Edit; this happened once and I don’t really want it happening again but please don’t add wincest onto my posts either. It makes be physically ill and distressed. Yes I know I’m a baby and yes I know this is the wincest fandom on a wincest website but I don’t bash on wincest so please don’t go out of your way to make me uncomfortable or make crude jokes. It’s extremely personal to me and makes me very uneasy. Thank you! Again. I don’t hate you if you ship wincest!

HS/College AU where Castiel is a lonely loser. Its fine. He doesn't mind that much. He likes his alone time. he spends a lot of time in the woods near where he lives. The greenery is beautiful and the animals are so calming. Its wonderful. Until he finds out the city is planning on cutting it down, building a new road/building whatever. He is upset to say the least. But the city basically tells him 'tough shit'. one of his few friends(or many siblings) suggesting him to make a petition; "sell cookies on the side of the road, go door to door or some shit!!"
And he does. Well, tries to at least. Just.. one small issue- no one likes him.
No one his age anyway (everyone he tries to get in his college/HS to sign at least). His professors like him enough to sign and encourage him to keep at it. One suggests to get others to help him get people to sign. Someone people like. "Think how compony get infielders to endorse their products. Someone relatable, trustable!" But again.. Castiel doesn't have friends to ask. They're not popular. They would probably get met with the same rejecting.
He does think about ONE person though. Dean. They're not friends-- only talked once or twice before actually-- but he's seen the way people react to him. He's objectively attractive, charming, always has people and girls talking to him every time he sees him.
Castiel asks Dean to help him. Because— people like Dean! A lot of people don’t like Castiel. Dean just has— that kind of charm to him that makes people like him. he seemed nice enough when they talked. there is no reason for Cas not to ask. He's been rejected a total of 137 times in just the few days he tried to get people to sign, what's one more? (shame is a feeling Castiel doesn't know).
so (like a totally normal person) shows up at Deans door that night he comes up with the idea (everyone knows Dean's dorm/home address. Meg sent him the address/dorm number she got from one of her female friends).
Dean thinks the guy is a couk. Hes so weird (because who just shows up to you're door unannounced, especially when they barely know each other?) in the few minutes he was there he got Sam to sign, and gave him a paper to get his friends to do it too.
Dean wanted to say no (because, again... "how did you even get my address? We had like one convo.. do we even have class together?) but 1) Its kinda a dick move to say no to to helping a forest about to be rundown 2) Sam and Cas kinda guilt trip him and 3) what can he say, the guys cute.
He says yes and they spend a bunch of time together from there on out. Dean can kinda get why no one really talks to Cas, his kinda blunt and sarcastic but its so dorky and charming that Cas quickly becomes one of his best friends. Cas takes him to the forest and yah, its beautiful. Cas talks more then Deans ever heard, telling him about his memories and facts about the plants and animals they see (and they see a lot. like they remember Castiel, and like having him). Deans staring to really like the guy.
Anyway, the plan works, they gets enough signatures and help get the destruction stopped. They hug real tight and Cas knows just how to show him how grateful he is!!!
Good morning. Do you ever think about Castiel sitting alone in the bunker in the middle of the night, wondering what it would be like to be lying beside Dean, but knowing that, if that ever happened, the Empty would come to drag him away forever?
this scene always makes me laugh so hard because Mary's been back from the dead for like 30 seconds and she sees her son and his "friend" hug and she clocks them immediately she's like "oh so this is legal now ?"
