i found this really good reference for the exact model of helmet/goggle/mask that pilot wears. so here’s a pilot mask 360:

i also learned that the helmet, goggles, and respirator are all separate pieces that connect together via clasps and straps etc which, seeing separately, makes the whole thing a little easier to figure out

you can also see the material on the inside, for what it’s worth. ik it never comes up in the comic but his helmet has headphones built into them and you can see more clearly what the inner workings of the respirator are like
