Black trans women are not just a statistic btw. They’re real people with real lives and families btw.

Black trans women aren’t monolithic; there are black trans women who are super badass and high femme but there are also black trans women who are butch, who are punk, who are a nerdy girl who hasn’t gone outside in weeks just like how white trans women are.

Ever wonder why trans memes only ever feature white girls? And rarely feature black girls? I certainly know a few black trans women who would love memes for them. It doesn’t need to be about the black experience to be for black trans women. You can have your little puppygirl memes with a black girl, they don’t need to be consigned to memes about natural hair or locs or racism or rap music.

Black people exist beyond the confines of anti-racist talking points. Black trans women exist beyond the confines of transfeminist talking points. If you don’t personally know any black trans women, analyze why that might be; are you making your presence a safe and comfortable place to rest for black trans women that you KNOW face tons of hardship? Or do you not care about actually giving them a safe harbor in your company and instead only care to use them as a cudgel in arguments.

a) this implies that theres only one right way to be asian. untrue. also where exactly do you get off insinuating that /your/ interpretation of asian-ness is the Only Correct One? who are you to do that? not having an accent when speaking your native language does not automatically make you better than everyone else.

b) growing up asian in a country other than the one your ancestors were from means that you already feel alienated from both cultures can we please not exacerbate that feeling.

filipino people are always dismissed. we are treated like some exotic rare kind of people instead of an independent country thats part of asia.

our entire suffering oppression from the americans, japanese, and spaniards are forgotten and erased from history 90% of the time. they only teach you about the oppression we faced back then if youre in some fancy rich private school.

and even then, most schools in the philippines try to erase most of our history from our textbooks and try to paint the americans as our allies when they are anything but.

i had to research most of the filipino history myself because my araling panlipunan teacher would always try to avoid it, and painted the americans as our "heroes" even when actual history says otherwise

we filipinos are excluded from almost all discussions about asian countries. we are told that we "do not count" by fellow asians. and it hurts to see our people believe that lie and live their life unaware that we've been part of asia for years and always will be

even outside of discussions about asia, the philippines is never brought up as an independent country. in other people's eyes, we will always be seen as "america's allies" against our own will.

The game treats the Miis like they’re real people and makes zero mention ever that they are not, and only ever refers to them and their POV as if they are real and you are their caretaker! While playing this honestly messed with my head pretty badly at times and made me worry a lot on if I was hurting real people/not doing enough for real people while I was playing!

I cannot imagine how much worse this would be for someone who’s unmedicated, non-dormant, or experiencing breakthrough symptoms! Do please be careful and PLEASE remember to have a way to reality check yourself while playing the game!!!
