like at least 50% of internet lgbt discourse would evaporate if people quit using the term "spaces" when they mean "discord servers" or "tumblr blogs" because we would collectively realize how stupid that shit is
“this is a lesbian-only space” no this is the tiktok comments on a chappell roan video
Moths are more efficient pollinators at night than day-flying pollinators such as bees, finds new research from the University of Sussex, published March 29 in PLOS ONE.
Amid widespread concern about the decline of wild pollinating insects like bees and butterflies, University of Sussex researchers have discovered that moths are particularly vital pollinators for nature.
Studying 10 sites in the South East of England throughout July 2021, the Sussex researchers found that 83% of insect visits to bramble flowers were made during the day. While the moths made fewer visits during the shorter summer nights, notching up only 15% of the visits, they were able to pollinate the flowers more quickly.
As a result, the researchers concluded that moths are more efficient pollinators than day-flying insects such as bees, which are traditionally thought of as “hard-working.” While day-flying insects have more time available to transfer pollen, moths were making an important contribution during the short hours of darkness.

HEY HOLD THE FUCKIN PHONE THEY’RE MAKING A NEW MONSTER CEREAL FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE THEY MADE YUMMY MUMMY IN 1988
A zombie was the only sensible choice considering modern children probably think about zombies more than all other halloween monsters combined. Glad they took the opportunity to also make a goth girl monster cereal. Finally I gotta say I don’t really like cereal much but caramel apple sounds better than all the other flavors and it’s even an actual halloweeny fall flavor. Makes me wonder why they never made a pumpkin pie one. I hope there’s an animated commercial to go with it but I don’t know if they really do those anymore.
Apparently this is also the first original cereal mascot to ever be a girl? Ever in a hundred years of breakfast cereal?? The only other instances have supposedly been licensed characters (like when strawberry shortcake got a cereal) or nameless animals (like when a cereal had a cartoon cow on it)
Also she’s canonically Frankenberry’s cousin
you never know where you’ll be in a year, so don’t worry too much about that. just work with what you have now, the good and the bad. we only have to go one day at a time.
“what are you a cop” is such a good mantra to live by and such a practical phrase. like yass girl don’t volunteer information to dubious individuals with an interest in using that information against you in nefarious ways
Nobody asked but I'm going to say it! Out of body experiences are highly overrated for most people. If you're just getting into astral travel or Spirit work or whatever you want to call it, that stuff I would say almost always comes much later down the line.
What you should focus on in the beginning is journey work and understanding your inner landscape before you venture outwards.
Even though I lucid dream, for years I was never able to travel anywhere outside of my own consciousness, and still really don't, unless a god or Spirit directly pulls me out of my body.
You can absolutely also be in your dreams, in your body, and have deep and meaningful experiences that aren't necessarily just your subconscious. The subconscious is very powerful! But you don't necessarily have to send your ghost out anywhere to have transformative and real spiritual experiences.
Imagery, god's, spirits, etc can end will show up in your dreams without you having to go anywhere.
I consider myself a fairly discerning witch. I check my experiences against my mental health baselines. I don't get swept up in divination spirals. I never assume something is a sign or a spirit right away. I know the difference between folklore and fact. Etc.
But when someone else's standard of discernment and groundedness requires that I treat magic as a placebo, act like spirits and the spirit world don't exist, or pretend to be a die-hard skeptic, that's just not something I have any desire to do.

On this day, 19 April 1943, the Warsaw ghetto uprising broke out in earnest when Jewish people fought back against Nazi attempts to deport them to the Treblinka extermination camp. 2,000 German troops and police backed up with tanks entered the ghetto with the intention of removing the surviving residents, and were met by around 750 resistance fighters with a small number of smuggled small arms and some home-made Molotov cocktails. They forced the Germans to retreat and come back with reinforcements. After several days of failure to overcome the rebels, the Germans began burning down the entire ghetto one building at a time. Despite this, the resistance managed to hold out against the onslaught for 27 days, killing around 300 Germans. While some fighters managed to escape through the sewers, 7,000 Jewish people were killed and another 7,000 eventually deported to Treblinka. Love that they put “a sense of impending doom” as one of the symptoms of a heart attack, like girl, that’s just how it is to be alive these days, you’re gonna have to be more specific
This made me chuckle but after scrolling away I felt the need to come back to it.
Because as someone who has felt this I can not stress how different it actually is from anxiety. Which is saying a lot because I have a massive anxiety disorder.
I've only felt this twice in my life - once when I was going into kidney failure due to an infection and again when my body was going into shock due to dehydration and malnourishment due to GI issues - and I can not stress how much it saved my life. It's hard to even put it into words. It's not like a panic attack, or anxiety. It is a horrific gut turning feeling of absolute dread.
Especially if you have anxiety you'll know the difference honestly. It's so much worse. It's every cell in your body and your brain screaming that there's something horribly wrong in a way you've never felt. It's your brain screaming out that you are going to die in a way no panic attack has ever done before.
I can not stress how important it is to get yourself to the ER if you feel this way. Especially if your having other physical symptoms.
This is amazing and incredibly helpful, oh my god. Thank you.
