Some say Grimms sense emotions better than they sense anything else. Maybe. Who knows? Well, Grimms probably do, but not any humans, or at least not any human that would be willing to share the information. Torn and bloodied clump that rolled out of small emergency doors, presenting nothing but a tangle of torn shreds of material that still was mostly white, was basically made of determination and fear, but clouded with something else. Steel-like composure keeping roaring adrenaline and everything else until firm and heavy controlling grip.
“Shit.” Mumbled the clump between labored breaths and pained groans, untangling itself into two man in still smoldering clothes, connected in tight embrace as one pulled the unconscious one out of the wreckage.
The man lifted gaze and froze, blue eyes wide at the sight of an unknown species of Grimm right in front of him. Instinctively he tightened grip around his partner as to shield him. For a moment the only sound was heavy breathing of the man that didn’t dare to move now and cracking of the fire still roaring inside the cockpit.
Was it even a Grimm? It didn’t attack yet and it could have quite easily during entire time when General Ironwood was too busy getting himself and his pilot out of the jet. Brothers, with their auras blown out, this thing wouldn’t even need to put effort in killing them. And it just… stood there, staring back. At least for the moment.
“What-” Wait. Is he really trying to talk with a Grimm?
Sweet Brothers’ buttcheeks, he must have hit head harder than he thought. Well, on his behalf, everything felt quite hazy and he wasn’t entirely sure if that creature wasn’t imaginary.
Oh, that was curious.
There was a moment of silence following the rumble of the human- no humans!- tumbling out of their sky ship. Glowing red eyes staring back into frightened blue, before a charcoal black hand lifted. One claw carefully pushing a lock of dark hair over the human’s forehead back with the rest.
Though, given the man’s condition, it didn’t do much good.
Leaning over the pair, the grimm leaned into the ship. Eyes scanning the wreck a moment before settling on the fire.
Anything worth looking at would be destroyed soon, but humans could also be destroyed by fire. Despite how many of them seemed to like it.
Which was, of course, a problem.
A (human’s) heartbeat of internal debate was really all it took for the creature to make up it’s mind.
Pops and cracks sounded above the pair, as the creatures limbs shifted and twisted, so it could more easily shift from two to four limbs. The blue eyed human was holding tightly to the other, so oh so carefully, the grimm bit the white material of the human’s shirt and began to retreat. Dragging him away from the wreck until it decided they were safe from any spreading flame.
