I love you characters who are bad people, I love you characters that make me think, I love you characters that represent what happens to a person if they make bad choices, I love you characters that make me scared, I love you characters who take out their problems on other people, I love you characters that dont get redeemed, I love seeing the dark side of the human condition

Thunderclan Warrior
oooooh okay….instead of the tribe. a kingdom/clan of scottish wildcats are forced from their home in highstones and come down to the moor….and they are called Tigerclan because scottish wildcats are often referred to as highland tigers….thus tying in the Tigerclan from the original series. hmmmm i like this a lot
originally i was gonna keep the clans’ origins the same but i don’t really want the tribe of rushing water (racist tropes galore) to exist at all in this story so. 🤔 think i might as well rewrite it all. these are the book clans by name and location only. even the location i’ve changed some it’s the same layout but it’s in the scottish highlands now. anyway
my friends neighbors cat wandering through their backyard garden
I feel like cannon Warriors humanizes the cats so much that there isn't very much of cats being cats. They have so many cool abilities like night vision and their whiskers and landing on their feet by twisting but it's not written at all. Sure they claw and hunt and purr but it seems to be missing key things that cats do. How can I incorporate them into my writing better?
This is an area which I also agree canon could play into more to give the series more depth! I have made a few different posts on realism in warriors here, here, and here, but there is so much more information out there you can use as well. I would recommend looking up information about feral cat colonies and how cats interact with each other, such as how feral mothers often raise kittens together. Ill leave a few charts with cat behavior and body language, because that tends to change a LOT about how characters are portrayed though it can be hard at first to translate human expressions to cat ones. Hopefully this helps!
