I wasn’t asked to a single dance in high school and didn’t have a serious romantic relationship until I was 22. And like, yeah that shit hurt when I was younger. I had a lot of fears that I was unlovable and that I didn’t deserve to be happy. And every time I would try to talk to anyone about it, the conversation became, “you’ll find someone”, when it should have been, “you don’t need a relationship or a date, you’re lovable & complete & beautiful on your own”.
So yeah, please normalize young people not dating, and please stop shaming them for it. There’s more to life than romance, despite what the media wants us to think.

Some of y'all need to read this shit and understand it fully
one of the most toxic things i’ve ever done is ignore the bad in someone because i love them
nobody likes me so jot that down,
“pee your pants = kill yourself” discourse makes no fucking sense to me bc it raises 3 (three) questions in my mind
1. how the fuck did you come to that conclusion 2. if you have enough malice to want someone to kill themselves why the fuck would you say “pee your pants” like????? 3. why would anyone be genuinely upset about being told to pee their pants
kill your pants
Working at hot topic is so fucking surreal
I made this post because today two guys came into the store and one kept purposely referencing Rick and Morty, while the other had never seen the show and the first guy was trying to make it seem like an awful thing that guy 2 had never seen it and was thinking he was superior for knowing a bunch of useless facts about the show. Meanwhile guy 2 looked visibly uncomfortable. While his was happening, some girls were arguing saying “you can’t be a fan of supernatural if you’ve only seen 4 seasons”.
I felt like I was living out a fucking tumblr post and I’m only keeping this job to get a discount on jeans

What she says: Oh cool, they’re making a Mean Girls musical!
What she actually means: In the 2004 movie, the character Janis Ian had her reputation ruined by being called a lesbian. Instead of diverting this and examining homophobia against wlw in our society, ESPECIALLY homophobia perpetrated by straight girls/women, the movie/writers allows being called a lesbian to remain an insult, despite the movie being about high school bullying and prejudice.
However, now that Mean Girls is becoming a musical thirteen years later, this subplot can be rewritten by having Janis actually being a lesbian or bi. It only makes sense, since her only other friend is a Damien, who is presumably an outcast as well since he’s gay. Janis being gay/bi would not only strengthen their dynamic as two teens isolated by their peer’s homophobia, but it would also do very little to alter the A-Plot, since Janis only received a love interest at the end of the film due to hetero-normative expectations. The musical has a chance to redeem one of the weakest aspects of the original movie in a way that would only strengthen the message of the story and one of its most iconic characters, as well as adding some much needed WLW representation onto Broadway.
Damian and janis are mlm/wlw solidarity
YES. Also it makes sense since when Janis and Damian found out that Cady told the Plastics the “too gay to function” joke, Janis said that only she was allowed to say that about him. Gay friends making gay jokes about each other~
Me, Sitting in a darkened corner of the musical writers bedroom at 3AM: MAKE JANIS A LESBIAN THIS TIME U COWARDS
Writers: HOW DID YOU GET IN OUR HOUSE
