Welcome to Cookie Run Kingdom: Another Ending AU!!
What is this AU about?:
CRK: Another Ending is an AU that changes bits and pieces of the Dark Enchantress Arc, with the main differences being that White Lily Cookie and Dark Enchantress Cookie become one once more, the Beasts go into hiding, and more.
What inspired this AU?
I would say sheer spite, but I still do love CRK, so instead, I just wanted to play around with the idea of things ending differently, and how things change afterwards. It’s essentially “fuck the canon, I control the bus”, but also “I’ve hijacked the bus but I’m still going under the speed limit not to harm anyone”.
Why did you make this side-blog?
I found it a bit unfitting to post them on my main. This will be for cutscenes I’ve made in Sixth Soul Jam for main points in the AU as well as drawings/sprite edits, and anything else that falls under this category.
This post suddenly vanished when I saved the draft, so I’m trying again.
So, some backstory: After a while, Golden Cheese Cookie finds White Lily Cookie avoiding crowded areas after meeting with the other Ancients. Once they get out of the public eye, they finally have a proper conversation.
I always found it interesting that Golden Cheese Cookie decided to speak with White Lily Cookie only after encountering Burning Spice Cookie, after spending the first cutscene musing on what to do after getting the news of her return. I decided to write it as her realizing that focusing on the past so much will do more harm than good, even if she does have the right to need more time to forgive her. It sucks that they never get the chance to in canon, but that’s what this AU is for, right?
I’ll elaborate further when I make the cutscene, but later on in the AU, Silent Salt Cookie will end up hunting the Beast Cookies for an entirely different reason.
Shadow Milk Cookie ends up becoming a writer later on because he finds the idea of writing these fun and intricate worlds and thinking about them very entertaining. When the Beast Cookies integrate themselves into Cookie Society (without anyone knowing their true identities yet), he spends about a few weeks workshopping a whole saga’s worth of books. He keeps reading them out loud with the pages near his face and it makes him realize he’s nearsighted in one eye, so he gets a monocle to wear.

After GingerBrave escapes the oven once again, he gains the Light of Bravery and the sword of Little Giant Cookie (as a passing of the torch gift). Being the youngest Cookie to have a Soul Jam, the Ancients are keeping a close eye on him, just to be sure he doesn’t crack under pressure.
White Lily Cookie, though the most concerned, is trying to approach this new development with a clear mind.

I was playing around with some ideas, most notably, White Lily Cookie’s main look turned from her default design to how she appears in Ep 12 of Beast-Yeast. Image 3 takes place during a celebratory banquet where PV’s terrible relationship with feelings is brought up.
Also, yes, Tiger Lily Cookie finally reunites with her sister in this AU!! I might rewrite it later to be a later event, but they will eventually meet, and they will eventually learn of her heritage. (And maybe the sisters will eventually bond over being more outdoorsy). Salt Cellar Cookie being a found family with Milk and Cream Puff was more workshopping, since she was initially with the Beasts’ Minions after they escaped the hotel and helped them smuggle their way to Crispia. I like the idea of having the Guild Cookies be friendly with her, but I gotta work on it more.
Dr. Bones Cookie is also canon, just because I want them to be.
In a post on my main blog pitching the AU, the idea is that they ran into hiding after Dark Enchantress Cookie’s defeat. But in summary for this blog:
While the Ancients (and GingerBrave and Ultimate Cookie) are gathering everyone who came to Beast-Yeast to leave, the Beasts are escaping from Silent Salt Cookie, who had 1. revealed to have betrayed them, and 2. had also essentially revealed to them that the lives of the other Cookies didn’t matter if he could get revenge for what they did all those years ago.
If you wanna learn more, read the rambling under the cut that reveals why this affects them so much in this AU, but quick tldr: after the events of One of Darkness Absolute, they are now a bit closer than before, and also believe that they cannot exist as they are now, so they hide themselves and their identities to live off the grid.
It messes them up very badly because in this continuity, Dark Enchantress Cookie used pieces of their own dough to help create the Ultimate Cookie’s body, and (though I haven’t figured this part out yet) could not leave thanks to her placing a kind of trigger inside their dough so they would not attack her should they ever plan to stage a coup. However, thanks to this, the Beasts have gotten closer due in part not being able to leave on account of their homes being greatly damaged, and thus have more respect for each other.
And on the shores of Beast-Yeast, Mystic Flour Cookie grills Burning Spice Cookie on why he suggests to leave Beast-Yeast entirely despite his usual dynamo attitude, and the reason is because they cannot get Silent Salt Cookie to change his mind. He decided that it was best for the one who holds the Light of Freedom to die to stop the war, and the lives of the innocent didn’t matter if he could get revenge and imprison them once more. Fighting back isn’t an option as he will beat them all like he did Shadow Milk Cookie when he was first confronted, so the second best idea is to escape Beast-Yeast and find their own place in this new chapter of life.
The minions return and suggest that they come with them to the homes they made in Crispia after they themselves escaped the hotel, since thanks to the Ancients (and the Elemental Cookies but from what I see they don’t DO much but deus ex rescue the Ancients so I’m gonna workshop their involvement a little more), they were able to get the upper hand in defeating Dark Enchantress, but they decline and tell them (Eternal Sugar Cookie and Pavlova Cookie most of all) to go out and continue to live their lives without them, and gives them their Soul Jams as a way to keep them out of Silent Salt Cookie’s hands. They go their separate ways and go out into the world that’s now rebuilding itself.
I’m not pinning the blame on Silent Salt Cookie, but I had this gut feeling that his own lust for vengeance was the catalyst for Dark Enchantress Cookie’s plan of becoming a Witch succeeding and all of Cookiekind nearly getting killed. There are other things that helped the Cookies of Darkness get as far as they did, but Silent Salt Cookie’s inaction to help the Beast Cookies when they had the idea to overthrow Dark Enchantress Cookie.
