"maybe if [shippers of gay ship] had behaved, their ship would be canon by now" is such a common remark (especially common with queerbait ships and ships suffering from corporate censorship) that i don't think people realize how insidious and homophobic it is. cause they never just mean the loud assholes or fans who genuinely behave in toxic ways. they mean everyone who dares to bring up queercoding and storylines to anyone involved with that piece of media. anyone who talks about it in a public online space too much without adding a hundred caveats. if only every single fan of that ship behaved perfectly (read: if they'd shut up about it), they'd get what they want. an intrinsic impossibility. it intentionally exaggerates both the actual impact fans can have on storytelling and the amount of bad actors in a subset of fandom. it shames fans for caring. it tells them: your desire for representation and queer joy or even love of romance disgusts me. how dare you care this much so openly?

As much as I stan bottom Dean Winchester, I do not and will never understand why people attack bottom Cas enjoyers. And first of all, do you seriously judge a person because they enjoy the vision of flushed Castiel, with teary eyes, struggling to breathe from being fucked so good? Or maybe him holding onto the back of Dean's head who's gasping into Cas' shoulder, whispering sweet nothings and apologising for everything he has ever done to Cas? Because if so, that's homophobic. By a 6–3 vote (with all Democrats dissenting) SCOTUS has just blessed Trump's effort to fire anyone who he doesn't like, irrespective of federal law.

The exception is Federal Reserve Governor Cook, who SCOTUS allowed to remain in her position. Nominally this is because she wasn't given due process to dispute Trump's (bogus) accusations of mortgage fraud; in reality, this is because the Republican justices are literally invested in the status quo and extending the decision to the Federal Reserve would cause the economy to crash.

The Temporary Protected Status program was created by Congress to allow humanitarian protection for those fleeing unsafe countries. (Haiti has seen ongoing gang violence.) out of 127,486 works in Castiel/Dean Winchester, 29058 are tagged as Explicit, which is 22.79% of all destiel fics

out of 39,691 works in Dean Winchester/Sam Winchester, 17735 are tagged as Explicit, which is 44.68% of all wincest fics

Reminder about AO3 rules about tagging: A/B means it is a romantic or sexual relationship (though it can be one-sided). A&B means a platonic relationship - fics focused on a friendship, on familial relationships, etc. Whether fic is tagged as Explicit or not, is a completely separate category. A fic can be about a romantic relationship between two characters and not marked as Explicit, while other fic can be focused on friendship and be marked as Explicit for things like gore and violence.

If this true for wincest, then it is also true for destiel. Argument invalid.

Another argument invalid. Also people in the whole fandom are bad about tagging their AU's.

Do you need a reminder what the "incest" part of your ship name means? Or did you just admitted that people in the wincest fandom are miss-taging their fics as about platonic relationship when they mean a romantic one?

Also there is a lot of destiel fics that are tagged as 'Castiel/Dean Winchester' AND 'Dean Winchester & Sam Winchester', because destiel shippers know how important Sam is to Dean. In fact the wincest side is more hell-bent at ignoring Dean's best friend: Out of 127,502 works tagged as Castiel/Dean Winchester, 67,684 have also Sam Winchester tagged in them, which is 53.08% of all destiel fics. Out of 39,701 works tagged as Dean Winchester/Sam Winchester, only 3,944 of them have also Castiel tagged in them, which is 9.93% of all wincest fics.
