“And I, will never be in a fucking musical”
ever wondered what all 3 wonderland rounds playing at the same time sounds like?
me: looks up something related to adhd / autism every article ever: observe your child’s behavior. talk to your child about it. you know, your child that you have, because this is a condition children have. everyone knows that autistic people disappear by the time they hit 18 years of age
gotta love the implicit assumption that an autistic person couldn’t possibly be looking up information about themselves too
the whole “nonbinary is just woman with a fancy word” concept is so wildly disrespectful and transphobic towards the nonbinary community as whole like.. on every level . i think even for feminine aligned nb people it’s really disrespectful to their nonbinary identity. this trend of erasing nonbinary-ness under the lense of binary gender standards really is one of the most acceptable forms of transphobia
and dont start shit w me about any of this btw im not debating this with people lol
I did a very quick, sketchy comic because I was extremely inspired by this post. (Credit to @pinkdiamondprince for the original post.)
The entire analogy was just fantastic and so, so accurate, and I wanted to make a comic for it, even if it’s very sketchy because my attention span is nil.
An adorable, helpful, and accurate little comic!
This is the best way to describe aro/aceness I’ve seen! Also, the cutest!
sometimes i think back on rose tyler being the companion to usher in dw to a new generation and she was portrayed by billie piper as a common girl with baggy clothes and messy hair and such uncommon beauty and i’m just like, wow rtd really did give us a wholly imperfect, utterly extraordinary companion and made her the actual hero of the show … the power
This was actually a huge draw for me when I first started watching it. The first thing that we saw was this person with realistic bedhead waking up in a realistically messy room, and I was like YES. It was completely different from the manicured Hollywood version of girls/women that I’ve always seen, and it was so refreshing.
What strikes me as most transgressive about her character is that she’s working class - unambiguously, unapologetically. She doesn’t just wake up in a messy room; she wakes up in a tiny bedroom that barely fits her bed. Her hair is not expertly coiffed, she did it herself with a shitty blow dryer in front of a bathroom mirror with bad lightning. Her clothes, make-up and jewelry scream “late 00′s lower class girl”; she doesn’t have the money to develop a refined taste, but makes do with what she can afford. In all her seasons, she always looks kinda trashy, in a way none of the other companions ever did.
And that’s something I don’t think I have ever seen before, at least not in this kind of fantasy/adventure show. Even if the characters tell us they’re struggling economically, they always have that vague aura of middle/upper class about them, that comes with having an expensive wardrobe, perfect make up, a nice apartment, etc. Rose is different; nothing about her, from her home to her workplace is even remotely glamorous.
Class is something that is so seldom addressed in fiction - when it isn’t the whole point of the story, anyway.
So my boiler is busted
There's nothing we can do to fix it, it fully needs replacing. And that costs around £1,500.
We don't have anywhere near that kind of money. We can't even afford groceries at the moment
I hate to do this again but I could use some serious help
Here is my PayPal
Any money you can donate will contribute to us getting a new boiler much faster. The cold months are coming so we really need it done before the weather turns if we can
If you can't donate, please reblog this. I really don't know what we're gonna do
Thank you

The Starcatcher and the King
Look out your window tonight, and you’ll see the moon.
If you’re lucky, you’ll see the stars.
The sky wasn’t always like that, shining like a sheet of ice in the midnight sun. Once, long ago, it was dark. The moon was our only guide, and people walked into the darkness, never to be seen again. It was a cold age, full of fear and loss.
Many a person tried to change this, lighting fires that–in the end–turned to destruction instead of guidance, or harnessing arcane whisperings to lift the veil that covered the night sky, but even the strongest of mages couldn’t hold off this endless tide forever. Darkness always swept back over the sky.
And this darkness not only filled the world, but people’s hearts. The night was another word for violence and fear, with guarded chests and darting eyes that harvested the black for any sign of attack.
None were more guarded than those who had already lost someone to the darkness, and of these, there was one–his name lost to the ages–who longed for a lighter heart than the night would afford him. From his isolated cabin at the edge of the world, he watched the sea and the sky blend into one, his back to the forest that had taken his heart. Sunlight brought a reprieve from the night’s thoughts, but always, the sun dipped back beyond the horizon, leaving only its pale reflection in the shape of the moon.
Every night, the man looked up at the moon, begging its light to spread to the eternal expanse of the sky.
It was years into his nightly vigil when something changed. The moon shone brighter, seemed closer, and the darkness in the man’s heart was filled with this halo of light. The light spread through every part of the man, and he stood from his place at the meeting of the sea and the sky, and stepped towards the forest, intent on bringing the light into the core of darkness that he had lost so many to before. If he could only bring light to the darkest corners of the world, then no one would ever be as lonely as he had been.

The funniest thing about this is that it implies the Doctor wasn’t there. Clara held a sword in battle and it wasn’t even during a trip with the Doctor

honestly Aziraphale really lives the dream. I would love to run a used bookstore without actually needing to make money from it, and spend my remaining free time feeding the ducks with my ridiculous goth significant other
