90% of all trans homicides are against transgender women and other transfems. Over 50% of those femicides are JUST black transgender women. Saying we all suffer the same, that we're all just fags in the eyes of the state, is erasing the very real issue of transfemicide.
so frustrating to be a skeptic with a sense of whimsy because like. I want there to be cryptids. I want there to be magic. its so neat that you have a story where a character finds a way to mend their relationship with another character and ends up seeing them as family after they earn their forgiveness! do you perhaps have a strained relationship with a parent
making the radical claim "11 year old children should be taught how to make extremely simple food" has resulted in people making arguments like "I wasnt allowed to plug in electronics until I was 16 and I think this is super normal actually" and "children dont know what ratios are so its unfair to expect them to be able to comprehend the idea of adding equal amounts rice and water to a rice cooker" and I gotta say originally I thought maybe I was being too judgy but now I feel very secure in my opinion because what the fuck

I can't remember who said it but I saw a comment or tweet talking about hypocrisy that essentially said The Hypocrisy Is The Point. hypocrisy is power. it's the ability to set rules for everyone else except you. and if power is a virtue then hypocrisy is a virtue. it's why you never really get anywhere with "by your logic..." or "then wouldn't that mean...". it's not that they don't realize they're being hypocritical. they do it on purpose to prove that you have to listen to them and they don't have to listen to you
