Today was the day -- You were officially seeing Megumi again, after 3 years. You were going to see your (now ex) boyfriend. Of course you weren't too excited about seeing him again but you sure were excited about seeing Yuuji and Nobara again, you guys stayed in contact, although you talked to Nobara more than Yuuji.
"Honey, you ready yet?" Your mother yelled from downstairs. Your dad was staying in Philly but you, your 3 year old sister, nor your mother couldn't bare to see him any longer since what had happened.
You had came home from your friends house earlier than expected because of a family emergency, as you walked up your driveway you noticed a car that wasn't anyone's you knew. Your mom had taken your sister out on a grocery run, but your father worked from home.
You brushed it off thinking it was just one of your dad's coworkers. As you walked in the home, you noticed a pair of Louboutins. No one wears Louboutins in this home. You had thought to yourself, maybe it was just a gift for your mom from your dad.
You went up the stairs going to your room, you heard the shower on in your parents room. "Something's not right here" you had muttered under your breath. Walking into the room you were shocked at the scene. Unmade bed, clothes thrown, and a woman's voice that wasn't your mom's.
"Dad?" You had yelled out. He came rushing out the bathroom, thankfully clothed, shower still running though. "Yes honey?" He had said somewhat panicking. "Who is that?" You said interrogating him. "It's n-" he had been cut off by the now stopped shower. "Jere?" A woman yelled out stepping out the bathroom wearing a robe, your mom's robe.
You were shocked. How the hell could your dad have cheated on your mom? "Who the fuck are you?" You had yelled getting madder by the second. "Uhm, his fiancee. Who are you?" The woman had said confused, looking at your father. "I'm his daughter, you know he's married with another daughter who's only two?" You had said getting pissed. " [ name ] honey, please understand. Just don't tell your mother." You dad really had the audacity to say that? "No, my mother AKA your wife of 17 years has a right to know that you're cheating on her with a girl who looks barely older than me!" You screamed.
After what had happened, you told your mom. Thankfully the old house wasn't sold and it was in her name. So now, you're moving back to your old home, old school, old friends, and your old boyfriend.
"Mom, I'm scared what if Meg sees me?" You haven't said that nickname since the last time you and Megumi have talked. " [ nickname ] if he sees you, it's not the end of the world. He should've been more understanding in the first place." Your mom says, muttering the last part under her breath. "Mhm." You muttered silently.
You went back upstairs to pack your bags. While packing, you notice a shirt, it wasn't yours. It's not something you'd wear on a regular basis. It was Megumi's shirt. Of course you packed it, you're not leaving the only remnant of the love of your life.
After you finally came home completely jet lagged from 2 flights and 20 hours. You had ran up to your old room, seeing posters from your Arctic Monkeys and Lana Del Rey phase. You were obviously in your tumblr girl era. You went through the drawers, finding journals, old school shit, expired makeup, drawings, and.. a note?.. It was unopened, it was probably put there after you left. You opened it and read it in your head.
"Dear [ name ], Although I'm 1000% sure you will never read this, I'm sorry for leaving you crying, I'm sorry for yelling, for getting mad, and I'm so sorry for never giving you a proper goodbye after you left. You couldn't control leaving your home, your friends, and me. I hope you enjoy Philly.

Holy shit. He left a note and you didn't even read it. You're horrible. You tossed it back in your drawer and unpacked the rest of your things. After your were done you went on messages and texted Nobara
You opened the front door seeing Nobara. "OH HOW I MISSED YOU BEST FRIEND !!" She yelled hugging you tightly "Hii omg it's been 3 years holy!" You exclaimed hugging her back
A few hours later you guys were talking in your room laying on your bed drinking hot cocoa. "So... about Gumi.." She said placing her cup of hot cocoa down on the nightstand "Ugh don't even start on him." You muttered a slight undertone of disgust in your voice. "I don't know [ Name ], he honestly missed you. He didn't leave his room for like a week! Ji and I had to drag him out !!" She replied refusing eye contact. You'd thought back to the note you'd found earlier. "I have something to show you." you said Nobara, pulling a paper out from your desk, giving it to her. She had skimmed through the note, her expression changing through each sentence. "Oh my God? I remember he had said that he made something for you!" She had exclaimed. "Really?" You muttered.
Another hour had passed by until Nobara left. You weren't excited for school, you didn't wanna see him again. You decided to get ready for bed, brushing your teeth, braiding your hair, and getting into pajamas.
You finally laid in bed relaxed yet hours had passed and no matter what, you couldn't sleep. The clock had read 3:09 AM. You weren't gonna sleep for a while. Your mind kept thinking back to the note from Megumi. Does he really want me back?
You woke up from your annoyingly loud alarm, the clock reading 6:45 AM. You got up, got dressed, did your hair, brushed your teeth, and did your makeup. You went downstairs greeting your mom and little sister. "Hi Mom, hiii Des !" You said to them, patting your sisters head. "Hi honey, did you sleep well?" She asked making pancakes. "Yeah, it was better than my bed in Philly." You said taking a pancake and getting whipped cream from the fridge, sitting down and eating your chocolate chips pancakes topped with Reddi Whip. "You excited for school, cause I'm not gonna give you a ride." Your mom said, busy making her avocado toast and eggs sandwich. "It's fine, I'll just get Ji to give me a ride." You said finishing your plate and picking up your backpack.
You whipped out your phone to send Yuuji a text.
Not too long after, he arrived honking to signal that he's here. You got in the backseat next to Nobara who was behind Yuuji. You smiled and greeted them "Hi guys !!" You said excitedly closing the door and putting on your seatbelt.
"Hi [ nickname ] !!" Yuuji said before starting the car. "How are you guys oh my gosh it's been forever.. Well only like a day for me and Nobara but what about you, Ji?" You rambled not knowing you were talking fast and loudly.
"Uhm.. I'm good." He said quieter than before. He glanced at the passenger seat, giving an almost apologetic look to the person next to him. You looked over and saw... Megumi.
