My Art Store is Now Open!

After weeks of coming up with designs, I'm finally ready enough to launch! Thanks to ACGGOODS, I get to make my own merch! 1st drop is Inanimate Insanity themed! In time I'll expand to other fandoms, maybe even a few non-osc ones! I hope you guys enjoy what I provide, and it would mean a lot to spread the word! While Jack cornering Tapey about voting Lightbulb out and trying to pressure her into helping him was cruel, I do think he was right about Tapey needing to decide what kind of player she wants to be. On one hand, I get why she is struggling with coming clean about voting for Lightbulb-- she seems more scared of consequences than Jack is, and she is afraid of becoming the kind of person Jack is but I think she is also afraid of being put in the position he is in. Starfruit threatening to punch whoever voted out Lightbulb certainly did not help; I'm not blaming him for her decision because he can't read minds, and it is fair for the team to be on edge about someone voting for Lightbulb and then keeping it secret, since they like Lightbulb and it also means there is someone on the team they cannot trust, but... It Should be concerning that Starfruit's reaction to Lightbulb being voted out was deciding he would punch them out of anger. Starfruit's reaction, Tapey being so scared to admit she voted for Lightbulb, Paper being terrified of the prospect of being eliminated in the previous episode.. it's all obviously troubling. Elimination isn't a death sentence, and it is no longer an imprisonment sentence either, and yet the thought of being eliminated from a game that they still have the opportunity to rejoin using the points system makes some of them so upset..

Speaking of the points system though. One does have to compare Lightbulb to Jack in terms of their eliminated status. Even though they are both eliminated and everyone has to earn the same number of points to rejoin, their positions aren't exactly... equal. Lightbulb is liked or at least seen as a good person by many of the players, and that makes them more likely to want to help her rejoin than they would want to help Jack, who in contrast is seen as a game threat at best, and a danger to others at worst, and as Candle's quip to Jack back in episode 3 made clear, if the team an eliminated contestant chooses to help doesn't like them, they can prevent them from earning the points needed to rejoin with no inconvenience to themselves if they only make sure they don't come in first or last. If Tapey comes clean and is eliminated, as a new person and someone who betrayed the trust of her team, she would end up in a situation closer to Jack's than to Lightbulb's. From my point of view, it's no wonder Tapey not only failed to come clean but also doubled down and lied, pinning it on Starfruit by using her recordings.. Evidently it's a decision that clearly lacks foresight though, because her team Will figure out it wasn't Starfruit and when they do, it won't be long before they realise it was her, and it's worse for them to realise it after this point than it would have been for her to admit she voted for Lightbulb and risk immediate elimination in this episode, because now she has explicitly lied about what happened and made someone look worse to keep herself in the game. The way she used her recordings to do that would also certainly bring up the incident back in episode 4, where she played the conversation she had with Poppy on stage and made them look bad. Even though that really was an accident, it certainly won't seem like one to the rest of her team, when it feels to them like Tapey's attitude and her actions don't match..

Test video of a small animation im doin, gonna add more to this later but its my first time utilizing the NLA editor in blender! And its pretty cool once you get it! Fun fact: While all of the pieces of the rig is important into planes, the light flicker is frame by frame done in grease pencil! Then i attached it to a bone and parented that to the head.

sorry i was away for a while, got sick for a full week, still kinda am so i havent done ANYTHING so far... I did watch the new ii episode, and I really liked it! Had a fun time(granted I feel like im easy to please haha) but yea just a quick update on me, ill try to heal up fast!

Something I’ve been working on for a bit, an acrylic standee! My friend CheeryWanderer requested I make at least one Glisten item, and although I don’t draw Dandys much, I enjoyed making something she would like! And i hope you guys like it too!

uuuh so you know that one art i did of Suitcase having a more monster-y form due to shimmer energy? I always wondered what I'd do for my other favorite character, and last night since ive been so focused on making a merch store and other art responsibilities, I decided to unwind and draw something for myself, so here's a mutated Knife! I had a lot of ideas but I think the end product ended up being simpler and effective! Wasn't the intent but its cool for insect-y and mechanical he looks.

Ok so some notes, Overload Knife, like Overflow Suitcase(i came up w names for ease of reference), is once again one of those things where I was more inspired by a design rather than a story, so if anyone has their own ideas or is inspired to come up w something based off of this, I'm down. But here's some lil ideas/inspo I had when making this:

While Suitcases design was inspired by her hallucinations and fears, Knife's is a reflection of how he perceives others view him(w his interaction w Marsh and Apple in MeAfterlife sticking out to him a lot)

His theming is very much based off of those slasher monsters/killers who always somehow seem to defy reality to their benefit, able to get away or always having the upper hand. His "eyes" are actually hollow to look mask-y, and the orange-ish glow that lies inside is actually his true vision. His face is always static and the mouth doesn't move when he talks. Other inspirations was Frankenstein cuz death and being artificially made resonates w Knife's fears.

His bigger arm can morph into weapons/tools and oftentimes switches between the claw and a blade(similar to slasher movies).

I'm not sure if I would add additional back blades hidden underneath, but regardless the tend to lower when he calmer, and rise when riled up, like an animal trying to make itself look bigger lol.

One idea I had to play with characters themes is his consciousness and body are actually disconnected, maybe initially. His voice and thoughts don't reflect the actions his body is doing, and although he is aware of what he's doing he can't control his body. I wanted to give life to the idea that he feels like his more caring but powerless side and his destructive and reckless one can't coexist together(even though thats not how personality works lol). The new form further pushes his disassociation into reality, until/unless he's able to take control of his body and actually put in effort to keep his instincts in check.

The manifestation of shimmer powers would probs be a lil different than how Mephone or Suitcase would do it. His ability to create or alter reality would probably be more focused on himself, allowing him to be in more than one place/teleport/sense others/affect technology(again, like slasher movies/horror games) but he has created or altered stuff, probably created some crawlies that watch him. It's so subtle than initially he didn't even realize it was Shimmer energy affecting him.
