MY MOM AND I ARE UNEMPLOYED!!!

hey guys, so i've been unemployed for the past 3 months and finding a job has been a real fuckin struggle. i've got $74 to my name and, while i'm not in immediate financial danger, my mom also lost her job yesterday. this means that my dad is currently the only one in my household who is able to support us.

i understand that a lot is happening in the world right now, and that a lot of people are asking for donations and commissions who are in far worse situations than i am. but if you have the means, i would greatly appreciate it if you commissioned me or at the very least reblogged this post.

Carmen Graves was born into a black-italian family in 1905. Her grandmother had moved from Italy to New York where Carmen spent a majority of her childhood up until 16. Carmen moved to St. Louis, Missouri in hopes of starting a name for herself in her goal for fame. As Carmen hopped from place to place and party to party, she was visited by her Uncle who had told her she was requested by the family to become the head of their ‘business’ after the death of her father. In order for Carmen to stay in Missouri and give her family what they needed, she opened an establishment named “Carmen’s Swing”, which serves as a place to relax and hide from the judgement of the world. Carmen’s Swing serves as a work place for Carmen’s closest friends, one of which including Mireille (@tiny-hazard), who sings for the establishment. During Carmen’s time as a solo-act, she met Mitzi, who at the time had still been married to a then-alive Atlas. Mitzi and Carmen became close friends and still keep in contact today, as well as aiding in her alcohol-smuggling business. Carmen has become a prominent figure in the city’s pocket of crime which gives many businesses the protection it needs, that including Lackadaisy.
