breast beneath hidden in the undergarment.
They moved with your breathing and called to him like a purpose calls to someone's will.
There was no rush even the two of you yearned for the touch of the other. These moments were feverish yet intimate.
Lovemaking, body worshipping, and moments of praise that connected your souls together. As if they were ripped apart and put into the two of you separately, only to one day become whole again when your paths had crossed.
And so the Warlord undid the garment while also removing the one below your skirt. The only item left on your body was the mauve dress but he appeared to not even mind the apparel at all.
With your only torso bare, your lover decorated every inch of your skin in his kisses, his love bites, his markings.
He desired to once again claim the body you had given to him in a desperate manner to love you. To show how you drove him mad with l*st he had never felt before in all his life.
Your hands merely ran through his short onyx black hair before tugging once his mouth found its place on your chest.
Mihawk's strong tongue reminded you of how powerful his mouth was, with both words and actions. You could only melt into his touch on the bed and become puddy to the swordsman.
You watched him closely, remember how his tongue felt on your mounds and how his warm wet lips sucked with vigor.
Tinglings sensations ran amuck in your abdomen, and for a second you felt embarrassed for growing so aroused from your mere chest being played with.
But it soon disappeared when one of his hands traversed down your body and made its home in the space between your legs.
Your breath hitched, eyes shutting as a satisfied hum left your mouth. Not only was the Romanian man skilled with his tongue, but his fingers as well.
He explored your private area, finding nostalgia in remembering where certain areas made you flinch and how much pressure could make you quiver.
The swordsman continued his onslaught on your body until that tingling grew stronger and your muscles tightened.
Sweat coated the back of your neck and your fingers dug into the silken cushion of your shared bed. Your whimpers were a song that not even the best musicians could reproduce.
And the fact that he - Dracule Mihawk - was the only man who had ever heard those sounds and would continue to be the only man who would, drove something feral inside of him.
The satisfaction of bringing about only one release wasn't enough for him, not at all. You are the woman he is so madly in love with, the only one that can make his knees weak with a simple glance.
How could this man not show you the proper treatment of what it means to love him with all your heart?
So, after your first release, the Warlord removed his lips reluctantly from your chest but hungrily connected them with yours.
All while his fingers that had caressed and pressed down on your sensitive areas, now pushed past moistened slits to enter your body.
You gasped in the heated kiss and leaned your head back to take in the sensation of his deliciously coveting penetration.
Mihawk hummed at your reaction and kissed the corner of your lips. "*Eso es todo, Mi Amor. Relájate y recuerda lo mucho que te amo." He whispered, his chest rumbling against yours with his speech.
*That's it, my love. Relax and remember just how much I love you.
And so you did, laying almost limp in his arms as the man kissed you with all the passion and desire he had.
While your lips moved in synch, his fingers brought that tingling sensation back. They worked as if they were magic and grazed against those sensorial spots inside that made you a mess in his arms.
He continued on, increasing his pace to see how he snatched the wind out of out. And slowing down at certain points to also grind his palm so he was stimulating everything.
You blessed him with your satisfied sounds and bestowed him with the sight of your overwhelmed body.
Sweat coated your skin, glimmering in the moonlight that cast its majestic glow on your frame. Your hands tugged and pulled at his hair to gift him with the pain of knowing how good he was making you feel.
The Romanian man was the luckiest person in the world for having been allowed to touch you like this. He was all the more thankful that you chose him and only him.
You felt drained as your lover pulled multiple climaxes from you, all with just his fingers. Your chest heaved with exhaustion and your muscles clenched with scorching passion.
While laying lethargically, he spoke Spanish to you. His deep low voice rumbling against your body, praising you in his native tongue.
It was all so overstimulating but there was more to come, there was always more.
Gone for so long you forget how wild the man could be, how much he desired for you to be an utter bumbling mess before he even so much as thought of having his own climax.
Quite dangerous for your heart and for your soul.
Blessing you with a slow and cordial kiss, he pulled away only to undo his black slacks and reveal his entire bare body for only your eyes to see.
Well endowed and trimmed, your lover presented himself both arrogantly and proudly. For his shape and size that left your mouth watering would only belong to you.
Mihawk tugged you towards the edge of the bed as he grasped the back of your thighs and pulled them apart.
He guided himself inside, the tip stretching you already before being deathly filled with the thicker longer parts of his length.
Once again, your breath was stolen from the depths of your lungs. You were left with your lips parted and (e/c) eyes rolling back into your head, dazed.
And like the supportive caring man your lover was, he talked you through the slight sting from the stretched and praised you with many words of affirmation.
No amount of words could describe how loved you felt in the moment and you definitely were forgiving him for being gone as long as he was.
You held the swordsman's face in the palms of your hands as you kissed again, the both of you relishing in the sensations of one another.
The warmth, the wetness, the intimacy, and the passion were shared amongst yourself in the moment of stillness.
It was a moment you both wanted to remember and capture for when he would depart again later. But for now, you would not think of the sadness and let the bliss course through your veins.
Using his prominently toned and muscular hips, the Romanian man pulled away which left this empty and odd sensation inside of you.
But when he rolled inside and met the entrance to your womb, you were nothing but full.
You couldn't help but moan into the kiss as Mihawk sucked in a breath and grunted quietly. Curses in Spanish left his lips along with your nicknames.
Your insides fluttered and your nerves ignited like flames blooming from a fire. Watching and observing each other's er*tic expressions was like drinking your favorite wine.
It was like actually becoming drunk on the sight and only wanting to devour more of it. Not only the sight but the sound of it all.
His low grunts and growls, the creaking of the bed, and the wet squelching noise every time he rolled in and kissed the entrance to your womb.
Nothing else filled your head but the man that drove himself deep inside and skimmed against every sensitive spot in you.
He made you barely able to speak, quivering from his powerful strokes that sent jolts of delight all through your body.
Mihawk was nothing but attentive as he praised you highly in your ear. Everything you made him feel, he made sure you knew it, whether it be in your shared language or his native tongue.
Already so weak from your earlier climaxes, you didn't last very long until he brought about your next one.
Crying out his name-like desperate pleads and dropping your hands to grasp the sheets, the man talked you through your release like a good loyal man.
Informing you how good you were doing and how good you felt. Describing how tight you squeezed and how delicious you looked, he was helping but also bringing you towards another overstimulating release.
What were you even sad about before? You don't remember.
Your head was empty, not a single thought but the man who stole you from the sky and brought you down to earth in his castle.
His grip on the back of your knees grew tighter as he pushed them down into a mating press. He was already so deep before, but now he was reaching your lungs.
Continuing on, rolling and thrusting, and rocking, he brought you to another climax before he finally reached his but even then he wasn't done being spent.
At one point your nails had ripped the sheets apart but you didn't even take notice with your eyes blinded in tears from the overstimulation.
Your voice was stolen from you, pleasuring you so well, treating you like a goddess, that the only thing you could do was try to breathe.
Every hearty thrust of his toned hips would steal your breath away and every kiss of his refused to give it back.
It was like he was choking you, asphyxiating you, without even grabbing your throat.
His strong grip formed bruises on your legs just as his mouth did on your chest. He wanted to swallow your moans down his throat just as much as he wanted to hear them.
The swordsman's groans grew louder, throatier when you reached yet another high. Basically chanting his name like a melodic hymn, praising him like a divine god, it was merely whispered from the dryness in the back of your throat.
Although it wasn't loud enough to gain the attention of the pirates within the castle, the rocking of the bed, the skin-on-skin contact, and squishing noise must have been indications enough of the King taking his Queen to the high lands.
"Mi Amor! Mi Amor!" He would grunt under his breath as his stomach contracted from the euphoria filling his veins like frozen ice.
It was all too overwhelming for the Romainian man as well and soon he had released inside of you more times than the two of you could remember.
He dropped your legs down and pressed himself against your chest, his arms wrapping around the small of your back to hold you close.
Stilling himself, plugging inside of you, Mihawk kissed you with all the passion he could muster.
That night, he reminded you why you left, why you stay, and what awaits in the future.
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
Let the days pass where the man remained home and loved you as if he could never get enough. Where he touched you as if you would disappear, and kissed you as if he were always a starving man.
It didn't take long for the ghost girl and moss-haired swordsman to notice a certain change in your routine as well as your body.
"Are you calling me fat?" You sought and crossed your arms under your chest.
Zoro waved his hands frantically before being hit on the head by Perona. "You don't just say that to someone, you dimwit!" She exclaimed before turning to face you with a bright smile. "What he was trying to say was that you have this glow! We think you might be pregnant."
For a moment you stood frozen, your mind whirling like machinery with your lips falling agape.
"Pregnant? I'm...Pregnant...?" Even saying the words you still couldn't believe it. But your belly had been growing and your breast had become tender.
You had missed your time of the month and there were aches you just believed were from the constant lovemaking but it did make sense.
"Where is Mihawk?" You abruptly ordered as you came to your senses.
The two younger adults pointed down the hallway to the library where he must be reading and drinking from his wine collection.
With quick and urgent footsteps you strutted over to the room and barged in with not a single care if you had startled him.
"Mihawk! Mihawk, my love!" You cried and strode over to the Romanian man who sat on his throne, a hand gripping his wine glass with the other holding a newspaper.
His gaze immediately left the paper at the haste in your voice and he provided his full attention to you. "What is it, Mi Amor?"
Grasping the man's face and feeling the texture of his sideburns in the palm of your hands, you focused his ringed molten eyes on your stomach.
"I'm...I'm pregnant."
And just like when you came to the realization of your status, Mihawk sat frozen on his throne. His chest barely moved while his hold on his objects slackened.
To your surprise, he placed the glass and newspaper down and swiftly stood to his feet to wrap his arms around your body.
He spun you around with his face hidden in the crook of your neck. You couldn't help but squeal at his action and gripped his firm biceps with your nails.
"Mi Amor, you are such a wonderful woman." He expressed quietly against your skin. "You have given me nothing but bliss and continue to make me fall more in love with you every day."
You bit your lip, the inner corner of your eyes burning as cold shiny tears glossed over. The joy inside continued to grow like a ball of warmth.
The swordsman released his firm hold only to drop to his knees and kneel so his face was leveled with your stomach.
"You bless me with a life shared of us both. If you so much as ask it, I will give you this entire world to rule under your fingertips." Your lover confessed and kissed your cloth-covered belly.
Merely running your nails through his short onyx hair, you tugged at it lightly to gain his attention. "All I want is for you to be home more. Don't leave us alone as you have been. We don't want to return to the place in the sky." You replied in a tender tone.
Glancing up, the man stood to his full 6'6 (198 cm) stature and grasped your face in his hands. "Oh, Mi Amor. I don't deserve you at all." He hummed before leaning down to grace your lips with a sultry kiss.
"I promise you, things are going to change. For the better all the more."
Dracule Mihawk kept his promises like a true man. He was never going to break it for as long as you lived.

꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
He stood stagnant, tugging on your enclasped fingers as your gaze traveled across the occupants of the village.
Golden haze of lanterns and candles flickered across your skin, illuminating you like an angel standing beside him.
He yearned for that angel to bless him with their gaze, yet you barely glanced his way all night - for days.
Why was that?
Even before he departed for his most recent mission three weeks ago, those eyes of divinity were as if locked away.
Directing his gaze to where yours was on, he followed it. You weren't settled on anything out of the ordinary, merely the common folks of your populated village.
"The f*ck you staring at it?" He quired curiously, even if his articulation would suggest otherwise.
Those mauve eyes of his focused on your straight-lined lips as he expected an answer. Longer than he would have liked, did he await a response before you trained down to your hair and fixed the slipping robe.
"Nothing." Like soft-spoken saints, the whimsical tone of your voice infiltrated his ears. Usually, the mere sound would calm him like he was a raging wave; however, this time, all it did was fester something heavy within his chest.
You tugged on his hand, egging him to follow as you two traversed through the crowd. The spring festival coaxed many, if not all, to dwell in the sweet delight of celebrations.
His grip tightened, and he quickened his steps to be in line with yours.
Eyes scoured his figure with interest, fear, and desire. Usually, he would snap and spew threatening words, but at the moment, he was far too in his head.
He wanted to reach forward and seize your face in his coarse hands. He wanted to question you until he couldn't even create comprehensive questions anymore.
If he did, all that would come out of it was a ruined night out that you'd been excited about experiencing for months.
That was until your movement stopped, and you stood still like a carved statue—even became cold like one.
"(Y/n)..." His coarse voice articulated your name in confusion before he trained his attention where your eyes were focused.
It was on a man, a young man around their age, holding onto a child's hand while speaking to a woman next to him.
Sanemi twisted his body to face you and question more of his festering thoughts, but the scenery of your expression nearly broke him.
Your eyes, which always shined like marbles being struck by the sun, now shimmered like the moon reflecting over a pool. They were glossed over and teetering on, spilling over your bottom lids.
The smile that usually graced your lips with dazzling brilliance had scoured down like angels plunging from grace.
You looked absolutely devasted.
"Let's go." Your voice wavered, the vowels shaking as you pivoted around with your geta clogs.
The demon slayer's browbones knitted together as his teeth gritted against each other. No words could describe the way he just wanted to grab you by your hips and make you speak to him.
Tell him everything.
Just this once, he refrained, because the sight of despondency did nothing but fill his belly in cold hard dread.
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
Returning to your estate, the two of you bathed and changed into clean clothes. You were already hidden beneath the covers of your futon.
His lips still desired to question you thoroughly, but he held back - even though it ate him from the inside out.
He laid beside you, his rough hands pulling you close to his chest as he hid the other beneath your pillow. You sighed pleasantly and snuggled closer to his body.
Even though it was a slight reaction, he felt overwhelmed with joy to receive the acknowledgment as such.
The demon slayer's thoughts and concerns could wait for tomorrow. For now, he'd like to succumb to your warm bodies pressing against each, enveloped in the faint fragrance of wisteria flowers.
...
Sanemi couldn't pinpoint the moment he fell asleep, but when he did, he succumbed to its embrace hard.
When he awoke, he expected the sun to shine in through the windows, but only received the moon reflecting her glow across his half-lidded eyes.
He respired a heavy breath and closed his eyes to sleep, though when he closed his arms to hug you tight, he found himself only hugging himself.
The porcelain white-haired male sprang upwards from his sleeping position and assessed the area.
You were missing.
Never before had he flung to his feet so swiftly as if he were transported. He reached for his Nichirin Sword with such vigor that he nearly splintered the sheath.
And then he heard you sigh.
His stomach coiled, and his taut shoulders lowered slightly as he gingerly stalked over to the open door to your room.
Parting it farther, he witnessed your frame sitting at the edge of the engawa. You were kicking your feet, which barely touched the stone/grassy terrain, as you awed at the full moon.
He breathed out a sigh of relief.
"The f*ck are you doing?" He questioned while stepping closer. "Do you even realize the stress you gave me when I woke to you no longer resting with me?"
You chuckled while tightening the thin yukata shielding your frame from the night's chilly air. "I'm sorry, my love. I simply couldn't sleep, and the moon was calling to me."
Sanemi bit his tongue; if it were anyone else, he would release such snappy brash words. But with you, he would hurt himself first before letting anyone harm you come—words or not.
Listening to the whimsical howl of the wind and sharing the sight of the full moon, not one of you articulated on that sweet cold night.
Well, until the man couldn't hold back the bubbling worries filling him with trepidation.
"What's going on? You've been...distant recently." He struggled to find the words to convey his true suspicions.
It appeared as if you hadn't heard him with the way your gaze remained afront and unwavering. But then you sighed and leaned onto your hands after a moment.
"It's nothing." His left eye twitched. "Don't worry about it, love."
The demon slayer scoffed and crossed his arms over his visibly scarred chest through the half-open yukata.
"Nothing? Are you f*cking sh*tting me?" His bare feet stepped closer as the dread trembled into a rage. "Do you think I'm so impudent not to notice your change in attitude or care!?"
You bit the inside of your cheek.
"Really, it's nothing to worry about; go back to bed. I'll meet you there." Speaking in that soothing voice, he usually succumbed to your wishes. But sometimes, even those most loyal devotees question the one they worship.
His eyes evolved into that characteristic crazed expression he displayed while the grip on his sword tightened with the veins protruding against the skin.
He would never hurt you - but you were testing his patience more and more.
"I'm not as dumb as you think! You have been skirting around my questions, barely lookin' at me and acting distant! You're not getting out of this one easily!"
You rolled your eyes with a smile, gazing at him so warmly that it stirred his stomach to burn like fire. "It's not what you-"
"You've been f*ckin' around with another man, haven't you!? You ran and left the festival as soon as you came across that one man!"
Blinking sporadically, you appeared stunned by his outburst. Your brows were raised, and your lips parted before training your attention on the vibrant moon.
"Don't you trust me?"
Sanemi found himself silenced by that simple short sentence. He clasped his mouth shut and bit the inside of his cheek.
Of course, he did; he put all of his faith inside of you. Instead of returning to his own estate once completing a mission, he'd traverse through the mountains to come to you before all else.
You were the light in the darkness that guided him through a life of meaningless continuation. His will to pursue past every injury - every cold night and wicked rain, residing in your arms.
"Come here, my love. Won't you sit with me?"
The demon slayer scoffed yet found himself plopping his heavily scarred body down to sit next to your frame. He released his Nichirin Sword to settle by his thigh and crossed his burly arms beneath that toned chest he was so proud of.
Leaning over, you settled one hand on his right cheek, where a scar marked his face visibly. "My handsome demon slayer..." Your voice drove shivers to run up his spine and materialize goosebumps all over his limbs.
You hummed softly, and as the wind kissed your skin beneath the thin sleeping kimono, your lips connected to caress each other in an intimate manner.
Sanemi found himself responding eagerly. So much so that his hands reached outwards to hold around the small part of your back, hugging you closely.
Your nails dragged against his scalp and massaged the tender crown while kissing him earnestly. "Don't think-" He pressed his chest against yours as he devoured the taste of fresh fruit on your tongue. "-This will-" The fragrance of flowers and peaches infiltrated his noise from the clean scent of your body. "-Distract me."
Pulling away while licking your lips, your hands trailed down his body before resting on his scarred chest. The sensation of your tender skin dragging across the rigged markings compelled his tummy to tingle.
"Did it work?" You quired, chest rising and falling rapidly due to the breathtaking embrace of your mouths on one another.
"Not even the slightest." He answered while flicking your forehead.
Scrunching your nose and pulling away, the contact remaining was your enclasped hands held on firmly.
"Because you've been so persistent, I suppose I can indulge you in my racing thoughts. However..." You peered up at him with those eyes he adored more than anything. "Promise me you won't fall out of love...Swear that you won't think differently of me."
"You're asking a lot of me; you know that?"
"I know."
Bemoaning and rolling his mauve-hued optics, the young man gave your enclasped hands a short squeeze.
You smiled before gazing upon the moon, the trees planted against your estate walls dancing to the winds psalm.
"When I was younger, I met a man who I fell in love with-" Sanemi's grip tightened, and you could feel the vexation already radiating off his figure. You chuckled and raised his hand to kiss the back of it in a reassuring manner. "-Just listen, please."
His lips were planted firmly together as he pushed down his bitterness like dunking water lilies that desired to float upwards.
"It was a while ago, long before I met you. It felt like a fairytale with the way we became close. We never married; we weren't planning on it until I-" You cleared your throat and became silent as you peered down at your toes to wiggle them.
As if a lump were stuck in your throat, you struggled to speak or convey any more of your story. Thankfully, Sanemi remained silent and allowed you to regain your thoughts.
"U-Um, I became pregnant after a few years of living together...Everything felt like a fairytale...that morphed into a nightmare shortly after. I was close-"
Even looking at the side of your face, he could discern the shimmery trail of liquid streaming down your warm cheeks in the moon's glow.
He should have leaned down, pulled you to him, and comforted you. Yet he remained stunned at the pained sight of your teary profile.
"I was so far along, only a few months from my due date, but something was wrong. So very wrong." Your hands came together by your chest, where you held them close to your heart. "I visited a physician, hoping nothing was wrong, and I was merely overexaggerating the pain...But he broke the illusion of my happily ever after."
Teardrops tumbled upon his hand and traveled down his wrist.
"I was so far along; there was nothing I could do but carry him to full term. I was devastated; my heart shattered. I gave birth to a child without a soul, who hadn't even taken his first breath. Crying, and sobbing, every night I wept myself to sleep in the cold sheets of my home...alone."
Sanemi could feel his stomach coiling in a similar pain but not quite the same as your suffering. The pain of losing his mother to the demonic curse, and the pain of losing his younger brother to injuries acquired in battle.
It may not have been the same, but that didn't mean he would denounce or diminish the despair you've gone through. Truthfully, if he could, he'd take away all your pain and keep it to himself if it meant shielding you from the misery.
"After my miscarriage, he spent most of his time out at night. Returning early mornings, he slept until work and was once again gone. I was alone...all alone to soothe and comfort myself. One night, I caught him myself out in the village; he was with another woman. He wasn't as faithful as he promised; he wasn't loyal as he perceived."
The air grew chillier, freezing the blood in his veins, yet his stomach warmed with fury. It grew as if someone were fanning it to life, yet it shrank once you tugged on his hand.
He glanced downwards and witnessed that dazzling smile again, surrounded by drying tears of anguish.
"I confronted him and showed him the evidence. He attempted to sway my anger, and even guilt trip me to allow this woman to live in our home because...because she was pregnant with his child."
"I hope you didn't allow this sh*t bag to get what he wanted." Sanemi finally found his voice which prompted you to chuckle and sniffle.
You kissed the back of his fingers, which dried with your tears, leaving behind a slight print. With his free hand, he rose to hold the right side of your face tenderly and intimately.
Leaning into it, you shielded your eyes as if resting but continued on with your anecdote.
"I had suffered too long, for months, and that request was the last nerve that needed to be struck before I came to my senses. I left him and moved into the larger village where my grandmother offered to house me. I had no idea that she housed demon slayers until...well, until you were the first to show up."
Gingerly, you parted your glossy eyes and smiled at him so sweetly. Only you could make him feel like a body lacking bones at your touch with the way you made him feel so soft.
"So now you know." You sniffled and removed yourself from his warm embrace to swipe at the tears. "I know I should have told you sooner, but this was something I wanted to keep to myself. It's my struggle. I just didn't want you to think differently of me."
"I could never. (Y/n), you're my angel." His voice had never been so low and benevolent. The abrasive, hot-blooded, rash, and a stubborn young man would only ever speak to you like this.
The person he loves with every fiber within his body, whom he would only ever hold his tongue for.
"I can...understand why you fled when you saw that f*cker, but why had you been acting so distant?" He found himself questioning his thoughts now that the path for conversation was opened.
Reaching for one of his scarred hands, you brought them close to your face where you kissed each individual slender jointed extremity before holding his palm to your face.
"It's nothing, really."
"(Y/n)."
You clicked your tongue before settling his hands on your clothed tummy. "The baby fever has been so high recently; I find myself lost in thought and yearning to be the mother I could have been..."
Sanemi longed to give you the world, to provide you with everything you've ever wanted. Although young, and constantly thrusting himself into danger, he never thought far enough of what to do once the demons were rid of the land.
He always believed Genya would be the one to marry, settle down and have his own family. But that idea was crushed with the passing of his younger brother.
In no way did the demon slayer think he would possibly be the one to lead that life. Only now did he begin to consider it might be feasible.
"Let's do it."
You flung your gaze up at his unwavering voice. "H-Huh."
He formed a coy grin as he reached for your waist, tugging you closer with the proximity of your body, erupting heat in your bellies. "Let's make your belly swollen with our child this time."
Heat emanated from your face; he could feel it against his as he observed you with those pale purple-mauve eyes of his.
"Oh, Sanemi..." The way you expressed his name drove his browbones to furrow and lips to scowl harshly. "I-I'd love to...but I can't."
He released your figure to spring to his feet; his Nichirin Sword enclasped by his fingers in such a firm hold. "Why not! Why not with me!?"
"Sanemi-"
"No!" He interjected. "Is it because I'm not him!? Is it because you only want his child-"
Your hands sprung forward and grasped his face to still his wrathful figure. He was quivering with rage, the veins on his skin twitching and his eyes resuming their usually crazed expression.
Focusing his attention on your face, you bore your fingertips into his skin with a rather annoyed look.
"You're too impulsive!" You reprimanded before squeezing his cheeks. "It's not what you think, dummy! Of course, I want to have your baby!"
"Then why not!" He whined like a child begging for more sweets.
"Because-" Your bottom quivered as the pool of shimmering liquid returned to gloss over your (e/c) eyes. "-Because I'm broken, Sanemi! My womb is too weak, too fragile. The doctor informed me that I might never be able to carry another baby to term again."
The guilt weighed down like lead within his stomach. Once again, his rash and impulsive behavior resulted in a confrontation he'd rather live without.
He was the one who brought you to tears, and he was the one spurring your voice to crack in agony.
"I've yearned for so long to have your child, to be swollen with your next of kin, but I am so scared. I cannot handle another loss, my love. And if you were to leave me because of it, I'll be so devastated-"
This time it was the porcelain-haired male to grasp your face and pull you against his warm frame, where he captured your lips and gave you an eagerly ravenous kiss.
You were hesitant at first, but once he started to reach down and drag his hands across your bottom, you relaxed.
He reached downwards to grasp your thighs and raise you upwards so your legs would wrap around his waist.
His grip on the limbs tightened as he angled his head so the kiss could deepen. You still smelled of him, that earthy cold scent that surrounded you like a bubble.
He could taste the ripe fruit you had been consuming at the festival as he sucked on your tongue.
Breathless groans and teasingly quiet moans reverberated from your chest, and it only drove him to desire more of you.
Leading the two of you back to your bedroom, where he was cautious of how he placed your back against the shared futon.
The demon slayer pulled away only to press his forehead against yours and attempt to calm his raging heart, beating to the speed of a train.
"I'll never leave you." His rough, coarse hands from years of fighting dragged along your clothed tummy before reaching for your face to squash your cheeks. "No matter what, nothing will ever drive me away from you. You'll never lose me."
He kissed your nose before smothering you in another kiss with his hands reaching for the bow of your yukata and eagerly untying it.
"I'll do everything; I'll give you everything. I'm gonna take care of you so well; it'll be like you're a damn princess." Your body was revealed to him through the open nightwear, and he dived down.
You inhaled sharply, a divot forming in your spine as you writhed from your oversensitivity. His tongue tenderly licked along your neck before clamping down and creating dark-colored contusions.
Your lover's tongue dragged along your chest, tasting the sweet yet salty taste of your sweat across every inch of your skin before reaching your breast.
"I'll give you the best of the best." His gaze met your glossy, shiny-hued eyes. "Better than that f*cker ever did for you."
Toying with the knot for his yukata, your thighs rubbed against each other for friction. "You can't know the future of what'll happen. It's up to faith." You breathed, which only resulted in a scoff from the man above you.
"F*ck faith." He snapped as his body became bare for you to see. "I'm giving you that baby you've longed for, and we'll be a happy f*cking family. Our kid is gonna survive everything the damn world throws at 'em."
"Promise?"
He leaned down to kiss you so desperately.
"Do I ever break them?"
Smiling into the kiss, his hands caressed every inch of flesh he memorized like a map of the land. He grazed over areas he knew you were particularly sensitive to and squeezed on others that fit so well in the palm of his coarse hands.
Your breath would hitch or exhale shakily as the anticipation grew to like the stars filling the night sky as the sun lowered.
His fingers grazed down to the space between your legs, caressing folds slickened in arousal from his intimate touches.
He was the follower, yet you sang to him like he was your god who assembled those tingling sensations within your tummy, around your womb.
Sanemi wasn't even the one being pleasured, yet his length throbbed and pulsated as if close to his own release.
Your pleasure was his.
Your nailed raiked through his spiky, short, porcelain-white hair, tugging, yanking, and tangling as your hips rolled to meet every movement of his fingers.
There was nothing more he wanted to do than to make your moans and mewls a never-ending track.
The demon slayer couldn't get enough of your reaction as he drove you closer to your end, gripping onto him like he was your greatest desire you were too afraid to let go of.
His name that fell out of your mouth drove him into an almost primal state, making him mad with lust and passion. More and more, he wanted more; he wanted to give you more.
He could practically reach his own high when he brought you to your climax. The sight before him was a painting that was priceless.
Yet not even the greatest artist could put together the image of your sweat-coated body writhing beneath him. They could never draw the same image of your eyes squeezed shut, tears falling from them with your lips parted.
Nor could they reciprocate the way your thighs pressed along his wrist and your ankles crossed each other.
And even though you lay there, respiring deeply with an arm over your eyes to calm your raging heart and throbbing bundle of nerves, he continued on.
This time with his mouth.
He grasped your hips so eagerly and lifted them upwards so his mouth could clasp around your most feminine area.
You had never cried out so loudly, so desperately.
Your thighs clutched around his head so firmly you thought you could crush 'em like a mere watermelon.
With your hands in his hair, you attempted to push him away from the overwhelming stimulation. The pleasure was still so raw from the first time that you couldn't handle the immediate onslaught of the second course of delight.
Sanemi only gripped tighter, humming with enjoyment as he savored the taste of your climax.
His fingers aided his mouth in his desire to express his longing for you. The other hand gripped onto a thigh as if attempting to mold the two of you together.
Bruises formed underneath his fingertips, decorating your skin with markings of his unhinged eros. His hair was being pulled and tugged as his name rasped from your throat.
On and on, he continued until, eventually, your throat became so dry and parched. You wheezed and huffed, barely focusing on anything other than your overheating body.
How many climaxes did he bring out of you? You don't remember.
Sanemi desired to give you a baby, but you don't know how you can handle any more of him.
Of him inside and conjoined in the most intimate manner.
"What position do you think is the best to make a baby?" He rasped close to your ear while caressing your waist.
At first, his words didn't register in your head as you focused on regaining your breath. But when he grasped the back of your knees and forced them to touch the futon, you drooled in anticipation.
"Like this?" He asked, teasingly grinding his hardened length along your abused slits that were so sloppy wet.
You pleaded for him, pleaded so desperately you emanated so much heat. Your mind was already hazy from everything he had done before, but you were nowhere near finished until the both of you knew you would be swollen with his baby soon.
He guided himself inside, the tip stretching you already before being deathly filled with the thicker, longer parts of his length.
Once again, your breath was stolen from the depths of your lungs. You were left with your lips parted and (e/c) eyes rolling back into your head, dazed.
"My angel, you look so corrupted~." He breathed while he ground inwards, refusing to pull out but merely grazing his vein-covered length across your sensorial nerves, both deep and shallow.
He knew it the moment you were overwhelmed by the size and girth stretching you so well. The man was sure your ex-partner never had you this stupefied by just spearing you on their length.
At the moment, the intimacy shared by both of you was different than usual. When he'd been gone for so long, the desperation, the hunger, and longing drove him to a feral state where he f*cked to get all his frustration out.
And then there were the times he agreed to take it slow, to take his time and allow for the scent of each other's body to envelop the two of you. He rests within you, and your lips would be nowhere else but his as your hands groped and explored.
But this...this was a mix of both. A breeding mix, per see, where the intense lust and primal desire blend with the intimate caressing.
Once he began moving, you were the angel calling out to the deity over and over again. Curses and groans, moans and mewls, they were shared in desperation.
He drove you to be barely able to speak, quivering from his powerful strokes that sent jolts of delight all through your body.
Sanemi mixed praises with degrading, honoring you for feeling so good while also mocking you for how much of a mess he could easily make of you.
A blessing and curse, you couldn't even think straight. You were stuck in a haze of eros that had the tips of your fingers and toes tingling.
It wasn't long until you spasmed, body flushing in ecstasy as your little bundle of nerves - so engorged - pulsated as you met your release.
Even then, he praised you for how pretty you looked and how you could barely keep your eyes open. But he also mocked you for how easily you came undone, how he didn't have to do much, and you clenched and squirmed.
He was covered in the remnants of your pleasure; his pubic area drenched in liquids of arousal and release that also trickled down your bottom.
Finally, you could feel him tensing and the speed of his toned hips increasing. The demon slayer pushed your legs farther apart, pressing them harder into the futon as his climax surged through the base.
The first release was like nothing else; it was an indescribable sensation that you could barely explain. It was thick, hearty spurts gushing into you, pressing through your cervix to fill your womb so delightfully.
Bellowing to whatever higher being was up there, the warmth brought about by it drove you to another org*sm.
How many was that? Three...Four...?
You held the demon slayer's face in the palms of your hands as you kissed again in a frenzied manner. Your sweaty chest rubbed against one another, with your hardened buds grinding against his pecks with every bounce of his thrust.
I love you—and I love you so much—was repeated from your mouth like a broken record. Just saying it didn't feel like enough. No matter how many times you sounded it, you wanted to express it more.
The hardness never diminished as he continued to roll and rock himself, building up another org*sm that would rattle through his bones like before.
With every thrust, his creamy thick emission leaked and dribbled down your legs, staining the futon beneath.
The man above you had your insides fluttering. Butterflies must have been dancing inside your tummy as his pelvis met yours.
Pleads and cries for more seemed to be the only thing you could say. Even though he was already so deep, kissing your body intimately, you wanted more like you wanted to be a part of him ultimately.
By the end of the night, you don't remember how many times the two of you shared a release. However, both of you could agree you are sure as hell pregnant after that.
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
You were sure as hell pregnant after that.
At first, you were overjoyed; then, the dread settled in with you, distressed regarding the pregnancy. Sanemi attempted his best to coax you out of your depressive episodes when you believed the same metiers would occur again.
Sanemi, the most abrasive and brash man you had ever known, had been the sweetest throughout your trimesters. Your needs were put above his, and he focused on aiding the stress pregnancy brought along.
The first trimester went smoothly, not accounting for the morning sickness and vertigo. Your second was even easier, the most troubling aspect being that of your baby pressing into your bladder.
However, once you had reached your third trimester, your baby wasn't as active as it usually was. You visited the physician, but their examination showcased that everything was sufficient.
You just needed to rest and take every day one step at a time. Now that was easier said than done because your angy handsome lover was sent on a mission far from your village.
Sanemi nearly killed the crow who delivered his orders to him. You could tell he struggled to keep himself from retiring right then and there, but he had a mission to destroy them all before he could ever relax.
For once, you had heard Sanemi ask (demand) for assistance from the two only female Hashira's. The demon slayers were eager to meet the woman who had enough to put up with the brash man.
He left you reluctantly, but it allowed you to feel somewhat safe under the gaze of two powerful women who could protect you against almost anything.
The three of you became close, on friendly terms as they kept up with your health. However, the closer your due date approached, the sicker you became, and the longer Sanemi was away.
Shinobu and Mitsuri did everything to the best of their ability to help you, but there wasn't much they could do when your water broke.
There still was no word of Sanemi at all, and this only drove your belly to ache terribly. You did everything in your power to hold back, to wait longer for him to arrive.
But the ache grew too great, and the female Hashira's couldn't bear to witness you on your hands and knees, sobbing from the contractions.
The insect pillar wouldn't allow for you to suffer in that pain any longer. To hell, if Sanemi Shinazugawa wasn't here, she was helping you birth this baby regardless.
You squeezed onto the love Hashira's hands so tightly she believed you would break them, but she held back her own whimpers of pain. She knew yours were greater than hers.
In that sweet tone of hers, Shinobu coaxed you through it and aided so sweetly in the delivery. Through tears, through howls of pain, you can't even remember how much time had passed, but they felt so long.
And just as your child - you and Sanemi's baby came forth - The love of your life barged the doors with such frantic movements he nearly tumbled and tripped over his own feet.
The sound of the newborn pierced through all the commotion, and you broke down into tears at finally hearing the life of your progeny.
Sanemi's steps were slow, as if he were in disbelief at the child being cleaned in front of him. Once the insect Hashira settled the sniffing newborn in his arms, everyone witnessed tears glossing over his eyes, and then trailing down his cheeks.
"My angel...you blessed me with another angel. Thank you."

His teeth bit into his tattooed clasped fingers with golden eyes burning holes into your figure. The thin row of brow hairs on his forehead was furrowed as he pondered intensely.
It felt as though an invisible force were pounding upon his head, yielding a throbbing headache that drove him to desire steady land for once.
Myriad's of deliberations and prospects inked out on a whiteboard in his mind whilst the weight of the situation established its place on his shoulders.
You were pregnant... and you didn't even know it.
It was obvious to the medical specialist, he knew the transformations of an individual's body and depicted via all the symptoms you were starting to exhibit.
Although there was not much difference in the size of your abdomen, you were starting to biennial distinctions in your appearance.
Shadowed under circles marking its place beneath your (e/c) eyes, permitting the heart crew to see your signs of insomnia.
Late at night, the pirate captain could hear you rummaging around in the kitchen, foraging for anything that makes your belly full and assists in welcoming deep slumber.
You were often the first one seen early in the morning tending to your duties. Most of the Heart Pirates assumed you were an early riser, not aware of the fact that you had not even rested in your bed.
In addition, you were starting to become sensitive to odors and have an aversion to delicacies you once enjoyed.
Meals were usually prepared by whoever felt like cooking until you had come aboard the Polar Tang. Annoyed with the inconsistencies of meal preparation you bitterly took over the duties as the chef.
You were diligent as a cook and never allowed anyone to miss a meal. For one, you were not going to cook meals for the crew, only for them not to eat it, you won't let your time and work be wasted. And two, if the crew were not properly nourished, they would fail in their assignments and bring shame to the Hearts Pirate.
The rendition of your cooking had become consistent and was normalized quickly. Only recently had you relinquished your position as the Heart Pirate's cook and distanced yourself from both the kitchen and the bar.
Accounting for those situations, you also became visibly ill. You began to wheeze out throaty abrasive coughs, the kind that made a tickle erupt in the back of your throat just by hearing it.
Your nose appeared stuffy, sniffling every few seconds, and you needed to blow it frequently. There were even times when you had a nosebleed that lasted far longer than it should have.
Furthermore, there were changes to your attitude. Unlike most of the Heart Pirates who were rather chill or vibrant, you were more aloof and reserved.
You didn't speak unless necessary, remained distant from the crew, withdrawn from everyone socially, and persisted in being rather supercilious.
However, recently, there was a noticeable shift in your character. You angered quickly, snapping on usually Clione and then turning around the next second only to deflate in Ikkaku's arm and ask what is the meaning of life.
There were small moments when the captain caught you weeping over a particularly soppy book and moping heavily after the series concluded.
You tended to act almost robotically and coldly to the Heart Pirates before, but now, prominent actions are beginning to make you appear more human.
Lastly, such a prominent symptom of your pregnancy was your nausea. Law would catch you gripping onto something securely, swaying about as you either appeared dazed or sick.
He could see your jaw clench, hear your teeth grinding as you attempted to collect yourself and keep the contents of your stomach where they should abide.
Sometimes you would lose that battle, however, and be stationed in the bathroom for hours. Thankful for the seal-tight rooms, passerbys didn't need to hear the nauseating retching unless they placed their ears upon the metal doors.
Law couldn't help but chastise himself; it was his fault for doing this to you. A diligent crewmate and a strong warrior, you were, but you now remained almost bedridden.
That night in his room should have never transpired, he shouldn't have given in to his desires so easily. He was a strong-willed man, albeit sadistic in nature, but he understood when there are some things you should not do.
But alcohol coursed through his blood, his body warm and mind distorted. Celebrating a win against the Marines always warranted some drinks passing around, and he was always mindful of his intake.
However, that night he consumed more than he should have and knew his judgment was clouded, so in response, he headed for his bedroom.
He readied himself for a shower, stripped of his top and hat, and had his hands ready to remove his bottom, when a knock at the door startled him.
Opening it, he remembered the shock of finding your figure standing in front of his door with hands hanging slackly by your side.
Your (e/c) optics seemed glassy and your lips were swollen. Your expression appeared dazed and you very undoubtedly displayed signs of being heavily intoxicated.
You didn't wait for him to let you in, you just entered and slammed the door behind you. At that moment you had let yourself drop your hard exterior and confined in the captain about your emotions.
Bottling up all your anger, grief, pain, and all others, the tears had run fast like shooting stars and your vulnerability had clearly shown.
And then as you stood before him weeping about your frays, you pleaded for support. When he didn't reply you began to remove your clothing, allowing for yourself to be bare in his presence.
Law knew he should have looked away, ordered for yourself to dress again and leave his sight at once but Law... Law was a weak man for a beautiful and strong woman.
Your judgment was clouded and so was his own. He wasn't sure that consent could have been made when the two of you could barely even stand correctly.
But none of that mattered when he fell into his lustful desires and used your body as if he owned it.
His lips were on yours in mere seconds, melting in your warm touch and already losing himself to the thought of ravishing your body.
Law's hands grasped your thighs, carrying you over to his bed and laying your nude back against his sheets.
Bare chest pressed against bare chest as you pulled him to you as if attempting to mold your bodies together.
Your hands ran through his hair, tugging on it when his fingers would ghost against your lower regions. His hot breath fanned against your skin as he traveled down from your face to your breast, from your stomach, before finally reaching the space in between your legs.
Only incoherent mumblings and occasionally his slurred name left your swollen lips and echoed in his bedroom.
Your grip never once left his ebony-hued locks, forming a firm hold that you tugged and jerked as he stimulated you intensely.
His tattooed hands held onto the bottom of your thighs, holding them against his head and cherishing the pressure of your squeezing limbs against his body.
The captain's belly was once full of cold liquor but now he felt as if it was nothing but an empty sac. His bibulous mouth devoured you greatly, drinking in your arousal and lapping up your climax.
He would have continued to consume your essence and quench his thirst for your taste that he couldn't get enough, but your pleas for him to be inside of you were driving his deluded self mad.
How could he let this beautiful soul beneath him continue to beg and cry for him in such an assertive manner?
Law was weaker-willed than he thought.
His pants and shoes were soon removed, his entire tattooed body on display as he returned to his place above you.
Your legs wrapped around his muscular hips, egging him on to enter inside. And he couldn't wait any longer.
He helped guide himself inside and felt the stretch of your body taking him in. Every inch was being greedily devoured until he reached the deepest part and even then you were begging for more of him.
That drunken night on the Polar Tang was the start of it all. He should have controlled himself but in his intemperate haze, he let himself fall victim to your own intoxicated wishes.
You wanted hard, you wanted deep, and he rolled himself so far inside he pressed against the entrance to your womb.
His name was the only thing you could think, moaning it like a siren's song and entrapping the captain in a lustrous stupor.
Every inch of your body he had touched, either grazing it with his fingertips or kissing it with his warm lips.
Sweaty bodies rubbed and stroked against each other almost erratically, the pounding of his hips and the scratching of your nails were a mix of hidden attraction and intimate longing.
Law would be a liar if he denied ever having a physical attraction for you, and a bit of interest from your hidden personality.
The state of having you so vulnerable, reacting to him so humanely, and praising him for being so good had removed the last bit of rationality in his head.
One climax was not enough, no. He made it a multitude of ecstasy coursing through your veins and releasing along with one another.
He should have at least pulled out, allowed himself to decorate your skin with remnants of himself, but he just couldn't.
Law could blame it on how you clasped your ankles around his back, forcing him to stay inside no matter what. Or on how you pleaded for him to release inside and to make you feel something.
Letting himself spray inside should have been enough but like waves crashing higher and higher on a shore, it wasn't. He couldn't even remember how many times he had emptied himself.
By the time both of you had finished, you had met the darkness of slumber and remained sleeping peacefully beneath him.
With falling from his high, now the surgeon of death was sober enough to clean your bodies free of any indication of what just occurred.
He helped dress your slumped figures and carried you to your room where he tucked you into bed.
In the morning, Law expected you to confront him about the night prior, but to his surprise, you appeared unaware of what had happened.
The man hadn't left any contusions or marks on your body and had cleaned you of any liquids. It was enough to counter any thoughts of intercourse.
You went about your day like any other and when you looked at him it was with a look of respect and admiration.
It wasn't a look as if the man hadn't just had you submitting beneath him, breaking the skin of his back with your nails and pleading for him to touch you.
Law knew he should have informed you that day about what transpired the night before but even he was afraid of your reaction.
He didn't want it to seem as if he took advantage or forced himself on you. If you didn't remember then he was sh*t out of luck.
So instead of notifying you, he stayed quiet, and now that he held his tongue he finds himself in a predicament.
Soon you were going to have to realize you were pregnant and be absolutely flabbergasted by it when you have no recollection of sleeping with anyone.
In your stomach would be where your and Law's child is growing.
And he's been contemplating that thought ever since he noticed the changes in your body. Law was a grown man who, without a doubt, had to take responsibility.
But with you being pregnant at sea was dangerous and the fact that you were lustful for trouble worried him.
A child at sea would be a liability, a weakness that could be used against him. They interacted with danger every day and confronted fights head-on.
The safety of a child wouldn't be guaranteed, and any day you or Law or anyone of the Heart Pirates could lose their life.
Remembering how he felt when he lost his family to the extermination crew, how devastated he was, and became mentally and morally ruined.
The thought of doing that to his own flesh and blood was... unnerving.
And to add to his thoughts, he didn't believe he, nor you, were even ready for a child. The two of you may be adults with some years to your time, but it still felt as if he weren't prepared one bit.
There was still so much to do, so much to see, and the responsibility of a child seemed all the more daunting.
Heaving a heavy sigh, the surgeon of death stood from his seat in the library and exited the room. The headache grew worse and his never-ending deliberations added to his stress.
What to do, what to do? Law didn't know and he cared too much to contemplate the future in his state of mind.
Man oh man did he need a drink.
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
"(Y/n)-ya."
Your gaze shifted from the window to your captain, whose figure neared your frame. "Captain." You greeted, sniffling slightly, before standing to your feet, only to wobble from a sudden wave of dizziness.
The man was quick to reach your frame, his hands grasping your hips as your own fell upon his toned biceps.
Groaning aloud, you swallowed strenuously and shook your head narrowly. You inhaled audibly and once the dizziness had passed you were quick to remove his grasp from your hips.
"My apologies, Captain. I've just been a little sick for a while."
His stomach felt as if he swallowed a stone with the way he discerned it to be heavy as lead. He pursed his lips, concealing his hands in his blue jeans.
"I noticed," he stated, his molten golden gaze on anything but your frame. Come with me. I'll give you your diagnosis in my office."
"Yes, of course, Captain," you replied without hesitation. Your loyalty lies with the strong, and you've encountered many strong men.
But Captain Law was an anomaly to you. He was powerful, one of the strongest Worst Generation Supernova's however there lied those even stronger than him.
Regardless of that, there was just something about his mentality that attracted you to him. Calculated cool, he appeared level-headed at first. Deep down, he was rather compassionate for his people and those he cared about.
The fact that everyone on his ship meant something to him sealed the deal.
Law guided your sluggish figure from the library to his office, where he waved a hand to the examination bed.
His gaze remained on his equipment as he prodded your body, and sampled your blood for testing. All while he performed his action with precise and clean movements, his brows were furrowed with a clear indication of distress.
The captain's expression was unnerving and it drove your hands to become clammy. Your stomach churned from the sterile odor of his office, the diminutive amount of food in your system felt as if it wanted to purge from your body, but you swallowed down the queasiness.
When the tattooed man stepped back into the room, you noticed his jaw was clenching and a vein on his neck was throbbing.
"Do you remember the party that Penguin planned after the win against the marines a few months ago?" He quired in a low but shaky voice.
You raised an eyebrow, your lips puckering as you shook your head. "Not much, Captain. Shachi got me really drunk and he must have put me to bed since I woke up in my room." You replied while crossing your arms under your chest.
Law inhaled deeply before swallowing thickly. "Well, you see-" He wheezed and scratched at his ebony-hued hair below his thick-billed hat.
He struggled to get the words out and his reluctance made the uneasiness grow. "You know what I'm just going to say it. That night we both were really drunk and we f*cked. I thought you would remember but I guess the liquor genuinely disarrayed with your memories."
Your mouth hung agape from his words as you attempted to make sense of his words. You endeavored to put the piece together, memories, but they only struck you like flashes of images that pushed your head to throb.
Embarrassment and mortification were coursing your veins. That night you had thrown yourself to him in a weakened state and acted like a harlot.
"Why are you..." The words clung to the inside of your throat. "...telling me this?"
He shifted his molten golden gaze away from yours and obscured his tattooed hands in the pocket of his blue jeans.
"The reason you've been sick and not getting any better is because...you're pregnant."
Your (e/c) optics widened, your crossed arms unfolding as you puffed out a laugh of disbelief. "Captain don't joke with me!" You blubbered and slowly stood to your feet. "If I've done something wrong, you can tell me, not pull this sick joke-"
The surgeon of death finally turned his gaze to meet yours and shook his head. "I wouldn't joke about something serious like this. You're pregnant with my child because of that night."
You felt like crying, the news overwhelming. So many emotions bombarded your system as you began to hyperventilate.
"(Y/n)-ya, I-" He never had the chance to finish his sentence as your fist came flying forward and connected with his face sharply.
He was barely able to let out a gasp whilst his back connected with his desk. The force left him dazed, his thoughts and deliberations jumbled.
Blood dribbled from his broken nose, already beginning to bruise and discolor. His hat flew off and landed in front of your feet.
The inner corner of your eyes burned as the conjunctiva glazed over with salty tears. You couldn't bear to be in his presence anymore, so you pivoted on the balls of your feet and stomped away to your room.
Law could be heard tripping over his own feet as he scrambled after you. "Wait, listen (Y/n)-ya but-"
"No!" You interjected and increased your speed. You felt so ashamed for acting the way you did, and it made sense why it felt like the Captain was more distant from you than before.
You've tainted your image and now left yourself incapacitated carrying his child in your womb.
Not only that, but he kept silent about what transpired that night, leaving you in the dark to question why everything ached until now.
He was scared of how you would react and he should be. Why did he stay silent!? Was he shaming you every time your back was turned?
The embarrassment morphed into a fury that coursed through your blood and enraged every nerve.
Your captain grasped your wrist, which only prompted your hand to snap forward and slap him across the face.
It's force yielding his hold to release enough for you to scamper ahead and enter your private chamber.
You sealed it immediately and slid it down the cool surface.
"I understand how you are feeling about this, but we need to discuss some things," Law stated from the other side, but you stayed silent, untrusting of your own voice.
Not one of you said anything as dread filled the air and situated its weight on both of your shoulders.
He sighed audibly and knocked lightly on your door. "I know you don't want to talk so can you just hear me out?"
You didn't reply again, letting the silence answer for you.
"Okay." He mumbled and lowered himself so he also sat against your sealed door. "I just want to say...don't blame yourself. It was all my fault, I shouldn't have given in to my desires but I'm a weak man for you. We both were drunk, but I was the soberer one out of the both of us."
You sniffed on the other end, concealing your face in the space between your bent legs.
"I-" He huffed and groaned aloud. Law struggled to speak and convey his emotions properly as well as give you a suitable response.
"I was afraid to tell you the next day. I thought you would assume that I took advantage of you and I guess in a way I did...In no way do I think any differently of you, I think of you and your efforts highly, and your presence on the Polar Tang has been...captivating."
You could hear him shuffling on the other end as he stood to his feet. "Listen, I respect you. I know that staying silent about that night doesn't imply it, but I do. I'm going to leave you alone until you're ready to talk. Even if all you want to do is yell at me."
The captain patted your door lightly as you listened to his footsteps fading.
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
You didn't speak to him for weeks, you couldn't bear to look at him in the face. Even with his words, you still felt shame and humiliation.
Not only that, but it was taking time to accept that your body was no longer just yours. You now shared it with a little helpless creature.
The thought made your stomach churn. You were reckless, a magnet for danger and fights. You thrived off of every strike you would make and relished in your victories.
Harsh movements and impetuousness could lead to problems with yourself and the baby, Law informed you that he believed you were going to have a fragile pregnancy through the door, but you still didn't reply.
He did his best to support you as much as he could. He made you food that was easy on your tummy and prescribed you medicine and vitamins to take.
Every morning, he checked up on you through the door. All he requested was a knock so he knew you were okay.
The captain patiently waited until you were ready to speak with him, never making it seem as if he was rushing you.
You had wondered if he really cared about you or was it all about his child?
It was always hard to believe if people were there for you, it was so easy to be fake and deceitful.
Before the Captain would retire to his bedroom he would once again check in on you and ask if there was anything you needed.
Obviously, he already was well aware of your insomnia so he always set a hot sweet drink out for you with some pastry. Sometimes he would even rest against your door and ask for a knock if you would like to hear a story.
At first, they were myths and tales from all across the blue sea. Eventually, they began to slowly shift into stories of his childhood.
He was vague at first, but decided it wasn't worth keeping out any details, he wanted you to know it all.
Ultimately it was time to stop at the nearest island to stock up on supplies. Without you executing your duties as the chef, it led to inconsistency in the food, as some of the heart pirates wasted ingredients in their attempt to cook.
The crew was running low on other stores and wares so it was a much-needed respite. Law informed you of the Heart Pirates' plan to restock and made sure to leave you some vitamins before departing.
It was stuffy, staring at the same bland walls over and over again, so you decided to leave the Polar Tang for some fresh air.
Your tummy had begun to grow now and visibly pooched outwards. You hid it beneath an oversized (f/c) sweatshirt, the Heart Pirates Jolly Roger hidden inside the hood of the top.
When you finally exited the submarine, the reinvigorated air was greedily devoured by your lungs. The island was moderately big, the city by the sea full of malls and attractions.
You needed to shop for new attire; the ones you owned just didn't fit as they used to since you had healthily gained weight to support the growing baby.
It felt all too surreal shopping, trying on apparel that needed to cover your stomach. You would have never seen yourself in this situation, pregnancy seemed like a point that you would never plot on.
Traveling back to the Polar Tang, you considered how you needed to stop hiding from Law and finally talk to him.
Whoever's fault it was it's whatever now, it doesn't matter anymore. The two of you needed to have a discussion before it was too late.
"Hey, give that back!"
Your gaze unconsciously shifted to a bout of clamorous noise. Three children argued with a couple of adults who taunted them with a coin bag.
You pursed your lips at the sight, it wasn't anything new. With the economy the way it existed everyone fought tooth and nail for something.
Turning away to trek back to the submarine, you continued down the street until you heard the children cry out and gasp.
Your gaze flung back only to see one of the men with his foot pressing into the oldest kid's face on the stony path.
The tears, the fear, all of it was like a memory replaying back over.
"Hey. Hey!"
You rushed forward and pressed your right foot firmly into the ground, your other leg flying into the adult's neck.
He tumbled to the ground, eyes revealing the whites as he lay unconscious. The two other children - little blond twins - picked up the older blond and hid behind your frame.
The other adult stepped back with hands in the air as he awkwardly laughed aloud. "Come on, pretty lady. We mean no harm." Your eyes narrowed at the epithet. "These little brats stole from us is all."
You glanced down at the children who aggressively shook their heads no and sniffled.
"Welp, that's the answer." You declared and removed the whip from its strap on your back underneath the sweatshirt.
Before the man could speak, you flicked your wrist and its sharpened leather strings snapped across his face, immediately striking the man unconscious as well.
Blowing air out of your nose like an animal, you placed the whip back under your shirt. "Small fry," you mumbled, and began your descent back to the submarine.
However, a tug on your top stopped you. Glancing down, the little girl waved her hand for you to lean down, and so you did.
Once your face was in front of hers, she kissed your nose and patted your cheeks. "Thank you!" She and her siblings cheered before fleeing the area, and returned home, you assumed.
Your skin felt warm where she kissed, and for once you found a little brat not as annoying as usual.
"(Y/n)-ya!"
You flinched from that voice as footsteps neared your frame. Law and Ikkaku appeared, and the man observed your frame as if he were inspecting it for any injuries.
He appeared relieved until he glimpsed down at the two thugs, and you noticed his jaw was clenched. "What are you doing fighting!? You know you have a fragile pregnancy and even if you didn't it's not safe!"
You recoiled back from his outburst and crossed your arms under your chest. "Captain, I'm fine. I can handle myself, they were nothing."
"So!?" He sought and grasped your shoulder firmly. "What if they weren't!? What if you miscalculated!? This is why I said you need to stay in the Polar Tang!"
His tone was aggressive; you knew it was because he cared about the baby, but you weren't a minor who needed to be reprimanded.
"Well, I didn't!" You snapped. "And I'm not some child that you can tell what to do. It's not fair that I have to be treated like a burden. I'm my own woman and before I am anything else I am also a pirate!"
Law was taken aback by your statement. His molten golden eyes widened as you shook your head and slapped his hand off your body.
"I never wanted to be a mother in the first place, so don't berate me like I intentionally wanted to get hurt. You only care because it's your baby, I have, but this is also my body, and whatever I say should go."
His mouth widened to speak, but you were already speeding away, which was rather swift for a pregnant woman, too.
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
There seemed to be a rift between the two of you now. He no longer checked up on you anymore and sent for one of the crewmates to ask or deliver your medicine.
Law no longer spent his nights telling you stories and it was beginning to feel...lonely. You never felt that before but that was before you were receiving his undivided attention.
Maybe some of the things you said were out of line, but were you speaking the truth? Law only cares about his child, which is why he was worried about you, right?
You knew that there was no relationship between the two of you other than just captain and crewmate, but it still stung the slightest.
This is why you never let anyone get close. One day they'll all just leave. One day they'll realize you aren't worth it.
You'd rather shut yourself out to save yourself the heartache than go through the rawness of losing someone you let in again.
A knock at the door disrupted you from your melancholic thoughts. "(Y/n), I brought you some lunch. The captain said you should be able to ingest much heavier food now." The only other woman on the Polar Tang called out.
You scowled at the mention of the captain and shifted to face the wall. "I'm not hungry." You told her.
She exhaled aloud and knocked again. "It doesn't matter if you're not hungry; you need to eat. Skipping meals is unhealthy; you're the one who told us that every mealtime."
"I don't care."
The woman groaned and clicked her tongue. "I know you're still upset about what the captain said on the island, but it was because he cares."
Inhaling deeply, you pushed yourself up to your swollen ankles and unsealed your door to face the woman.
"He cares about the child. I'm just the f*cking baby incubator."
The curly, dark-haired woman shook her head and entered your room with the tray holding your dinner. "I love being the one to tell you that you're wrong," she replied as you shut your door again.
You raised an eyebrow as she set the tray on your desk and took a seat on your chair. "He likes to ask about you." She stated, her tone less brash. "He wants to know everything about you. You're favorite books, color, even a favorite flavor of candy so he can make your medicine less bitter."
Your lips pursed curtly as you refrained from speaking and set yourself on your bed in the corner.
"The captain invariably appears anxious when he's away from you and always eager to meet you here and talk to you through the door."
Staying silent, you hugged a pillow to your chest and kept your gaze down on the floor.
"You know a guy doesn't act like that if he is only worried about his child. I can confidently say that he really cares about you, not just as a captain would his crewmate, but a man to a woman he likes."
Your stomach churned at her words whilst the guilt manifested its place in your heart. You weren't the type of person who could just take whatever someone said as truth.
But maybe Law's behavior —taking care of you and never once pushing you to speak to him—meant something.
Ikkaku blew air out of her nose and stood to her feet, smoothing out her tan boiler suit. "The captain said we'll be stopping at another island in a few minutes. Said the Straw Hat Pirates needed to speak to him." She mumbled under her breath before striding closer to your frame.
The brunette patted your shoulder and gave you a reassuring smile. "Take what you want from what I told you, but I just don't want to see you sad anymore. Uni, Clione, and I are going to remain on the ship if you need anything."
You nodded your head in acknowledgment as the woman left your room quietly. Alone once again, you thought about her words carefully.
It all made your head dizzy. The stuffy air in your sealed room was beginning to make you sick. Some fresh air would be nice and Ikkaku usually hung around on the deck when the submarine was stationed.
Standing up on your swollen ankles, you put on your shoes and wrapped your arms in a thick coat before exiting.
Opening the door, you did not expect to meet with a notoriously well-aged Vice Admiral.
"Smoker!"
He grinned at you, puffing grey smoke into your face as everything quickly became consumed in darkness.
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
Liquid dripping melodically on a stone floor awoke you from your slumber. You stirred, groaning from the throbbing in your head whilst you carefully sat up.
A comforter of some sort fell from your shoulders and allowed for a frigid cool chill to run through your clothes.
Frantically searching around, you observed your situation, and when you realized where you were, your stomach dropped.
Cold dark sea stone surrounded your frame with gigantic sea stone bars caging you. Your right ankle was clasped by the same nullifying rock that led to the wall behind you.
You were in Impel Down Level 6: Eternal Hell.
Dread took over your limbs, the weakness that the sea stone created was nowhere near the trepidation that took over.
"Took you long enough, brat."
Your head flicked towards the cage bars where the voice echoed from, the darkness obscuring the person's figure only for a moment as rays shone in lightly.
"Smoker." You seethed, nails digging into the stone floor as the male squatted slowly before taking a seat in front of you.
He puffed out grey smoke that drifted around your face. You inhaled some by accident but immediately swatted it out and held your breath.
"You wanna f*cking die, punk!"
Smoker snorted and swept his tongue over his bottom lip. He leaned one hand on the ground, his large thick white and blue specialist marine jacket stretching from his movement.
Your (e/c) optics narrowed at the man, the anger boiling beneath your skin, but you attempted your best to mediate it.
Blowing over like you usually would do in front of him wouldn't do you any good...or your baby any good.
Breathing in deeply, you centered yourself before changing your attention to the chain around your ankles. "Chaining me up, really? You know I don't use it anymore."
The male snorted once again and inhaled deeply from his duo cigars, the ends smoldering like burning embers. A reminder of how vibrantly alive your captain's optics were, and it made your heart squeeze.
"You know I don't make the rules." He mused, raising his tinted glasses so you could view his umber-hued eyes. "No one gets any special treatment. Not even my sister."
"Half-sister!" You snarled, brows furrowed with your jaw clenching. The man produced no indication of acknowledging your response in a negative manner.
"Sister? Half-sister? All the same, I got them to keep your clothes, give you a little blanket. You always hated the cold."
"Oh, you remember something about me?" You queried, lips pulled into a taunt grin. "I wonder if you remember when you abandoned me in the Grand Line."
Smoker thrust a finger forward and scowled. "I left you with a good family-"
"You left me period!" You screeched and groaned when a sudden twinge of discomfort fluttered up your uterus. A hand flew to your bulging stomach over the blanket, the pads of your fingers digging into your skin.
Clenching your teeth together, you shook your head, shielding your face from his gaze. "Punk... I idolized you." You stressed.
The inner corner of your eyes stung, glazing over but you refused to let them flow. "You were my big brother, my only family. I wanted to be like you, I wanted to make you proud."
You could hear Smoker audibly swallow. "(Y/n)-"
"No!" You snapped, your face shooting in the direction of the older man which immediately was followed by a silent hiss.
Your hold on your stomach tightened as you inhaled a few sharp breaths before steadying it. "The least you could do is listen to me for once in your pathetic life."
Smoker rolled his eyes. "My life is not pathetic-"
And you interrupted again with a fury of a scorned woman. "Giving up your last blood relative because you didn't want to deal with them makes your life pathetic. Never checking in, calling, no nothing makes your life pathetic."
You scooted closer to the sea stone bars, your leg tugging on the weighty chains as you brought your face directly in front of the rods.
"You left me with a family whose son touched me - forced himself on me - and when I told his parents they called me a liar. It wasn't until I got older, did that same man who told you that he was going to take care of me did the same thing as his son. Now that...that makes you pathetic."
Your half-brother didn't respond, his lips agape but no sound came from within his throat. His scar stretched across the right side of his face and appeared to be in deep thought.
"Yeah." You laughed in your throat and shook your head slowly. "Bet you didn't know that, huh?"
Smoker quickly looked away and removed eye contact. He grasped the two cigars in his mouth and outed them on the stone floor.
"We...We need to talk about this." He rasped, his voice becoming gravelly.
You glanced around past your cell at the other Impel Down inmates who stared at you, obviously intrigued by the shouting.
This was presumably the most entertainment they've received since being here. But you didn't care, you'll let them have their show.
"Why? Why now? You wanna hear about how I cried every night for you to come to pick me up and rescue me from that h*ll hole? How I held onto hope that my brother didn't just abandon me because I was nothing?"
You grasped the bars with your hand and clutched onto them as if you were applying all your anger on the rods.
"I just wanted my big brother back, to save me. I wanted the boy who had always been my hero to hold me in his arms and tell me that everything was alright."
The glossy tears that covered your conjunctiva began to pursue their way down your face, but you made no acknowledgment of it. Instead, you maintained eye contact with your half-brother.
"I wanted to be told that I had never asked for those filthy men to touch me like that. That I wasn't a disgusting nobody that no one would ever want, that I mattered-"
You sucked in a breath to hold back a sob of raw pain. "-but you never did."
It was silent as the two of you stared at each other, unmoving.
He once again opened his mouth to speak, but all that left was a silent wheeze.
"Dang, Smoker. You're worse than a pirate for that." An inmate called from deep with Level 6.
The white-haired male grasped his jitte and shot a look at the criminal. "Your execution date just got pushed back, pall. Little Sadi is gonna have some fun with you." He retorted and you could hear an audible gulp.
You scoffed at the man in front of you and reached down for your stomach, which was hidden under your sweatshirt.
There felt to be little to no energy left inside of you. Maybe due to all the sea stones around you or perhaps because you finally conveyed some of the issues of your chest?
"What do you want from me?" You asked under your breath. "Why after 10 years of abandoning me, did you capture me now of all times?"
Smoker removed his hold from the weapon and crossed his arms over his broad chest. "There was a rumor going around that you were pregnant-" His umber orbs flickered to your bulging stomach before situating itself on the ground in front of him. "-and I see that it was right."
"So what?" You snapped. "Suddenly you care about my well-being?"
"I've always cared!" He barked, the volume of his tone loud and assertive. "I always kept track of where you were, I always asked for updates about you. I knew when you ran away and even came looking for you to bring you into the Marines but that damn pirate got you first."
The male huffed and shook his head of white hair. "I wanted you here with me; you could have been so great."
"But I'm a disappointment because I allied with people who actually cared about me, right?" You sought.
Smoker pounded a fist on the sea stone bars, which permitted you to recoil away from the barrier. "They are not your blood! They don't know what's best for you."
"And you do?"
He stayed silent.
You swallowed strenuously and inhaled a shaky breath. He never scared you, no one ever scared you, but at the moment, all you could do was feel terrified.
"I'm going to ask you again, punk. What do you want from me? Why arrest me now?"
With sluggish movements, Smoker removed his fist from the rods and set them on his lap.
"I can pull some strings to get you working under me in the Marines but you have to get rid of that thing."
Your (e/c)'s optics bulged from their sockets.
"I can't let you bring that Worst Generation's offspring into this world, not that criminals kid. I wanted you to see the errors of your ways, aligning with those who forsake the laws. You wanted to be a criminal so I was going to let you learn your lesson but now it seems I have to intervene."
You could not believe the words that were uttered from his mouth. The absolute audacity was appalling and it left you staring at him as if he had sprouted two heads.
"A-Are you kidding me!? You have no f*cking right to tell me what I can and can't do! It's my body and it's my choice whether I keep it, whether I stay a pirate! You have no say at all! You lost any right when you left me!"
Your stomach cramped, your hips jerking as you enwrapped your tummy with your arms.
"As your brother, I have every right. I'm your only family and you're making a mistake."
Shaking your head, you held back a laugh of disbelief. "The only mistake I made was loving you with every fiber in my body and praying that one day you would come back. But I don't need to be some hanky panky petty officer to see that you are no hero. You're just a selfish phony that wanted to be all big and powerful because of your stupid pride!"
You heaved yourself to your feet and wobbled away into a corner out of his sight. "I'm done with you, Smoker. Leave me alone just like you did before."
"(Y/n)." He expressed your name with such strain in his voice but you ignored it. "This is your last chance that I can offer. Give me the opportunity to be the brother I should have been or...or I'll have no choice but let you be executed."
"Agree to kill the baby in my womb and become one of your subordinates so that you can abandon me when it is most convenient or let myself be killed?" You enunciated with fake enthusiasm. "I'm definitely going to take up your offer and get executed!"
Smoker didn't reply, no words or sound bouncing back in response to your mockery. It stayed in this uncomfortable silence for what felt like too long until he finally broke it.
"Use the blanket, brat. It'll get colder down here." He expressed under his breath before knocking on your sea stone bars. "I wish that this wasn't your choice. You're still my sister, I still hold love for you and always will. Remember that."
"Yeah, I'll remember it when I'm getting my neck sliced through."
Your brother sighed audibly before pivoting on the balls of his feet and distancing himself from your cage.
Melancholic silence took over in Level 6. Not one person spoke or even so much as coughed. The fury that once spewed through your veins diminished and endowed you with nothing but a gaping hole in your heart.
You have thought before that if you ever got the chance to confront Smoker about the abandonment, you would feel as if a weight was lifted off your chest.
But in reality, it just made it heavier. You don't know what hurt more. The fact that he still cares about you or the fact that Smoker would once again put his pride above all else.
A sob rose from your chest, your eyes burning once again as a wail ripped through your throat. You attempted to keep it silent, only wheezing and huffing, but with how noiseless the floor was, you were sure the others heard.
It was embarrassing.
"Hey, Lady."
Your gaze flew from the ground to your cage door. It was the voice that called out Smoker earlier.
"Don't cry over that b*stard, he ain't worth it. There's not much we can do but-" He stuck out his elongated arms and in his hands was a couple of fading cedar-hued blankets. "-It does get really cold down here."
You didn't know if you wanted to cry or laugh, all your emotions were still pretty raw. With attentive movements, you stood to your feet and trekked over to the bars, your chain dragging laboriously behind you.
Gingerly you grasped the coverings and ran your fingers along the soft surface. "What about you guys?"
The men in the cell next to you clicked their tongues. "We got thick skin." One declared. "You needed it more than us." Another expressed.
You bit back a smile and bowed even though you knew they couldn't see. "Thank you."
"Anything for a bada** lady like yourself."
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
Even though you refused your half-brother's offer, he still made sure you were being fed more than those in Eternal Hell would be.
Your portions were larger, water cleaner, and even a doctor was brought down to check on how you were doing, not once for the baby growing in your stomach.
You asked him why all of it mattered if you and the child were just going to die anyway and Smoker always replied with the same two sentences.
The same thing repeatedly.
"I'm still your brother, I made you suffer as much as it is." and "Just because you're going to die doesn't mean I don't care about you right now."
How sweet.
Finally giving a sh*t when it didn't even matter anymore.
You don't know how long you've been encased in Impel Down. It could be days, but the steady growth of your stomach suggests at least a few weeks.
The child's due date was nearing, give or take a few more months. Smoker guaranteed that both of you would be executed long before that would happen.
You could only pray that every time the Impel Down staff came down it was to execute you finally.
Get it done now instead of wasting your time.
Although, you seemed to pass some of it by conversing with the other convicts. They were crude, blunt, and unmannered, but that's what you like about them.
Easily the criminals reminded you of the Heart Pirates and you couldn't help but miss them dearly. You had your heart locked down ever since the trauma of your childhood, but it seems like the crew slithered their way in.
Especially the captain. You were beginning to realize your feelings towards the surgeon of death, but now it appears to have been for nothing.
You have to admit, though, that you miss the rowdy bunch. You miss being on the Polar Tang and observing the marine life through your glass window.
Perhaps you even admit to missing the overbearing worry of your baby's father.
But maybe it was for the best this way. Unlike what transpired with your brother and being the one hurt, you can save yourself from the heartache this time.
Your teeth chattered as you tightened the blankets around your frame in the corner of your cell. Your stomach churned and cramped uncomfortably. Even with the comforters provided by your neighboring criminals and Smoker, all the sea stones had sucked any strength you had.
It left you a weakened shell of what you used to be. The rest of your strength and energy went to the child, who was surprisingly inactive most of the time.
There was worry, fear that something was wrong, but what could you? Smoker didn't give a sh*t about it anyway and the two of you were going to be killed soon.
Better get it over with now.
"You okay over there, munchkin?"
You laughed weakly at your cell neighbor and closed your eyes. "Yeah, just a little sickly." You replied.
One of the prisoners bellowed with laughter. "You're lucky they never placed you in Level 5. You would be living in agony."
"Oh, I'm sure." You murmured.
Impel Down Level 5: Freezing Hell
You would have been begging for death sooner if they placed you on that floor.
Another cramp in your womb made you inhale a shaky breath, whimpering the slightest.
"Listen, munchkin." His voice had you perked up the slightest and zone out all other noise. "I overheard some things that the warden was saying to the staff."
"Yeah?" You asked, grinning. "Are we getting pudding for dinner tomorrow?"
He hummed, almost saddened. "Your execution is scheduled for tomorrow evening."
The smile fell from your lips, your face slackening for a moment. "Oh." It was barely audible.
You've been waiting for this, mentally preparing yourself for your execution. It still stung the slightest but you were ready.
You've been ready ever since your big brother abandoned you.
"About time." You crooned, a hand unconsciously stroking your tummy. "My back has been aching~."
Your neighbors laughed at your response for a moment until it became silent again—only the dragging of heavy sea stone chains and breathing permeated in the air.
"Get some rest, munchkin. If you need anything, well you know just scream I guess." Someone mused, yielding you to shake your head and chuckle aloud.
"Goodnight."
"Goodnight."

Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
Your (e/c) optics snapped open, your heart palpating as the booming echo reverberated all around the floor Level 6.
Darkness, the deep gloaming was all you could see for a moment before the ordinarily dark blue tint took over.
Sitting up gradually, your stomach cramped and throbbed as the banging grew louder. Inhaling shaky breaths, you were still drowsy and unable to focus.
It wasn't until a set of hands grasped your arms that you were able to concentrate. The warmth of another was foreign as you looked up slowly and met the same molten golden gaze that made your tummy tingle.
"Captain...?"
It had to be a dream as you stared at his face, memorizing the firmness of his cheeks, the sharpness of his jaw, the little frays of hair from his goatee and sideburns.
"(Y/n)." He expressed your name as if he too couldn't believe you were in front of him
You didn't expect him to pull your body into his abruptly. One of his arms snaked around your shoulders while he hid his face in the crook of your neck. His other hand grasped the back of your head and pressed you into him.
His scent wafted into your nose, the familiar fragrance that your lungs greedily devoured. You wouldn't have believed that he was here if it wasn't for his firm grip.
Hastily he pulled back as if coming to his senses and began examining your limbs for any injuries.
"The baby is okay, I think." You murmured.
Law shot his gaze back up to meet yours and furrowed his brows. "I'm worried about you, (Y/n)! You come first before anything else!" He stated causing you to recoil back.
His statement made your mind hazy, influencing your emotions that grew stronger. "How did you get-
"Your brother helped. Now, come on. Let's get you out of here so you can come home." He declared while letting you go and using Nodachi Kikoku to break your sea stone chains in half.
"How do you know-" You've never told anyone about your past, or how you were related to the Vice Admiral.
"No time!" He responded.
Your eyes barely had the strength to remain open, fluttering as you watched him virtually in slow motion pick your body up and depart from your cell.
You hope this wasn't a dream, that when you open your eyes again it's not the cold lonely cell in Impel Down anymore.
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
It beeped, and light mechanical whirring filled your ears. The noise stirred you awake, and the air around you was so much cleaner.
Your lungs inhaled sharply and opened your eyes to luminous rays. It burned as your vision focused.
And the sight warmed your heart. Thankfully, you were in Law's office in the Polar Tang.
You were back, you were home.
The inner corner of your eyes stung, a sudden wave of assurance coursing through your head. You wanted to cry and when that familiar warmth touched your face, they began to flow.
"I'm sorry it took me so long," Law murmured next to your frame on the medical bed.
"It's okay." You wheezed under your breath, still weak and frail from your imprisonment.
The man sucked in a breath before he carefully lifted your torso and pulled you into a firm hug. His lips were by your ear, and you could hear a faint voice: "I'm glad I got my family back."
You froze in your spot, his words striking you like a ship crashing into a rock. The realization had slapped you harshly as you pursed your lips tightly together.
All this time you thought your only family was Smoker, the one who abandoned you, and because of it you were too afraid to let anyone else in.
But it wasn't like that anymore.
You had family, people that really cared about you. The Heart Pirates were here for you and most importantly Law...as well as the baby in your womb.
Suddenly remembering the significance of your situation, you pulled away from his hug and looked down at your stomach.
"How's the baby!? Are they-
"They're fine." He interjected and held your face in his calloused palms. His thumb caressed your cheek carefully as he leaned down.
His nose brushed against yours briefly before he slowly connected. His lips were cool compared to his hands but the contrast felt pleasant.
Your lips moved hesitantly at first but for once, you let yourself open up the strong desires of your heart.
He kissed you with the passion of a man in love.
One of his hands traveled to your waist, his fingers digging into your flesh as he pulled you closer to him. His other hand held the back of your neck, his fingers playing along the strands of your hair.
You wanted to keep going, to keep tasting the dried plums on his lips, but both of you needed air. Law pulled back reluctantly and rested his forehead against yours.
His molten golden optics were hidden behind his lids as he attempted to collect his breathing. "I've been wanting to do that for so long but I needed to wait."
You hummed to yourself, pulling away and removing his hands so you could hold them. "I'm glad you waited because..."
The two of you met each other's gaze as you smiled. A genuine smile that made his heart flutter. "I'm not afraid to let you in anymore, Law."

"You have to work with me, (Y/n)."
Refusing to even look at him, you set your gaze on your nails. Your legs were crossed over each other as you leaned back against the couch in the Patchwork Lab.
"If you want our relationship to grow stronge,r then you're going to have to let it go."
Disregarding Stein's words and not even giving him a glance, you stood to your feet and kicked your heels back on. "I'm going back to staying at Spirit's for a while. Send a message if you need me." You informed, tiredly reaching for your purse only for his hands to seize your wrist.
This ultimately gained your attention. Your (e/c) optics connected with his fern-hued ones. The stare-off was so intense that the air seemed thicker in the room.
"You're not going to leave just because you're a little upset. That's childish, (Y/n)." The man stated, smoke wafting from his lit cigarette.
"No." You blew out the cancer stick and yanked his hold off your wrist. "Us breaking up doesn't warrant you to go and sleep with Marie who you almost got pregnant! I mean-"
You slapped his chest with your purse, permitting a loud grunt to echo from his throat. "We broke up because you didn't want kids and I did!" You snapped before bearing a deep breath to calm yourself.
The exceedingly tall 6'10 (208 cm) male gazed down at you with an ardent stare. "You're becoming extremely emotional about this, you're not going to be able to think clearly."
"Stein." You called his last name in a warning tone. "I'm not even mad that you slept with her, we broke up, on a break. I'm mad because you don't understand how important having a family is to me, and how I want it to be with you. Almost getting her pregnant before we got back together reveals your blatant disregard for my feelings. It shows you rather put your test, questions, and experiments above everyone, above me."
It was difficult to be upset with him about these things. Stein is different than everybody else who saw anything in the world as an experiment.
He lacks the ability to understand complex emotions and most of his actions were shallow, only to benefit his dormant madness and twisted mind.
Knowing the scientist for as long as you have, you believed there was a bond the two of you shared. Something that was entirely real and something even Stein didn't understand but welcomed with great interest.
But nothing was ever enough for the mad scientist, apparently. You believed that after the death of Asura, when the madness subsided, so would his drastic lust for experimenting.
Sighing, you shook your head in defeat and strode to his zig-zag-styled doors. You halted once you arrived and flexed your fingers.
"Listen, I'm not giving up on this relationship unless that's what you want. But you have to start showing that you actually care. I know it's hard for you, but you have to work on understanding people deeper than just what's on the surface. When you're ready to show me that, come get me and I'll be happy to come home. Until then, I'll see you at work."
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
Yawning aloud and waving a hand in front of your face, the bell rang and dismissed your students. They dispersed like a rushing current, all dashing past each other to get to their lunch table first.
You weren't particularly hungry, maybe because there was still a lot on your mind that the thought of even eating made your stomach churn.
There was still quite a bit of time before your next class starts so maybe you'll use this opportunity to rest. Stepping down from your platform, your heels clicked softly as you reached for the light switch.
However, to your surprise, the door to your classroom was opened, and peeking in was none other than your boyfriend and childhood lover. He gave you a jovial smile.
"(Y/n)." He expressed your name in a quiet voice and fully stepped into your classroom. His hands found their way into the pocket of his doctor's lab coat as he quirked a grin at you.
Your lips pulled into a thin-lipped expression with arms crossing underneath your chest. "What do you want, Stein?" You asked, tone uncaring and agitated.
The silver-grey-haired male rose a hand to the large screw-in-bolt in his head and turned it a few times to collect his thoughts.
"Maybe I just wanted to see you." He inquired, a glimmer arising in his round glasses permitting you to raise an eyebrow and cock your head to the side.
"That's suspicious. That's weird." The man rolled his fern-colored orbs at your response.
"It's weird that I want to see my significant other?" He questioned, shutting the door behind him. You nodded your head immediately with no hesitation.
Stein's left eye twitched slightly. "I did just want to see you." He announced. "I also wanted to do something with you."
Your brows rose as you scratched at the back of your neck. "Can't be good. If you want to dissect me then you're gonna have to wait till I die."
The handsome man laughed in his throat and your shoulders couldn't help but deflate. You wondered if his effort were fake, just one of his automatic responses or a genuine reaction.
You weren't sure and you didn't know if you knew him as well as you thought anymore.
"No, I'll save that for later." You rolled your (e/c) eyes. "I wanted to try soul resonance."
A bit taken aback, you felt your mouth slip agape. "Why do you want to do something like that now? We're not even in combat?" You questioned.
Stein nodded his head before bearing slow almost intimidating steps to your frame. His long limbs left him no trouble arriving in front of you quickly.
"You know-" He let one of his fingers caress your lower jaw, his face tilting down closer to yours. "it's not only for combat. It's also a way two souls can bond and communicate telepathically."
It took you a second to understand where things were going but as soon as you realized you had to shake your head. It was a bit clever that Stein would like to convey his thoughts to you through his mind rather than his lips.
What you wanted was for him to work on himself, to be able to express his thoughts freely. But, you guess you'll humor him for now.
"Fine." You accepted and stepped back, holding out a hand for him to take. His lips quirked into a grin as he gladly accepted your hand.
His head dipped as his lips delicately touched the back of your hand, placing a smooch on it that you still could feel even when he pulled away.
He held them in a secure hold before drawing your body to his and placing his free hand on the small of his back. Your breath hitched as the warmth of his body wafted onto your skin through your clothes.
It had been a while since the two of you touched each other and you hope he works on himself soon. You miss his touch.
Gradually you let your eyes wander back up to his face and met his gaze. Ah, those beautiful fern eyes that you fell in love with when you were only kids and still manage to fall even more in love with as adults.
"Do you remember how to dance?" He teased lightly, referring to your absentmindedness.
His words shook you from your thoughts, you blinked a few times before quickly looking anywhere but his face. "Shut it, I'm the one that taught you to dance in the first place."
He hummed in response as you brought your hand up to his shoulder and held your clasped arms outwards. Something special the two of you shared was how the tempo of your beating hearts thumped rhythmically, matching each other.
It allowed the two of you to dance with no music, resonating with the sound of living hearts that corresponded concurrently.
The movement was muscle memory, striding off with a sharp, precise step before being spun around into the next corresponding move.
Heels clicked with the tiled ground as each connecting movement only lasted for a second as the next move commenced. Your heart swelled at the feeling, your mind dizzy from the swaying but also from the nostalgia.
Your eyes found their way up to his face again, connecting with his eyes and once again falling in love with his intense gaze. The sound of your heartbeats drummed in your ears, matching with every step.
The hate, the anger, it all washed away at that moment. You'll have to cuss Stein out later, he knew what he was doing. You hate how smart he is.
Humming, you let your eyes flutter shut and perform every dancing step with excellent precision until your body began to illuminate a white glow.
Your grip on each other's hands grew tight before you morphed into your weapon form. Unlike his previous demon weapon partners who were a scythe, a hammer, and a demon lamp, you were a reverse grip dagger.
The blades were silver, extending alongside his arms and stopping just below his elbow. The matching daggers were connected together by a gold chain at the hilt that grew when he needed it to.
Now that you were was transformed, the hypnotic intimate dance came to a halt as he stared down at your weapon in his hands.
"Ah." He crooned. "It's been a while since I've held you like this."
You snorted, shaking your head within your weapon form. "No, it's been a while since you've held me in human form."
Your childhood lover performed a few attacks at an invisible enemy before chuckling to himself. "How about you transform back and I'll make you remember how my touch in that human form? We still have... say thirty minutes left. Should be enough, right?" He mused.
"Franken Stein!" You hissed. "You're just trying to use cheap tricks to get me to come home!"
The handsome man shrugged his shoulders. "Worth a try."
"Idiot. Either soul resonates with me or get out of my classroom." You shot back.
He whispered 'fine' before inhaling a deep breath and readying his stance. You swallowed the saliva in your mouth before steadying your breathing.
Focus took over your minds as the connection between the two of you grew stronger. Your lips parted, ready to call out soul resonance until a loud commotion distracted you both.
The door to your classroom was slammed open, Spirit's figure sweeping inside as he shouted. "Hey Stein, Marie is asking for your help."
It became awfully still in the classroom as you heard the woman's name. Your heart lurched in your throat as a burning fury coursed through your veins.
It disrupted your melodic heartbeats and broke the rhythm the two of you were sharing.
You weren't even mad at Marie, no; it was just that hearing her name was a reminder of how she almost got what you wanted, how Stein's curiosity meant more to him than you.
These feelings—the hate, the pain—began to make your souls incompatible. The handle of your blades began to seethe with heat until it was like molten Lava.
The Meister had to release your form, dropping you down as you quickly shifted back to your original appearance. "Looks like you're busy." Your words were callous as you turned around to collect your jacket from the coat rack. "Turn off the lights when you leave."
You didn't wait to hear any responses, no excuse at all. Brushing past the Albarn male, your heels clicked down the hall, leaving the former partners in your old classroom.
"Spirit," Stein called.
The said male turned back to face the mad scientist only for his jaw to slacken. Stein's soul began to project forward, his strength infusing with the air and making sweat drip down the back of Spirit's neck.
"I'm going to dissect you fully now."
A loud scream echoed through the halls as the Death Scythe ran for his life with the Elite Meister following behind.
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
So, Plan A of 'Getting my future wife back' did not pan out how the mad scientist wanted.
But that's alright, he had another plan in mind in case Plan A didn't work out as he needed it to. With the power of persuasion, he managed to get you to agree to a date.
The first part consisted of dinner at a grandiloquent restaurant. Spirit and Marie decided to dress up in disguise so they could watch your date and assist Stein since he tended to lack common sense sometimes.
They sat a few tables down, peeking over their menus to observe your interactions. And it didn't look like things were going well.
Your arms were crossed under your chest, and you kept your gaze away from your significant other. This may have been petty, but it only fueled the growing turmoil inside.
When the waiter made his round to your table and asked what your meals would be, Stein confidently said a dish that had you gagging at even hearing the name.
How did he not remember you hated that? And how could he forget your favorite meal?
It was not looking good for the Elite Meister who could be seen visibly sweating. The date had just started and he was already f*cking up.
"So um, how has your class been doing?" He questioned, attempting small talk.
You glanced up from your phone before returning your gaze back to the cellular device. "Fine."
An awkward silence surrounded the two of you as Stein struggled to come up with the right words and you struggled to find any patience to stay.
The usually cool, level-headed man was at his wit's end at the moment. He didn't know how to give you what you wanted, he didn't know the correct words to say.
A genius, a prodigy, and he struggled to convey his emotions. You were the only one that could make him feel so weak. The only one that he couldn't stump or trick. The only one that had him so nervous, not even twisting the screw-in-bolt could help him focus.
This was going to be a long date.
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
Plan B ended horribly and made things considerably worse! He must be on his last life at this point with you.
There was only one more thing he could do, and there was no guarantee that it would work.
You let out a breath as you turned the key into the Patchwork Lab and unlocked the door. The first thing you saw was utter darkness.
"Stein, even if I am not here, I told you to keep the curtains open! My plants need what little light they can get!" You shouted down the hall before setting your purse on a stand and nearing the windows.
With exasperated movements, you slid open the dark curtains and tied them with ribbons to keep them open. By the time you finished, there was still no response, causing you to exhale audibly.
Your heels clicked on the floor as you made your way to the living room, hoping the male was by one of his computers.
However, once you entered, you saw nobody around. The only thing that indicated anybody was there was the small lamp turned on by the couch.
Stepping towards it, you noticed a small, worn-down book atop a folded blanket. It was one of your favorites, and the one the mad scientist had gotten you for your birthday a few years ago.
The sight before you was suspicious, it had you pucker your lips from the sketchiness. But it was obvious what this was for, he wanted you to read it.
Exhaling a breath, you scooted over the objects before taking their place and unraveled the blankets so they could cover your lower body.
Analyzing the outsides of the book, you could tell it was rather old, and whoever had it before had clearly used it a lot.
Its spine was creased all over, the once smooth leather now crinkled and ridged. What you assumed used to be creme white pages looked to have met water with how the bottom of the pages curved and some tinted a dimmer hue.
How odd.
Turning the book back to the front, you slowly opened the hardcover and saw long paragraphs.
This wasn't just a book, it was a journal. And it belonged to Franken Stein.
You did a quick skim, flipping through some pages to see that the dates started years ago, when the man was just a kid, newly enrolled in the DWMA, and continued until a few days ago.
A smile graced your lips at the memory of your childhood, back when the two of you were new students at the Death Weapon Meister Academy.
He was such an outcast, beating up other students and threatening to kill or dissect them. You even found him fascinating.
It was intriguing to read his thoughts and how he truly felt, and you couldn't help but want to read more. And so you did.
Every entry you read thoroughly, remember how the events happened for you, and you compared them to how Stein perceived them.
What you've come to realize is that the mad scientist wasn't void of intense human emotions; he was clearly experiencing them; he just didn't know how to explain them.
There was another journal entry from your teenage years that caught your attention because of its simple title.
Your face felt wet and it wasn't until a droplet of water spread across the pages did you notice you were crying.
Sniffling aloud, you dabbed the tears away with the sleeve of your top. You had to take a few deep breaths to stop a sob that wanted to arise.
This was something you never knew. He's never voiced his thoughts or emotions like this to you. It was just always assuming and guessing with him.
But this was everything you wanted to know. It made him appear so human, so real, capable of feeling complex emotions.
There were a bit more pages left, so you decided to finish the rest. Like the entry that you had just read, the observations leading up to you asking him to be in a relationship were similar to each other.
Feelings he didn't recognize, he wrote it all down and attempted to make sense of it, but failed. You never realized, well you couldn't tell how much you were on his mind.
He cared for you more than you ever thought and it only made the tears cascade down your face continuously.
There was one last written page in the journal, it was recent.
You didn't even realize your arms were shaking until someone grasped them to calm you down. The touch was familiar and so was the warmth.
Stein's hands slowly released yours, allowing you to close the book and place it on the stand next to the couch.
Taking a deep breath, you wiped your face free of tears and trained your gaze up to face the man. He wore an unreadable expression but you could see the strain in his fern-colored optics.
At the moment, you didn't know what to say. All the information you had absorbed was exhausting. You were feeling so much, and it was overwhelming to finally understand and see how he truly felt.
But you didn't realize how much you needed to know it.
"I struggle with a lot of things..." Stein's voice was quiet, just loud enough for you to hear. "I don't know how to express myself correctly, and my emotions are poorly developed, but I have never once doubted how much I care about you."
He kneeled down so his height was less intimidating and reached for your hands that you slowly clasped your fingers with.
"What I did was wrong, I know. I... am sorry."
It was rare to receive an apology from Stein, even rarer if he vocalized it. You knew he really meant it and it wasn't just to please you.
"Well, it looks like you're forgiven." You mused, sniffling at the end. The mad scientist shielded his fern orbs with his eyelids as he inhaled deeply.
"I don't know how much longer I could have gone without you." He breathed while leaning forward so his forehead could press against yours.
A grin etched its way to your face. "According to your journal, I was the air you needed to breathe and without me, you would suffocate."
He pulled back slightly and removed his round glasses. "Hey, that was young adult me. I was rather poetic back then." He stated.
You puckered your lips before releasing his hands so you could wrap them around his neck. "Then let's go more recent. You wrote that I was someone for whom you would commit a selfless act. Who you would put even above yourself."
Stein didn't say anything, instead, his large hands removed the blanket from your legs so he could wrap them around your waist and heave you up in the air.
You squeaked slightly from the surprise and tightened your hold around his neck. "Stein, what are you-"
"I've missed you." He interjected, stepping out of the living room and down the hall to his laboratory.
Humming softly, you leaned forward so your face hid in the crook of his neck. While blowing air against his throat, you felt him shiver and another one arise when you kissed his skin tenderly.
"(Y/n)."
You sighed dreamily at hearing your name leave his mouth breathlessly. "I've missed you so much."
Arriving at his lab, the male set you down on the examining table and pulled back to gaze upon your features. His hands squeezed and caressed your thighs while breathing softly.
"If you would allow-" He leaned forward, letting his lips graze the shell of your ear lightly. "-I'd like to show you how much I missed you."
The insinuating tone to his voice had your tummy tingle and your throat swallow thickly. "I'm all yours."
Stein never made empty promises or turned back on his words. If he said he was going to show you how much he missed, he was going to give it his all.
He had leaned down from his tall stature and captured your lips with his. He was impatient, almost needy as his lips moved against yours.
You could taste him, that unforgettable tang from his tongue. Coffee and most importantly tobacco. You hated smoking or anything to do with cigarettes but when the taste came from his own mouth you desired more.
Your fingers played with his silver-grey locks, lightly tugging before entangling your fingers in them. The man pushed himself against you, desiring to feel your warmth and to feel your body against his.
A hand left your thigh only to creep up to your stomach and snake underneath the clothing item. He caressed your bare skin, dragging his calloused fingertips along your tummy.
The man was touched starved, deprived of any sort of contact for far too long. The sensation of touching your own skin drove him to a hunger he never knew he had.
Wasting no time he pulled back only so your top could be removed but once the appeal no longer shielded your bare body from the man's view his lips were back on yours.
The moment was feverish but also intimate, the two of you felt closer than ever. The information of Stein's true thoughts and feelings made the moment so much more special.
And since you now know what he always kept hidden, he didn't feel like he needed to hold anything back.
His hands removed the bra that supported your breast and replaced the garments with the rough texture of his palms.
The mad man was growing madder. A hunger that formed in the pit of his stomach grew, the longing to be as close to you as can be was overtaking his hazy mind.
Your childhood lover pulled back, the two of you panting, desperate for air but frantic for more. Stein removed his lab coat which was quickly followed by his stitched shirt.
His pale chest was all there for you to view. You soaked in the sight of the firm abbs that flexed when he sucked in a breath deeply.
Lightly you traced the long stitched mark that was wrapping around his left shoulder, down across his pectoral and ribs before reaching down to waistline by crossing over his lower abdomen.
You could feel his body shudder and see his adam's apple bob as he swallowed thickly. No matter how many times the two of you have seen each other's bodies, it felt like you were seeing them for the first time.
Always the both of you found something new on each other, something that you made sure to engrave into your minds.
Stein leaned down to kiss the middle of your throat, trailing wet kisses as he carefully removed your bottom and undergarment.
There was no shame, nothing to hide. He's known your body, every nook, and cranny since you were teens.
His lips trailed from your neck, down the valley of your breast, following the middle of your tummy until he reached between your legs.
Franken Stein was a starving man and you were the never-ending buffet he kept coming back to. He ravished your body, devouring your taste, your smell in an absolute bid of madness.
His name echoed from your lips, reverberating off your chest and ringing in his ears. Your regular voice just calling his name was enough to make his knees buckle.
But when you moaned it, wailing it out in submissions of pleads made everything in him weak. More, he had to give you more.
His fingers aided his mouth in his desire to express his longing for you. The other hand gripped onto a thigh as if attempting to mold the two of you together.
Bruises formed underneath his fingers tips, decorating your skin in markings of his unhinged eros. His hair was being pulled and tugged as his name rasped from your throat.
One time wasn't enough, it didn't satisfy his point of making you see how much he missed you. He brought you to the edge multiple stints, hearing your cries grow louder when he had your entire lower body quivering beneath him.
By the time he was satisfied with the number of your climaxes, you were already a mumbling mess. Sweat coated your skin, shimmering in the laboratory light.
Your breathing was uneven, chest rising and falling unrhythmically. Oh, how he drank in the sight of his lover in such a state.
The feelings, the sensations, all of it has never been as strong as it is when he is with you. And he wanted you to feel that.
The Meister didn't waste any time removing the remainder of his clothing so he was just as bare as you, just as vulnerable.
He held your face in his large hands, meeting your swollen lips with his again, tasting yourself as well as him.
This time it was slower but just as profound. In between every kiss he whispered your name breathlessly and relayed every bit of information that he loved about you.
Your eyes, your smile, your scent, your warmth. The list went on until your eyes glazed with tears.
I love you—and I love you so much—was repeated from your mouth like a broken record. Just saying it didn't feel like enough. No matter how many times you sounded it, you wanted to express it more.
You wrapped your legs around his hips, pushing him closer to you and eagerly begging for him to finally connect his body with yours.
His response was licking the smooth skin of your throat and decorating it in contusions, creating colorful blemishes on display for anyone to see.
When he had his fill, his hands intimately held onto your waist, his face inching down to your tummy where he placed wet kisses along with it.
All the while he enters himself inside, he hears the ragged gasp of amazement and content leave your lips.
Your lover reached deep, grazing against sensitive areas that had you jolt and quiver beneath. Just as desperate as he was when he ravished your body was just as frantic as his longing to bring you to another climax.
He rolled himself out, letting you feel every inch fade only for you to greedily devour him when he entered back in.
Not only could you hear his grunts and groans, but you feel those exhales along your tummy. It tickled you lightly, adding to the stimulation of his already sensual thrust.
Pleads and cries for more seemed to be the only thing you could say. Even though he was already so deep, kissing your body intimately, you wanted more like you wanted to be a part of him completely.
Your love for him held no bounds, it only grew like a lush forest left untouched. And the same for you could be said about the man who was unraveling above you.
His strong grips formed bruises underneath just as his mouth did on your abdomen. He wanted to swallow your moans down his throat just as much as he wanted to hear them.
Your nails dug into the soft flesh of his shoulders, creating crescent-shaped blemishes the closer you came to breaking the skin.
His groans grew louder, throatier when you reached your high. Singing his name like a melodic hymn, praising him like a divine god.
When it came time for his own high, he usually pulled out if he wore no contraceptive. But this time he made no indication of doing so.
Instead, he wrapped his arms around your body, holding you so tightly you could hear his heartbeat. When ecstasy filled his veins, he released inside.
And one point even whispered some words into your ear that were quick to rejuvenate you of your exhaustion.
"We're not stopping until I know you're pregnant."

"Hey, Stein."
The male hummed as he kept his gaze on your leg, massaging your tense muscles and smoothing out any knots.
He was kneeling in front of your frame that rested on the couch, playing with the ends of a small envelope.
"I received this newsletter in the mail the other day. Want to hear it?"
"Sure."
You used your nail to undo the glue and pulled out a few sheets of paper. Quickly skimming over the paragraphs, you nodded your head. "Hmm, well it says here... Oh my!"
The male's gaze flew to your face only to see you give him an ecstatic smile. Turning the paper around to face him, you spoke in a dainty voice.
"You're going to be a father."
His heart skipped a beat.
Stein had accepted the idea of having a child with you, just thinking of it as another part of his life. But as soon as he heard those words his throat closed.
He felt it—that joy that only you could give him surged through his veins. He felt enlightened, as if the world had opened a door to the universe's secret and allowed him to retain information no one else had ever done.
You leaned forward to place a soft smooch on his nose to gain his attention that had clearly wandered off. "Are you going to write about this in your journal?" You sought.
The man observed your frame for a second before shaking his head of silver-grey hair. "No." He murmured under his breath.
His hands rose from your leg to your hip, pulling you closer to his body. He neared his face to yours and basked in the sight of your twinkling eyes.
"I don't need the journal to understand how much I love you. I know that I am thankful and that I am elated."

Phew, I thought I knew Franken Stein but turns out he ended up being much different than I remembered.
It's been decided that softcore smut is the way to go now.

There was no way you could forget him, no way in h*ll. How could you when those white animalistic orbs of his stared down at your bleeding face with a coy grin?
One of his large hands grasping your neck, squeezing, refusing to let you breathe comfortably. Your feet dangled above the ocean, his sharks swirling around in the darkened water.
They waited impatiently for their master to deliver them their next course. Your blood was already dripping from your wounds into the sea, tinting it crimson that only appeared darker in the moonlight.
"Come on, Guppy. All you have to do is relay a bit of information for me." He mused, cocking his head slightly while maintaining his intense gaze on your face. "I might even let you live since you put up a pretty good fight."
"And betray the Raikage? I'd rather be fed to the fish!" You hissed in return only to choke when he tightened his grip.
With no effort he brought your face to his, his busted lip still oozing blood with a trail dripping down his chin. The coy grin vanished and now was replaced with a tight-lipped expression.
Surprisingly, you wanted that grin back. The unamused almost lack of emotion face was more terrifying than the one with his simple smile.
"It's very easy to betray someone." He suddenly announced. "All you gotta do is think about how badly you want something-" Kisame rose one of his bloody hands to the night sky and waved it down to simulate something falling. "-and everything doesn't matter after that."
You swung your legs at him and attempted to get a cheap shot but he quickly snatched your ankle and decided to change your position.
The Akatsuki member held you upside down by your ankles, your face in front of his, and all the liquid from your wounds starting to trickle down to your neck.
Barely managing to focus you spoke. "That only works for sh*t heads with cheap priorities. I know what'll happen if I tell you and my one life isn't worth thousands of my village."
Blood rushed to your head, a nauseating migraine starting to persist but you simply spat on his face. In a disgusting turn of events, he licked it and even leaned closer to you.
"Want a taste?"
When you simply lashed a kunai at his face he hummed, his emotion still unclear. "So." He started and nodded his head. "I've changed my mind. I'm not gonna feed ya to the fish. You're going to have a nice slow death as I take my time ripping out every bone in your body till you can't handle it anymore."
Your (e/c)'s widened, every muscle tensing with you beginning to thrash around in his hold. "Let me go!" You screeched, fist flying out and ready to strike his face but you lacked strength due to your earlier fight.
"Ho~. You start singing a different tune now when you know it's not going to be quick. I should do it slower then." Kisame flung your body to the dirt terrain on that hill and bent down so he was squatting.
He pressed one of his shins down on your stomach while a hand reached for your face, gripping your lower jaw and forcing you to look at his face.
"I want you to look at me as I break you." He hummed, lips pulling into a coy grin. The male's other hand reached down to your thigh, a sharp object slicing easily through the fabric so your skin could meet the cool night air.
His fingers pressed into your leg, the rough pads of his fingertips starting to dig into your flesh and send bouts of discomfort through your veins.
It wasn't until he pressed harder, the sudden sensation of your own skin ripping off of your body caused a petrified scream to resonate out from your lips.
You wanted to look away, scrunch your eyes closed as he tore through your muscles, but his grip on your face was ever so tight. You had to watch his expression clearly, the sadistic grin growing, his white optics gleaming brighter from your pain, and his knee almost shaking from yielding such nauseating sensations to you.
When his fingers grazed against your femur you lost it. Ballistic screaming, every possible limb flailing as the undeniable pain took over every nerve.
Tears streamed down from your eyes, mixing with the blood that made your appearance look all the more pathetic.
"You had your chance." He crooned, pressing his fingers against the bone again, which compelled your back to arch as you attempted to form into a fetal position, but his grip ceased any movement.
"I admire your loyalty..." You didn't even know what he did next; you couldn't tell because all of your senses suddenly shut down. Your vision was fading in and out, and so was your hearing.
But like a sadistic joke, your own body allowed you to hear his last words before you ultimately fell unconscious.
"But I'm saving you the trouble of being betrayed by your own comrade. At least now your death won't be so meaningless."
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
To say you were surprised when you had awoken in the hospital was an understatement. You thought you were dead, you had to be with all the wounds Kisame inflicted on your body, but you were wrong.
You were alive and breathing, and although heavily damaged, you still could move your limbs. Well, most of them. The injury to your left femur was so significant, the medical nin's couldn't do anything about it.
Now your leg had a permanent lip, unable to bear the full weight of your body at some points. You swore one day you'd get your revenge.
Disable him as he did to you, or maybe you should give him a slow death, letting every nerve inside of his body ignite in flames and allow for him to burn slowly from the inside.
Who knows, you'll decide when you catch him.
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
When you finally caught up to him, you could never forget how genuinely surprised he was to see you. And even more when he found himself snagged in your trap.
You squatted down, grasping his chin and forcing him to face you directly. There was no expression playing across your face; you looked somewhat disappointed.
"You were much scarier on that cliff." You stated, observing his tinted lips curving into a frown. "Maybe I should have fought you like last time when I was dealing with insomnia."
Kisame narrowed his animalistic white orbs and grunted. "You caught me on a bad time, Guppy." He stated, referring to the fist-sized wound on the left side of his abdomen from his fight with a group of jonin. "And most of all I didn't expect for you even to be alive."
"Surprise." You sang, faking enthusiasm before sending a swift kick to his side and sending him flying through a multitude of trees.
The Akatsuki member grunted aloud, his sounds of pain mixing with the breaking of trees echoed out in that forest. Slowly you strode towards him, limping slightly from your fragmented leg.
It had to be menacing, the slow, almost sinister nearing of your frame to the male who hunched over and wheezed from the pain. His feeble attempts at moving were all but halted from the chakra chains around his torso and legs.
When you approached him, you pushed him over onto his back and squatted down again. Your left shin pressing down onto his stomach with your left hand grasping his face.
"I want you to look at me and see how you'd react if I did the same thing you did to me."
Kisame appeared genuinely shocked by the turn of events and even more so by how quickly he was overpowered. Just like he had done those months ago, you cut his pants on his thigh and gripped tightly onto his blue-greyish tinted skin.
He stiffened, breathing heavily and even baring his sharp triangular teeth. A sharp punch to his jaw was enough to almost knock the wind out of him.
The man wheezed as his leg attempted to jerk out of your hold. "No, we don't do that here." You mused, tightening your hold on his thigh.
Before you could reciprocate the actions he had done to you a couple of months ago, an interruption had occurred. You were thrown over Kisame's frame, landing on your stomach, and grunting from the impact.
You had to blink off your surprise before spin kicking yourself to your feet with a kunai and chakra chain ready for this surprise guest.
Another man appeared, dressed in the ebony-hued Akatsuki cloak with red cloud patterns. His raven-colored hair shimmered in the sunlight before he turned to face you.
Eye's that were almost like pools of blood met yours and your breath hitched, fear spreading through your limbs and stiffening your body like stone.
"Come on Itachi, let's get back to the hideout," Kisame murmured, using his brute strength to demolish the chains and stand to his feet. "Just leave this weakling."
Itachi didn't move for a moment before slowly pivoting on the balls of his feet. The two were ready to leave, but you quickly stopped them.
"Hey! You're not leaving until I get my revenge." You snarled.
The midnight blue-haired male gave you a toothy grin and grasped Samehada, which his partner then handed to him.
"We'll have to save that for next time, Guppy."
You grimaced and watched the two Akatsuki members disappear in a gust of wind, their chakra presence all but immediately becoming undetectable.
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
You'll always remember the night that changed everything. It was the night you both showed your vulnerability to each other, which led to one thing after another.
When your consciousness began to emerge and disperse you from your dreams, you let out an audible groan from your raspy throat.
Muffled pounding, like fists pounding from heaven upon the earth, echoed all around you. Sitting up, you held your ailing head in your hand and attempted to open your eyes.
"Did you ever learn to swim?"
Your gaze flung to the voice, and immediately, Kisame's figure came into view. His body was notably bare, and his legs were slightly angled to shield his modesty.
His muscular chest was on display. His back was pressing up against the cave walls, and he extended one leg and brought the other to his chest.
A fire in front of you caught your attention, the way it hauntingly danced its shadows across your figures and threatened you with how close its licks came to your body.
It wasn't until a chill breeze blowing across your skin did you realize you were nude, stripped of all your clothes, and only protected by the ebony-hued cloak.
For a moment you were frozen before wheezing aloud and curling into a ball, forcing the coat to hide your entire frame.
"You f*cking pervert!" You bellowed, cheeks singeing hotter than the makeshift fire. The man simply laughed at you and broke the small twig in half that he was playing with.
"I think you should be calling me your savior, Guppy. You would have drowned if it wasn't for me hauling your a** out of the river." He responded, animalistic white optics diverting towards the front of the cave. "I would have left you there but I got caught up in the storm and the sun had just set."
You followed his gaze and could barely make out what was outside. The rain poured forcefully, just shimmering almost grey streams that masked anything from view. Just darkness lay before it.
Your cheeks puffed out from the sight and you glowered at your situation.
"Anyways," He suddenly started to catch your attention. "I'd much prefer you to be awake as I strip you of any clothing-" You threw a rock at his head.
"Pervert!"
Kisame grumbled, rubbing the smallish growing bump on his head. "You've got an arm like a man!" You hurled another rock and struck him in the exact same spot.
"Shut up! I'm already as insecure about my arms as it is!"
He didn't say anything for a minute, just observing your frame that hid behind his cloak and even held up another small rock in case he were to spew any more comments.
The naked man shook his head, shielding his optics behind his eyelids while rubbing at the back of his neck.
"You shouldn't be." He stated under his breath. "You punch like a damn beast, knocks the wind outta me."
Biting the inside of your cheek you slowly lowered the rock in your dominant hand. "I need to be if I want to kill you."
The Akatsuki member nodded his head, the left side of his lips quirking up into a grin. "Yeah, that's right."
It became silent in the cave, other than the pounding of the storm and wailing of the wind. Wood splintered almost melodically as the two of you kept your distance and gaze away from each other.
Sleep was something you couldn't reach, already fulfilled by your deep unconsciousness after you fell off that waterfall. You didn't think it would be such a far fall or the pound be so deep.
You couldn't help but think how ironic the situation was. After the fight by the cliff, you vowed to take your revenge for your fallen comrades and injury to your leg.
You've been tracking him down alongside completing your missions, clashing with him every chance you got. But you could never win against him.
And here the both of you are, sitting on opposite sides of the dingy cave with a silent agreement of mutual peace for the moment.
Another cold breeze kissed your skin, smothering you in its chill, which resulted in you shivering aloud. Your teeth chattered, and even your jaw ached because of how you clenched it subconsciously.
You pulled his cloak tighter against your body and huddled yourself close under it. There wasn't a word to describe how much you despised the cold.
Its chill was only desirable in the comforts of your home when you had access to warm clothes and thick blankets. Here you had nothing but the enemy's recognizable cloak.
Although a fire rested just a few feet from your body, you wouldn't dare step any closer in fear of him suddenly attacking. You couldn't trust that sadistic killer, not after everything he had done.
Your hair still felt slightly damp and the small trickle of water down the back of your neck was disfavored. Across from you, Kisame appeared utterly unfazed.
His skin, as well as his hair, appeared completely dry. There were no signs of goosebumps or any indication that the cold was a bother.
"If you want to stare just ask. I'm more than happy to put myself on display for you."
Your eyes widened from his words. "You freak!" You snapped, throwing another rock at his head. "As if anyone would want to see you like that!"
His grin immediately dropped and instead of letting the rock connect with his head he seized it and crushed the stone in his hand.
It turned into a powder that trickled onto the ground, dusting it with its remnants. His aloof, almost careless facade had broken as he leaned back, resting his head against the cave walls and staring almost too fiercely into your eyes.
"Ah, it's unfortunate how much I have to agree with you." He stated with such a callous voice that it rivaled the wind.
The sudden change of his attitude and words caused you to recoil back and break eye contact with him. There was a bit of guilt from your words forming in your chest.
Kisame may have been an almost crazed sadistic missing-nin with a high drive to fight, but it also appeared he was actually a bit self-conscious.
You were sure it was because of his skin color and the gills on his face and shoulders. You've never met anyone with such explicit, inhuman characteristics; nobody you knew had the same features as him.
He must feel very alone because of it.
Clearing your throat, you glanced down at his coat and spoke. "Don't be a baby." You grumbled aloud and puckered your lips, feeling quite embarrassed. "I think... I think you're kind of hot."
Kisame chuckled in his throat, and you could almost see a toothy grin on his lips. "Oh really?" He sought.
Your cheeks must have been burning as hot as the fire. "Don't let it get to your head!" He laughed louder this time and you had to conceal your face with his coat. "You're still a psychotic killer!"
"You know...you're kind of cute when you're not gunning for my neck."
His words caught you off guard, and the most you could do was stay silent and obscure your face from his gaze. Again neither of you spoke but this time a much more comfortable silence overtook the inside of that cave.
You attempted to use this opportunity to rest, laying down on the floor and wrapping yourself in the coat. It was still freshly nighttime and you didn't know how much longer you could sit in his presence and be sane.
Although the rainstorm was rather soothing and melodic, the cold was just so bothersome. You tried to ignore it; that's what you were trained to do, but the bareness of your body and still slightly damp hair were of no help.
"You good over there? I can practically hear your teeth chattering from here." Kisame questioned and you could basically see his grin in your head.
You grit your teeth and stared at the dim wall with dancing shadows. "I'm perfect." You hissed.
"fix your anger issues and you just might be."
"I'm gonna throw another rock at you."
He didn't respond, letting the ambient silence return. You don't know how long you lay there, attempting to fall back into a deep slumber but were ultimately denied by the chill that rose up your body.
A sudden huff from Kisame caught your attention. It sounded as if he stood up, and his footsteps grew louder the closer he approached.
"What do you think you're doing? Stay on your side!" You snarled.
"There is no side." He snapped back causing you to shut up and glower under the apparel immediately.
To your surprise, you felt the cloak lift and the sudden heat of his skin waft onto yours. You froze in your spot as his muscular arms wrapped around your torso and pressed your back firmly against his chest.
"Relax, " he muttered, his voice so close to your ears that you practically shivered. I'm not going to do anything, well—" he chuckled in his throat, "—unless you want me to."
"I'm going to kill you now." You muttered.
Kisame hummed before nuzzling his head in the crook of your neck. "Only if your a** is the last thing I get to see."
"Where's my rock?"
His lips quirked into a grin along your smooth skin. You hated to admit it, but he was much warmer than you thought. Any spots your skin grazed against his, it felt as if they were kindled in flames.
The frown fell from your lips, and you found your face and body relaxing.
"That's better." The male mumbled, his thumb caressing your hip and rubbing soothing circles that were rather stimulating.
You didn't say anything, just holding your arms tightly against your chest and hugging yourself. "You know you don't need to touch me like that." You informed him.
"I know." He replied in a low, almost whisper-like voice. "I just couldn't help myself."
Your fingers twitched, extending before you wrapped them around your forearms. "You should stop. It's...distracting."
His thumb ceased its movements before his hand trailed down your leg, his fingertips ghosting over your skin, which resulted in a shiver from you.
"How distracting?" He questioned, warm breath fanning your ear.
You swallowed laboriously. "It makes me a bit...scared." Your words almost couldn't be heard above the storm. "You might hurt me again like that night."
Immediately his actions ceased and his hand lifted from your skin. You didn't expect him to remove his other arm as well and shift your bodies so he rests above you.
The cloak fell from his shoulders and revealed your body. You were quick to shield your private areas with your hands.
"Kisame!"
He didn't say anything as he crawled down so his face reached your legs. He grasped your fragmented thigh and brought his front to it.
His tinted lips pressed against your scarred flesh, glancing up to meet your gaze. Kisame's expression appeared rather serious, and almost daunting.
Your skin ignited under his touch and how close he was to your lower region had you stiffen.
"You know..." His gravelly voice overtook the sound of your thumping heart. "I regret doing this to you." His tongue swept across the skin before kissing the area he licked. "I stopped you from progressing in the ranks." He then sucked lightly on your skin, his grip on your leg tightening as one of his hands reached for your hip to hold firmly. "And scarred your flawless skin."
Tingles surged through your nerves, flaring your skin and exciting your body. Your breathing began to grow low but audible.
Your leg twitched in his hold, which gained his attention. His gaze returned to yours and his intense white optics were almost enchanting.
"Allow me to make it up to you." With careful movements, he set your leg down and returned to hovering above you, hands pressing into the coat behind you. "Let me help the pain go away."
Kisame leaned forward, grazing his sharp teeth along the curve of your throat. "I want to make you forget about it." His lips formed around your collarbone and sucked softly, its tingling pressure causing you to grip onto his shoulders and lightly stroke the gill marks.
"Just tell me what you want, (Y/n)."
You swallowed strenuously.
"Just think of me, (Y/n)."
Your heart thumped audibly in your ears.
"Just say yes, (Y/n)."
Steadily you lifted your hands to reach his face, your thumbs caressed his gill marks as he focused so intensely on your face.
"Yes, Kisame. Touch me, please."
That was all it took for him to do everything he wanted. He kissed you profoundly, wrapping his arms around the small of your back and pushing your body against his.
Careful of his triangular teeth, he attempted to maintain care, but slowly began to lose himself. His lips moved against yours fervently, as if he had been longing for your touch like this for years.
True to his words, Kisame had diverted any thoughts of your fragmented leg away. On that cold stormy night, he decorated every inch of your skin with a reminder of him.
Wet kisses and love bites, all of them adorning your body as if he was jealous of the natural markings that got to stay on you forever.
That mouth soon traveled to other areas, and those calloused large hands caressed other parts of your body.
He was becoming like a starving man that never grew full. More and more, he wanted to connect your bodies together, so you could never forget how his touch drove you wild.
The sounds that he made you reverberate out were music more divine than anything he had ever heard. There was nothing more he wanted to do than to make your moans and mewls a never-ending track.
The man couldn't get enough of your reaction when you reached your climax, gripping onto him like he was your greatest desire you were too afraid to let go of.
His name that fell out of your mouth drove him into an almost primal state, making him mad with lust and passion. More and more, he wanted more, he wanted to give you more.
Kisame didn't stop until he saw the tears falling from the overstimulation and you were begging for him. He didn't need to be persuaded but your broken voice pleading for him to be inside, to be one with you was something he never knew he needed to hear.
You'll never forget how he guided your legs around his hips and leaned forward so his lips pressed against your ear.
He asked again if you wanted him. He asked again if what he was doing was good enough. He asked if you wanted to stop, whispering it in your ear in a breathless tone.
Your mind was already so hazy from everything he had done before, but you knew what you wanted.
You wanted him, you wanted Kisame and nothing else.
His motions were slow, cautious as he finally entered inside your body and conjoined your souls together.
He was caring, whispering sweet nothings into your ear as one hand stroked your hair in a manner to distract you.
And when you finally adjusted, he made sure to keep his promise then.
He was going to be all you could think about: his touch, his smell, his body, his voice, just him.
Nothing else filled your head but the man that drove himself deep inside and skimmed against every sensitive spot in you.
He made you barely able to speak, quivering from his powerful strokes that sent jolts of delight all through your body.
Kisame was extremely attentive as he praised you highly in your ear. Everything you made him feel, he made sure you knew it.
You weren't scared of him anymore.
Not with the way he intimately caressed your skin. Not with the way he pleaded for you to look him in the eyes and let him see how you turned to puddy under him.
The way he touched you, f*cked you, it wasn't about his own enjoyment. Everything was for you and your pleasure.
He didn't just pound inside to reach his high, he started slow and grazed against spots that had you twitch beneath him. His pace only grew when you begged for more, pleaded for him to go harder.
He did exactly as he was told, increasing his speed but stroking inside so deeply. There was nothing the two of you wanted more than just being closer.
But there wasn't any closer the two of you could get with your legs clutching onto his hips tightly, your chest pressing against his.
One of your arms wrapping around his broad torso, nails raking into his tinted flesh and breaking past the skin. His face in the crook of your neck and inhaling your scent with one hand burrowing into the ground to hold his body up.
The other clutching your hand securely in a tight hold, as if he even so much as relaxed, you would fade away.
What were the two of you even talking about again before this happened? You couldn't remember.
Your name was being moaned like a desperate prayer, thanking you for your touch, for your gaze, for your support.
The man above you had your insides fluttering. Butterflies must have been dancing inside your tummy as his pelvis met yours.
You don't even remember how long it was all going on. How many climaxes had you already encountered? How many times had you cried his name?
You don't recall.
That night finally ended with bodies shimmering in a coat of sweat. Kisame's back was riddled with scratches, bleeding from your nails digging into his skin.
His may have looked like he fought a battle but you looked as if you lost one. Shrouded in contusions ranging from all shades of color.
Some from love bites, others from how desperately he held onto your body with such a firm hold.
Kisame made sure all you could think about that night... was him.
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
That night may have forever been engraved not only into your mind but your body as well. It was something you considered that changed you forever.
Until one day your reality all came crashing down.
"(Y/n)!"
You held out a hand to cease your comrade's movement and covered your mouth. Your whole body hunched over as you forced yourself to hold back the contents of your stomach.
Your head pounded, like thrashing waves against the wall of a cliff. You swayed, unable to put one foot in front of the other.
Difficult to even see, it halted your vision from noticing the crack in the ground, which made you tumble down. You don't know who caught you, you couldn't tell as the deep darkness of your mind took over and you fell into unconsciousness.
Waking up at the hospital that night, you expected to be informed of an illness. Maybe from the storm, you were caught in a few months ago. Or it could just be caused by you overexerting yourself during training.
You weren't particularly nervous about your diagnosis until the doctor revealed the results.
You were pregnant.
If you weren't lying down, you were sure you would have collapsed.
Why are you shocked, that night in the cave, after everything, there should be no surprise, you were with child.
Letting everything settle, you had two major thoughts, you were pregnant, and your child's father was an Akatsuki member.
You hadn't seen him since the night at the cave when you gave up on revenge and started focusing on ranking up from jonin.
Everything made you feel unsettled and overwhelmed. You don't even remember the walk home; you didn't even realize you had arrived until you almost banged into your front door.
You didn't know what to think, how to feel. It all was just jumbled into a big ball of a mess.
Did you even want a kid? Could you provide for them properly? Would the absence of a father be a huge issue?
How infuriating. There were just so many thoughts and so much responsibility that it made you sick. All you knew was that you needed to tell Kisame.
A decision needed to be made and it had to involve the father of your unborn child.
The best way you knew you could possibly get ahold of him was by messenger bird. There was no guarantee that he would even respond.
There had been no contact between the two of you for months. That night in the cave was probably just a one-night thing, something he wished to forget afterward.
Sighing deeply from your thoughts, you sent one out and hopefully, you'll hear back soon.
...
That night a presence was felt in your home, immediately waking you from a deep slumber. Your hands grasped a kuna as you slowly lifted from the sheets of your bed and inched towards your door.
The chakra signature was strong. Sweat dripped down the back of your neck as you swallowed strenuously. Rushing out, the kunai almost struck the person, but they grasped your wrist, spun you around, and pressed your front against the wall of your hallway.
"Calm it down, Guppy."
When you recognized that voice, you relaxed and took a deep breath. Kisame released your body and stepped back so you could turn around to face him.
"What are you doing here?" You questioned and reached for the light switch. The both of you flinched slightly from the sudden bright light appearing above.
"Whatcha' mean?" He questioned back. "You said there was an emergency!"
You raised an eyebrow before glancing at the clock on the wall. "That was only four hours ago! I didn't expect for you to what, drop everything and rush here."
Kisame clicked his tongue and directed his gaze elsewhere, the lightest shade of color dusting his cheeks. "Well, I—" he huffed and placed Samehada against the wall. "I was worried. You wouldn't literally ask for me unless you desperately needed to."
Your shoulders deflated and your heart fluttered slightly. Warmth spread across your face and you had to shift your gaze away.
"Okay." You murmured softly. "We need to talk, follow me."
Leading the 6'3 (195 cm) male to your living room, you could hear your heart thumping in your ears. Your palms became clammy and your knees would have buckled if you hadn't reached the couch.
Kisame didn't sit; he appeared too anxious to move after he stopped in front of your frame. "So—" His fingers twitched by his side. "What is it?"
Swallowing thickly you nodded your head before taking a deep breath. "Kisame," He immediately knew it was about something serious if you said his name.
"I'm pregnant."
At first, it seemed as if the male had no reaction, just standing there as stiff as a rock. But after a minute or two of processing, you watched his animalistic white optics glaze over and become glossy with tears.
"M-My Guppy is gonna have my little guppy's?"
He dropped to his knees in front of you and grasped your wrist in a tight hold. "Please, (Y/n)." He had to take a deep breath to stop the sob that wanted to arise. "Please tell me you're not lying."
His expression appeared hopeful and the crack in his voice indicated he was clearly emotional.
Why were you even worried in the first place?
"It's true, Kisame. We're going to have a child."
Under his breath, you could hear him thanking God. The sight brought a smile to your lips, which grew when he leaned forward, placed his forehead against your tummy, and shut his eyes.
His arms wrapped around your midsection, keeping you close.
"I never had a place in life, never fitting in or knowing what my purpose was. The guilt of betraying those around me, killing my comrades just made me think of myself as worthless and a horrible person." His voice was soft, just barely above a whisper.
You stroked a hand through his midnight blue hair while the other rubbed soothing circles on his muscular back through his cloak.
The man was attempting to hold back tears, but you could feel a few of them dampening your sleeping shirt.
"After everything I've done, I know I'm destined to die a meaningless death. With nobody close to me out of fear I'll have to kill them soon."
You didn't say anything; you were just the support the man needed. He hiccuped slightly before inhaling a deep breath to collect himself.
"Do I..." His voice cracked and he swallowed thickly. "Do I even deserve this, a child, a family?"
"Of course." You replied.
"I don't need to be lied to, (Y/n)."
Playfully you tugged on a lock of his hair before resuming your tender strokes.
"It's kind of hard to lie to the man I love." The words came out smooth and unfiltered.
You heard his breath hitch and felt his arms tighten their hold around your body. "(Y/n)." He murmured and rose his gaze to meet yours.
"I really don't deserve to be loved by you. Not after what I did, not after how I hurt you."
Lightly, you flicked his forehead protector and shook your head. "Don't be ungrateful now. The chance of having meaning in your life is right here, so don't blow it." You stated, lips quirking into a grin.
He let out a bout of boisterous laughter and shielded his wide toothy grin with the back of his hand. His eyes were still glossy so you leaned forward and placed small smooches on his eyelids.
"You know... you're kinda cute when you cry." You told him, sticking out your tongue and holding an eyelid down.
Kisame cocked his head to the side before shooting to his feet, your body in his arms as he slammed you down on the cushion.
His hands burrowed in the cushion by your head, a knee in between your legs as he loomed over. He grinned at you and you reciprocated that smile.
"God, I'm in love with you." He breathed while one of his hands migrated to your face, his thumb brushing over your bottom lip.
You raised your arms to wrap around his neck and pulled him closer to you. "If you're going to say such cute things then you really should kiss me."
His grin grew almost ear to ear. "Don't mind if I do."
That hand that graciously touched your face reached down under your shirt to your tummy, and his lips connected with yours. Tenderly, he stroked it. The heat of his hand wafted onto your skin and sent little tingling sensations across your body.
You hummed joyously, running your nails along his back. "I think you'd be a great father," you said between the kisses.
Kisame pulled back just enough so he could gaze upon your face. "You're gonna be an amazing mother, just don't forget about me when the baby comes."
Grinning cheekily you replied in a light tone. "Never. Now kiss me again... please?"
"Continue to act like this and I'm getting you pregnant again after our first child comes."
