General Dating headcanons pt 1
For clarifications... Since these are barely planned they may all over the place + change in future posts as a continued writing for them! Sorry if these are long I have a genuine yap problem.
Characters: Toby, Ej, BEN. (Tried adding Jeff but he got me stuck so it's just those three for now)
Cws: gn reader, sfw, mention of stalking(?), and y'know the basic stuff for the characters. (Basically nothing crazy unless necessary)
-Due to his past and his current life as a proxy he doesn't have much dating experience so getting into a relationship with Toby will most likely be an interesting experience for the both of you. He's not a bad boyfriend however since he has low self esteem and his disorders it might be a bit of a struggle with parts of your relationship at the beginning. Toby would definitely need someone who's understanding and patient. If you are the type to get easily annoyed or play games with his emotions you shouldn't date him.
-Assuming you are also a proxy or just not a regular civilian your relationship will be more comfortable since he wouldn't have to hide things from you. That obviously doesn't mean he will automatically trust you with everything. He wants you to like him but he's also scared of rejection. Of course as you guys get closer and more comfortable with each other he'll definitely be willing to open up to you.
-Despite his clinginess he doesn't really like being touched by most people. He's very tense but luckily the closer you guys are the more comfortable he is with you touching him.
-He is the definition of “a big dog who thinks he's a lap dog” . He likes being in your arms more than the other way around. Will get onto your lap whether you're taller or shorter than him. Will act sad if you tell him to get off of you. Manipulative behavior tsk tsk.Going onto this topic he doesn't mind being the big or little spoon when cuddling he honestly just enjoys your attention.
-Toby does get jealous. If he thinks someone is interested in you he'll get insecure and even worry that you might prefer that person more. Good thing he's pretty scary so anyone who is that daring to flirt with his partner is literally asking to be the next missing person on the news. No sane person will look at him and get too close to his partner.
-Sometimes Toby gets moody. He's not trying to be mean but he just ends up not in the mood for things and would rather be alone. A lot of the time this is after missions. If he ever upsets you by doing this he'll be pretty heartbroken. He doesn't want you to hate him so yes he will be quick to apologize.
-Our favorite cannibalistic demon. Jack is like an overgrown cat. He's a pretty polite boyfriend but sometimes he can't help but listen to animalistic instincts.
-He likes to keep things clean so if you are a messy person he may get a bit annoyed with you but he'll most likely get over it knowing the freaks he's surrounded with daily. (BEN.) Of course he can also be messy himself but normally when he's eating. There isn't really a clean way to eat organs.
-He really doesn't care if the others see him eating since he honestly doesn't care for their opinion half of the time. (If they can kill people they can handle Jack eating kidneys) Of course that changes when he's in a relationship with you. At the beginning he probably is a bit more shy about eating in front of you not wanting you to be grossed out or even worse scared of him.
-He can get insecure as well but is better at hiding it. He's more reserved and quiet. Most of the time just in his room if not hunting. He's more likely to not speak on his worries in the relationship at first but will immediately notice if something is wrong with you. He definitely studies you wanting to be able to tell when your mood changes.
-He's not extremely touchy but he likes to show his affection in small ways. Whether it's him cleaning up after you or getting you a gift. Jack is also a good listener! He's quiet so having someone who likes to talk is pretty nice actually. Yes he enjoys his silence but will never tell you no if you want to talk. That's how he learns about you after all. At this point he could probably make a documentary on you just by listening to you.
-Most people aren't allowed into his room unless necessary but you of course get a free pass. Just please don't make a mess with his things.
-Once again Jack is literally an oversized cat. Cuddling him will be a nightmare because you will always manage to wake up with him on top of you. I hope you are strong because you aren't getting him up easily.He purrs when he's comfortable or just enjoying something. He doesn't talk about it a lot and isn't too big of a fan of being teased about it either. Jack also enjoys his scent being on you. It gives him the idea that you're his and yeah obviously it's not effective to other humans but it gives other monsters the idea to back off. (Will probably go on a whole rant about Jack's demon related stuff another time)
-Jack honestly doesn't get too jealous to the point he's going to do something crazy but still gets annoyed when someone else is getting too comfortable with you. He already staked his claim. That person should just back off. He might be insecure sometimes but he's also smart enough to understand you aren't going to just leave him like that.
-He's kind of annoying but lucky for him you don't hate it. (Hopefully) He 100% is why you need to be scared of digital footprint. Ben WILL find literally everything about you if it's on the Internet somewhere. He's your Internet stalker. He definitely did this before you guys were dating so good luck with that.
-He has ZERO relationship experience but will claim he gets bitches when we all know he doesn't actually.
-Pocket boyfriend both in size and…. Literally. He's not tall like the others since he tries to keep his Link persona. Luckily he's taller than Link but still didn't save himself from being short. Since he can float he's able to just simply make himself seem taller than you when he wants to. Definitely annoying about it. Going to the literal part. He's able to transfer himself through any electronic device so he can literally go into your phone meaning he can be your pocket boyfriend. I probably wouldn't let him hang in your phone knowing him but you do you.
-Ben enjoys his video games. He's a nerd afterall so he might get way too focused on them. Not saying he purposely ignores you but when it comes to Ben you need to expect this. You'll need to DRAG him away most of the time or you can just watch him play or even join him. But seriously tell him to shower please 💔 (do virus’s do well with showers? Maybe not but still.)
-He's the type of guy to call you the most dumbass pet names ever. No matter what gender you are, he's going to call you princess. You might need to shake him around. He'll use stupid pick up lines on you. Some are probably outdated but he's luckily good at keeping up with the time periods. His flirting is still bad. No, he can't handle his own medicine.
-Ben's messy so if you are a neat freak I apologize to you. He doesn't even need to eat, he just does it to do it. The amount of dorito bags and soda bottles in his room has to be a hazard. So I wouldn't let him chill in your room 24/7 because he's going to make it look like his. 💔
-Despite his… flaws? He's not the worst boyfriend. Definitely needs some work but at least he loves you so guess that's a win!
-He's always the little spoon unless you want a backpack then go ahead! He doesn't need to sleep but he still likes to cuddle. Do be warned he's pretty cold. The type of guy to put his cold hands under your shirt. The only time he really gets warm is when he's flustered and I'm pretty sure that's because he's overheating.
-Ben is RARELY insecure about anyone showing interest in you. That doesn't mean he'll sit back and let someone take their chance. He still experiences annoyance and jealousy. All he needs to do is just harass them on the Internet or straight up hack them. If you have their number? Suddenly it's blocked and deleted off your phone. Do you have them added on ANY game or social media? Suddenly they are BANNED. What a coincidence. Same will go for your enemies btw. He doesn't play around. (Only in video games)
-If you ever break up with Ben you cannot get away from him. 💔
