I would survive every scenario in Final Destination (2000) because I am simply Built Different. No one kills me but ME 😌
“In death there are no accidents, no coincidences, no mishaps, and no escapes.”
Final Destination, (2000) | Director, James Wong
“I am damaged by what you have done to me. I am damaged. But I am not destroyed.” - Susan Kuhnhausen; violent assault/home invasion/hitman survivor
On a cold December night in 1976, seventeen-year-old Gregory Godzik vanished without a trace. He was last seen dropping off a girl after their much-anticipated date. Days went by without a single word from Greg. Soon, Christmas passed as well, and his parents, heartbroken and worried, moved his unwrapped gifts to a closet. There, they remained for three years while the Godzik family waited to answers.
Two years later, while searching the home of serial killer John Wayne Gacy, investigators uncovered Greg’s wallet. They believed the teenager’s body was one of the twenty-six bodies hidden in the crawl space. In total, Gacy killed thirty-three boys and young men, their ages ranging between fourteen and twenty-seven. Greg’s remains were matched with dental charts in January 1979, and once again identified by DNA provided by family years later in 2011.
Normal life never resumed for the Godzik family. John and Eugenia Godzik braved the murder trial together. The horrendous details of the young boys’ sufferings shook them to their core. Their oldest child, Eugenia, named after her mother, said her parents never recovered and attributed the stress and horror of her brother’s murder to their deaths. John Godzik passed away in 1984, and his wife died five years later in 1989 after succumbing to breast and liver cancer.
Now the sole living member of the family, Eugenia Godzik faced Gacy’s demise alone. She gathered with other victims’ relatives in the prison’s basement during Gacy’s execution on May 10th, 1994. Together, they sat huddled in the basement, where they anxiously watched updates on a television set.
″I’m glad he’s gone, but it’s never really over,“ Eugenia said when asked about Gacy’s death. “I don’t have anybody left. My brother is gone, and the whole incident really is what killed my parents.″
Although her little brother is gone, Greg is never far from her mind. Eugenia remembers as a typical teenage boy, one with a heart of gold and many dreams for his future. Greg greatly adored animals. Throughout his childhood, he had multiple pets, some of which were strays he took in from the streets. He enjoyed manual labor and the satisfaction of completing a difficult job. His most prized possession was a beat-up 1966 Pontiac. He spent hours working on it and much of the money he earned went to buying parts for it. Above all, Eugenia remembers him as an incredibly caring and sentimental boy, one who never left the house without kissing his mother goodbye. In her heart and in her mind, that is forever who Greg will be.
The Murder Of Edna Phillips
Introduction
When the Rossi family moved into the house next door to Edna Phillips, no one could have guessed that the toddler Maria Rossi would kill her neighbor when she got older.
Background
Edna did, at least in the beginning, have a good relationship with the Rossi family. She often took the little girl Maria out for walks, and there was definitely no bad blood between the Rossi family and Edna. However, the relationship became strained when the Rossi family received complaints from Edna about loud music and drunkenness from their house. As Maria got older, she became vicious toward the old lady. She threw stones at Edna, dumped trash in her garden, stole Edna’s money, smeared faeces on her house and even became viscous toward Edna’s dog, Chum. In 1987, four years before she got murdered, Edna begged to be moved to another house, but her request was not granted. Some time in 1992, Maria broke into Edna’s house, which resulted in her installing a burglar alarm.
The murder
Maria Rossi was no longer a little girl, but a cruel teenager. Maria had harassed Edna for a long time, but on 16 July 1992, she would go even further. Late in the evening, Maria and her friend Christina ’’Tina’’ Molloy, both 17 years old, saw Edna standing at her open door calling for her dog Chum to come in. The teenagers went up to her door and forced the old lady back into her house. Maria and Tina strangled Edna with the dog’s chain and slashed Edna in the face 35 times with a knife, a pair of scissors and a piece of broken glass. Edna were also stabbed 86 times, and the teenagers stamped on her chest which resulted in five of Edna’s ribs being broken. They also broke her nose and tried to scalp her, and then ended the heinous attack by breaking eggs over Edna’s body. The teenagers fled the scene, but not before they had taken Edna’s vacuum cleaner, radio and her money.
Trial and aftermath
Maria and Tina were arrested within 48 hours, and they stood trial on 8 March 1993. Both of them were sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum of 15 years incarcerated, but their sentences were reduced; Maria’s to 13 years and Tina’s to 12 years. It is not clear when Tina left prison, but she passed away in 2017 at her house. Maria was released from prison in 2010.
Scotland’s youngest killer: The Murder of Three Year Old Jamie Campbell.
Jamie Campbell, a three year old toddler was lured away from his grandmothers garden on the 24th of August, 1990 in Drumchapel, Glasgow by then 11 year old Richard Kieth. The toddler was then beaten with sticks and stones before being drowned in a burn in the Bluebell Woods, the site of another infamous Scottish murder. Jamie’s body was found lying face down over a large stone by a two woman, he has 14 wounds to his head and neck. Keith was cleared of murder in the trial of 1990 in Glasgow’s High Court however, after the four day trial in 1991 in Edinburgh on the reduced charge of culpable murder. His case was described as ‘sheer wickedness’ by Lord Sutherland and was ordered to be detained without limited time. Kieth was made to serve 8 years in a young persons institution for culpable homicide and was released in 1999 after a 6 month campaign by Campbell’s family to keep Keith in detention stating that “It has devastated our family, we are just not the same anymore. Yet here Keith is, not even 9 years down the road, just putting it all behind him and getting on with his life.” and “Keith is evil to the core and you can’t cure evil. I can’t bear the thought of him running the streets”. He now roams free to this day living with the same name and girlfriend, bragging about his crime. Before the trial, they had found out that Keith had attacked another 3 year old in Drumchapel with a penknife and beaten him weeks before Campbell’s murder.
The murder has been compared to the murder of James Bulger, where a 2 year old boy was abducted the boy from a Merseyside shopping centre, tortured and killed by two 10 year olds, Robert Thompson and Jon Venables 3 years after the Jamie Campbell case in 1993.
This wasn’t the families first heartbreak, Jamie’s mother had died in a fire when he was only 11 months old. The family of Jamie Campbell try to keep the memory of the toddler alive to this day so that he is not forgotten and have appeared on an episode of the Jeremy Kyle show. Jamie was been labelled as ‘funny’ and a ‘cheeky wee chap’ by family members.
17-year-old Kenneth McBride and 18-year-old Nicola Myers were a young couple studying at Island School in Hong Kong. They were both popular and well-liked, with Kenneth being the captain of the rowing team, a member of the debate team, and even the president of the debate team. Nicola had a keen interest in foreign languages, hoping one day to become an interpreter.
On 20 April, 1985, the promising couple decided they would take a romantic stroll in the countryside of Braemar Hill. They stopped at a bench and began to study for their upcoming A-Levels. At some point, they were approached by a gang consisting of 24-year-old Pang Shun-yee, 20-year-old Tam Sze-foon, 25-year-old Chiu Wai-man, 17-year-old Cheung Yau-hang and 16-year-old Won Sam-lung.
The gang later confessed that they had believed the couple to be wealthy, due to the fact that they were white. Having only one dollar, the couple defended themselves against the attack, which soon turned brutal. Kenneth was tied up and savagely beaten as Nicola was raped. The sadistic group then mutilated Nicola’s genitalia with a stick and broken bottle.
When their bodies were discovered, Kenneth had over 100 injuries on his body while Nicola had over 500. Both were bound and Kenneth was strangled with his own arm sling while both were repeatedly beaten with sticks. The beating was so severe that Nicola’s eyeball was hanging from it’s socket when they were found.
They were all found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment.

The evening of June 2nd, 2007 began as a typical night for 17 year-old Kelsey Smith. The teen went to a local Target store in Overland Park, Kansas shortly before 7pm that evening to buy an anniversary gift for her boyfriend. Before leaving the store, Kelsey briefly spoke with her mother on the phone. Then, Kelsey was seen in the store’s parking lot around 7:07pm. She never returned home and was reported missing by her family later that evening.
Around four hours after Kelsey was last seen leaving Target, her car was found abandoned in a Macy’s parking lot across the street. Many of her personal items–including her wallet, purse, and present she bought at Target–were left inside the car. Upon this discovery, investigators found it more and more likely that Kelsey had been abducted.
Investigators then looked at Target’s surveillance cameras for potential evidence. In the footage, Kelsey is seen exiting the store and walking towards her car. At first glance, nothing seemed unusual–but after a second look, investigators noticed a “flash in the footage heading in the direction of Kelsey’s car.” The flash was reportedly consistent with someone running. After looking more thoroughly at the footage, it became clear that somebody had chased Kelsey and forced her inside her own car.

This Golden Retriever statue commemorates the 9/11 rescue dogs. It was created from the likeness of the last living 9/11 rescue dog, Bretagne.
This is a statue to commemorate a brave little dog by the name of Leo, who died while saving a little 10-year-old girl who was being attacked by a much larger dog. Leo witnessed the little girl being pinned to the ground by the dog who began biting her. Leo immediately ran to the rescue and began biting the bigger dog on the leg who turned on Leo and let the girl go free. Sadly, Leo was killed.
The statue is located in a park in Serbia so he can watch over all of the children playing. There is a quote underneath that reads “To all small heroes with big hearts,” which is a true testament to the courageous nature of little Leo.
