“I feel like I am so far behind in life that I will never catch up. Everyone is doing so many things with their lives. I am just here. Frozen. I have been a ghost for years. I wonder if that is all I will ever be.”

babygirl I can feel guilty in ways you can't even imagine
I absolutely hate to be that person but I’m really struggling and it’s so overwhelming
I wish it was socially acceptable to just lie down flat on the floor absolutely anywhere when the exhaustion just kicks in and you need to lie down for a minute or two.
“Listen to your gut”
My gut:
can pooping too much kill you
When you go ahead with the plans you made because you’re feeling good but your body has other plans in store.
I've been reading your blog and just wanted to say you are so brave, baby girl. I can honestly relate to you. For a long while, especially since September, I've been dealing with episodic abdominal cramping and nausea, etc. and I'm wondering now after reading your blog if it's Chron's Disease.. no matter what it is I'm scared to find out though and it's preventing me from getting medical help. When I tried in the past the results of tests were inconclusive so I don't want to feel stupid again.
Why thank you lovely I appreciate that. I hope you are doing alright. Don’t ever give up on finding out what’s wrong with you. It took several years for me to get properly diagnosed. I definitely understand how long and difficult the process can be. But once you figure out what’s causing those issue you are finally able to understand what’s going on and what can potientally help you feel better. Don’t feel stupid for wanting to take care of yourself and figure out what’s wrong. Your body is your home, don’t burn it down. Hope you are good girl!

Crohnie Insights: Get Comfortable
This is unfortunately as of now a disease with no cure which means we have it for life pretties so we might as well make ourselves comfortable. When you are in flare & feeling down about yourself because you know you’re going to be stuck in bed for weeks, maybe even months on end, GET COMFORTABLE.
Take the flu for example it makes you feel exhausted with an array of unpleasant symptoms but when having a Chronic Illness there is an emotional aspect too. Feeling sick on a regular basis makes it difficult to keep your spirits up, so buy yourself some new comfy Pj’s, or some fresh comfortable bedding or some pretty decor to brighten the mood. Being confined to a space for weeks to months on end becomes draining, mentally. Surround yourself with beautiful things.
Recently being confined to my room for the past several months has started giving me a new perspective on my illness. We can help ourselves by staying positive. As I said before it`s hard staying positive but a good place to start is in the home. When you are in flare your bedroom is going to be where you are spending 90% of your time so you might as well make it a nice place right? I recently saw a post on here that is posted on my other blog that said “never underestimate how much cleaning your room will unfuck your head.” & this couldn’t be more accurate. Make your space a happy one so instead of draining your spirits it’ll add to it. Don’t forget to treat yourself, the best person to know what you need in life is you.
An appropriate response to the ancient “at least you’re not dying” line:
Pretending to consider someone's bad medical advice
i’ve never been to hell but I have a chronic illness so that’s pretty much the same thing
living with ibs is literally like im allergic to food and can only have water
This.
