Pompeii got to enjoy his first nice day outside! He ate (safe) dandelions and clovers and basked in the sunlight.
I adopted Pompeii last winter. Because of improper care, he is severely stunted and can't use his back legs and needs extra care for the rest of his life. This is why we should always do thorough research on care requirements of any animal we take in. It's also important to stay up to date with the evolution of their care as it's improved too.
Pompeii had fun last night, chilling with me on my bed and watching TV until he fell asleep. He is a simple creature. Noms, TV, warm/soft things to snuggle in... And he's happy as can be.
Just in case anybody else needs cute in their life, Pompeii burrowed into his sling I made for him and decided to sleep there. I'm honored this little thing, who had a rough start in his life, trusts me enough to fall asleep on me in his sling. 💕
Frost Vale is settling in but our furnace went out during that polar vortex and all my aquariums dropped to mid-60s (Fahrenheit), no matter how hard their heaters were working. So now I’m fighting ich in two tanks, including poor Frost Vale’s tank.

But he got to try his first bit of bloodworms today! So he’s happy despite that.

Because of Pompeii's partial paralysis, he needs to be soaked every other day to help keep him regular. He hates bath time and usually spends the whole time huffing and trying to escape, but today he eventually relaxed and snoozed on my hand. After his bath, he relaxed on his towel and enjoyed some TV.
Pompeii likes to chill on the back of my futon in the evening sun.
He hated bath time, though.

So yesterday, I adopted this sweet guy!! I was told he is a year old. He's not nearly as big as he should be. So stunted, but he also doesn't have use of his back legs. This poor baby needs a lot of tlc and extra attention and he'll be given all that with me now. So meet Pompeii, everybody!
