Gsgw ships rant (contains spoilers)
braunsol for the toxic codependency that somehow seems to work. braun is by far a character that has spent the most time with kse, someone who's heard of his inner dialogues, his thoughts and feelings. The character that knows soleum most intimately. ...but does he understand him? This proved to be a struggle several times as Braun had different ideologies and values due to being a non-human entity. Soleum understands this very well and constantly reminds himself in attempts to detach in order to not get disappointed again. Braun not apologizing for his actions also proves that he does not think he was wrong in any way. What was a horrifying reality to Soleum was simply an entertaining show to Braun. Nonetheless, Braun IS a good friend and I believe he fulfils his duty very well (or at least, he thinks he does, lol). Their friendship was real and they do care for each other (Braun holding onto the plush doll, kse constantly thinking about what braun would say when he wasn't there). I really enjoyed their last scene at the end of part 2. Kse, cautious but also couldn't help asking if Braun was okay with things ending like this. Braun responding with the most host-like answer i could think of, really.
Moving onto Solsah, this has been THE ship for me. It's kind of a comfort ship because a lot of scenes with bsh and kse make me laugh a lot. Bsh is a very expressive character and it was quite enjoyable to see it through kse's perspective. It's also the fact that they keep encountering each other unexpectedly. Almost like fate. Them being roommates, somehow teaming up in the manor of the blind arc, meeting at the train to tarma arc, and let's not forget the jisan arc. Before Jisan arc solsah has been that fun ship but it really gained a layer of complexity after that. I think it's the only time soleum really let his guard down and was vulnerable. Sure, he was under the disguise of an agent but it was still vulnerable admitting that he wanted to die. It was also the same for Saheon. Jisan village was what tied him down and restricted him from freedom. Kse saw bsh at his most desperate moments and what he did as the agent was technically freeing bsh from what has confined him ever since a child. Now you can't tell me this wasn't pivotal for bsh. Ofc he didn't take an 180 degrees turn and become the nicest guy in the room but if anyone had a positive impact on him it was agent grapes. I kind of expected him to find out kse is agent grapes in a dramatic way but honestly I ended up liking how he just sorta connected the dots over time. Who would've thought viper, the greedy, selfish character would soften to the point that he'd be willing to give away his points for kse? His character development shines through his actions instead of words which did justice to his character and preserved his original personality. It's even more satisfying in part 3 where he's fully acknowledged that kse was the agent and kse dropping the act altogether. I'm really excited for what's to come.

what these two have in common is that they never fumbled (i'm looking at you choi, jk). That aside, they have this consistency and stability. Jaheon has always been such a reliable character. He may be mysterious but he's very straightforward and it's quite charming. And of course, there was also the iconic scene outside of the fox counseling room. (iykyk). Jaheon to me is kind of like this grounding force. He's very responsible and has always looked out for soleum. I prefer them as a platonic pair but nonetheless their dynamic is great. J3 too has reliable/comforting vibe to him. I see j3 and soleum more as friends. The kind of friendship where you don't need to say much but when you need them, they'll always show up. J3 looking for soleum after he went missing moved me so much. He never gave up on him. Both ships are possibly the healthiest dynamics for soleum in my opinion.
