Ok, so the Crystalbarrow Disciplinary Committee building is located in the upper town area and it’s situated in the town square where most of the traffic and shops are. It’s a two-story brick building and it has “Disciplinary Committee” in big ol’ red letters on it above the front door so YOU CAN’T MISS IT. The second floor of the office is actually a studio apartment but it’s been turned into a lounge room which MOST OF THE INDOOR PETS HAVE TAKEN OVER. Sometimes Seifer will crash there if he’s too lazy to make the trip to his tiny home in the lower part of town.

There’s also a bulletin board outside the building near the front door where missing people posters and other notices are pinned, either by the d.c staff or by the town’s residents.

And there’s also some animal pens and stables behind the building that house all of the outdoor pets.

The D.C is obviously there to keep the peace and enforce rules that will keep the town’s inhabitants safe (well they’re more like guidelines than anything else tbh 8|).

No wandering alone outside the town’s perimeter after dark, unless you’re a highly skilled warrior and have experience dealing with nocturnal fiends.

No fighting or sparring in the residential or highly populated areas.

Report seeing any wild fiends wandering inside the town.

Report any suspicious people or behavior.

Report any and all harassment.

No littering. Let’s keep Crystalbarrow a nice, clean place.

Don’t offer Vanille any more animals to take in. Please. I’m begging you.

CRYSTALBARROW is now Final Fantasy Tumblr’s common meeting area. We figured it would be easier for everyone to meet in a common place, but it is not an obligation to set your roleplay in this location and it is not part of a specific plotline. However a few quests to promote thread activity will be held in Crystalbarrow, so check out for those in the future!

Crystalbarrow is built on a mount and seperated in two — lower town and upper town. Both are linked by the waterfall and a long flight of stairs.The main attractions of the upper town are around the small lake. In the very center can be found a fountain made of crystal — the town’s emblem.

The lower part of Crystalbarrow is calmer and the perfect area for nature lovers. You can find the best crafted goods that the upper town cannot offer. There is a small river that is open for swimmers and fishermen alike. Historic buildings with stained glass windows can provide entertainment for some.

Feel free to invent your own stories and old tales involving the town. Use your imagination! You can pick up jobs, anything. Happy roleplaying!

His hands gripped the wheel, and then the music started up, and they were off. Seifer’s sense of competition kicked in almost automatically, and he turned the wheel as fast as he could.

"We’ll go faster than all those losers," he grinned over at Vanille, raising his voice over the sound of the music and the air whirling around them.

Giggling, Vanille kept up with Seifer's spins as the music started up. They had barely began and it already felt like they were whizzing right past everyone.

"You can count on it!" The Oerban sang as she turned as fast as she could. Pigtails flew and whipped at her face as they spun but she didn't even notice in her fun. "How fast d'you think we'd go?" she asked with a raised voice.

"You would pick one with hearts," he said offhandedly, moving along with the line as the people in front of them began to move up. He gave the hem of Vanille’s shirt a quick tug to pull her down from the railing.

Soon they were at the front of the line, and finally the employee opened the gate to let them pass and choose their teacups. Seifer made a beeline for the cup Vanille pointed out beforehand and quickly climbed in to ensure no one else would take it.

Vanille giggled at Seifer's comment, suddely letting out a surprised squeak when he tugged her to climb down. The Oerban did just that, her smile still as bright as ever.

She skipped along as the line moved and broke into a sprint alongside the boy as soon as it was their turn. The redhead plopped down opposite toward Seifer. She was a little curious if they could get a headstart and slowly turned the disc before the ride got started.

He groaned as he was dragged to the queue, which they stood in for a good 45 minutes or so before they came anywhere close to the front of the line. There were still several people in front of them, so Seifer leaned over the railing, watching the spinning teacups out of boredom. All of them were different from each other— some decorated with hearts, others clovers, and all were a vomit-inducing pastel shade.

"You got a preference?" he asked Vanille, wondering which cup she’d drag him over to when it was their turn to ride.

Seeing as the line wasn't going to move anytime soon, she climbed on the second bar of the railing to get a better look, shielding her eyes from the sun. "Hmmm..." Vanille's smile brightened as she looked at all the colorful cups. It made it hard to choose but even though they had plenty of time, she wanted to choose the right one, right away.

"That one! The mint green one with the pink hearts!" the Oerban chimed, pointing to the one she mentioned as a family twirled it round.

"As if I would," Seifer scoffed. He took a look at the line— and the sign where it ended, which read "Wait from this point: 1 Hour"— and threw a disdainful glance at Vanille.

"… Seriously?"

"It'll be worth it!" Vanille reassured. Despite what she said, she was just as restless at the thought of waiting in line. "C'mon now!" the Oerban insisted, tugging harder on the boy's wrist.
