Just added six more dolls to the Resinsoul Customization Archive project! For anyone who hasn't been following the threads on DOA while it still stands-with a shutdown and eventual loss of the site imminent, I've decided to start cataloging all the different cool customizations Resinsoul is willing to do to their dolls. They're extremely unique in this aspect, and I love seeing how creative people get with it.

Still deciding on the best permanent way to take submissions for the page, but eventually there will be some sort of contact added to it so people from outside DOA can submit their dolls. In the meantime, if you're on Tumblr and have a cool special Resinsoul-done modification, I can be messaged.

Tried a look with TF Prime Soundwave vibes. Not sure I got there but I had fun putting it together. My galaxy light reflects off of him SO WELL. I barely had to edit these cuz I thought they already looked so cool.

Yay, I can finally show you Soundwave! Was waiting for that wig to arrive foreverrrr. But it's perfect! And yes, he stole Pu'er's antenna things but they suit him with this cool repaint. And of course I gave him a Shockwave so he's not lonely lol.

Man. I was going to reblog this last night, but couldn't even articulate my feelings. Still can't. I mostly lurk there these days (as I do everywhere) but DoA was such a huge part of getting into the doll hobby for me. I still check in every day.

I absolutely feel for the remaining moderators. I know people aren't always happy with how things have been run there, but having done a short stint as a mod myself, it's a lot of work done by a small group of volunteers, and I can understand wanting to move on after putting in their time for so many years. I'm glad they gave extended notice; it's very generous of them to continue running things for as long as they can.

I'd like to hope something can be figured out by August, but that may be wishful thinking.

In the event that the forum owner can't be contacted, I'm really hoping something can be figured out for a new forum (and that it lasts beyond a couple months.) DOA has been a lot of fun for me and has let me get ahold of a doll I likely would've never found otherwise. And Discord, reddit, and tumblr are terrible for in-depth discussion and making information accessible. Ugh, sad day for the BJD community.
