So.... @cryptotheism I saw @crypt-keep's art of your disaster White With Moth Man and well, had to draw him with my tiny Leaf Cutter Bee Girl.

The inspiration just slapped me in the face and I had to get it on a page and well, I drew your disaster so you should get to see it.

You might appreciate a fun fact about the Bug Folk my girl here is one of. Their bottom jaws open like green tree pythons, so they open vertically and horizontally.

life's been a little hectic honestly,, but in a good way! i've been moving countries to move in with my boyfriend and it's been quite a process,, if you've ever filled out any sort of visa application, i think you deserve a medal like genuinely

i haven't drawn seriously since like,, december though, so i'm really excited to get back into it!! i have lots of plans for gumy's blog and i'm looking forward to interacting with y'all again! :-)<3

All of these are beautiful amazing organisms that make the world more special. Mosquitoes didn't choose to be dangerous and not all species will even bite humans. It's also a 100% lie that they're ecologically useless, an absolutely frustrating misunderstanding by one dumbass news report.

Wasps are also more useful than bees and the "mean" ones are only being so defensive because they exist to protect the young with their lives.

Cockroaches are part of a natural cleaning service in almost every terrestrial biome and are even essentially "trying to do their job" when they become household pests; they evolved to eat the scraps and leftovers of other animals, and our houses happen to imitate their natural cave environment. They're like stray roombas obliviously causing problems.

1 am thinking abt the triassic cuddle once again and getting sad. The Thrinaxodon was in a torpor and wouldn’t have woken up before it drowned in the rain. The Broomistega was badly injured and dying. Neither of them ever actually knew each other but their last moments are curled up together and immortalized in stone Hggggm

The fossilised burrow they were found in cant be opened or it will ruin the bones so scientists can only X-ray scan it for images. They literally cannot be separated without destroying their remains they will sleep in there forever together ( <——-is so normal abt this)
