Before coming to the towers, Hawk was expected to have his tattoos covered at all times because of the image he was supposed to convey as a Barberi Heir. It didn’t keep him from inking his skin every now and then, though…
His first tattoos were the Spades and Clubs pairing on his right wrist and the little Poison Bottle on his right Achilles’ Heel. They were a decision made in the middle of a night out with Aron before Senior Year and luckily enough, they managed to find a parlor open to get the job done. And considering the final result, he decided he’d make more at some point.
One month prior to graduation, Hawk was walking into another parlor with a bolder design in hand. One that took weeks to settle for. And a little graduation gift, from him, to himself. Paid by his father. It would take time. It would demand more care than the three others. But Hawk didn’t care. He just wanted that one done by graduation since it started by his left v-line and around the left hip, developing all the way down to his ankle and covering a good portion of his left ass cheek. To this day he still stops in front of a mirror and find himself admiring that piece of art and how amazed he’d been at Aron’s skills when he first finished the raw design and then the tattoo artist and her awesome work. If he were to say he had a favorite tattoo it would be That One.
The Owl and Clock on his chest and shoulder made in London
The Compass on the inner side of the bicep made in Barcelona
The Little Wolf at the lake on the outer side made in Dublin
The Phoenix in the inner side of his forearm made in Paris
And finally, the Tree, on the outer side of his forearm, in Madrid.
And then there was the Flock of Birds flying up his right ribs. That one was made in Toronto, in the first winter break they went through in college.
