His hands trembled a bit much for such a simple task as removing a glove. It was more than that to Tir .. it was gazing upon the thing that had devoured the souls of his closest loved ones .. and in return had given him agelessness and power enough to save his country. It was risking someone finding out that such a thing existed and hunting him to the ends of the earth to take it from him and unleash its power ..
Wait .. why am I takeing this risk? Why show it to some random shop keep?

The word friend dripped with irony and spite has he removed his glove to reveal the Soul Eater Rune. The Reaper shaped sigil pulsed against with murderous intent toward all that drew breath.. more than anything it wanted to be used it wanted to kill

This had a simple answer .. he held up the bandaged hand that bore soul eater and spoke something only he ever truly understood .. and made damn sure to tell no one else..
