Schrödinger's cat
Another apologetic smile found its way onto the girl’s face. Sure she was feeling hungry, but the excitement of seeing Kyo made her forget. Of course she wouldn’t say it if she was too excited to remember! But, it was just like Kyo to say something like that, Though, a quiet, small laugh escaped her lips when he rested his fist to her forehead.
Tohru nodded at the other, and let out a cheery, “You’re welcome!” It really would be simple to just go home and make some more food if she was still hungry afterwards, and Kyo might even go with her so it could be kind of like eating back at home! Though, the table would probably feel empty without Yuki and Shigure there…
It might be good to change the conversation topic before she got sad about not being at home again! What was a good thing to ask? She was sure she could probably ask about Kyo’s experience in the city so far, but maybe she should ask something else first… Ah! She was so used to living with Kyo that it completely spaced her to ask where he was staying! Maybe they were even in the same sector! That would be exciting!
“So Kyo, where are you staying?”
Even if they weren’t in the same sector, it wouldn’t stop her from visiting him a lot. Maybe she could even get him to enroll into school with her! That would be fun, and then they could study together! Tohru couldn’t help but let a big grin spread across her face.
[Kyo looked at the rice ball as if reminding himself of that tale she had once told them about and then took a bite out of it. Luckily enough, he just managed to swallow what he was eating when Tohru asked where he was staying because he suddenly went stiff as a cat caught doing something unwanted.]
Ehhh....
[What would it be best? If he told her, she would undoubtedly worry about his current state but if he didn't, she wouldn't have to worry about him and just stay in blissful ignorance. Kyo didn't want to make her worry but he didn't want to lie to her either so he was feeling conflicted on what to do and after thinking it through, he sighed and decided to tell her the truth.]
Well you see... apparently I'm living not far from here...
In a cardboard box...
[It sounded like some kind of joke but it wasn't thanks to the scientists that ran this place. What reason could they have to just bring people in and then toss them in cardboard boxes, he didn't know, but he Kyo was sure mad at them for playing with people's lives like this.]
Schrödinger's cat
His smile was enough to bring a bit of blush to her face. If she hadn’t already been smiling, she would have been now. Seeing Kyo smiling was something she loved, because it was nice to see him so happy. It was also a way that she knew he must trust her, because he didn’t seem to smile around others like this. It was truly a wonderful thing, his smile.
Tohru looked a little apologetic when he made this comment, because she realized that she probably should have worried about herself too. But her mind always wandered back to home, and to the people she cared about. They came first, and if they were happy, she was happy! Of course, she didn’t know if they were happy back home when she couldn’t see them, but she figured if they were home they must be alright. So she’d have to pull through so that some day she’ll return to them. Though, now that she knew Kyo was okay, she felt much more at ease.
The young girl stared at Kyo for a little while longer, still taking in the fact that he was here. It was just so wonderful to have a friend here now, and she wouldn’t be alone. It was truly wonderful! She was so happy… As the thought of how happy she was crossed her mind, her stomach let out a little growl. Must be a reminder that while she may be happy, her stomach wasn’t! It also reminded her that she was still holding her rice balls! Unwrapping them, she grabbed one and held it out to Kyo. He might have already eaten, but she’d feel rude if she kept them all to herself.
[It was funny how this girl was able to make Kyo smile whenever she was around and he himself didn't know yet why himself but he was grateful he was able to spend time with her.
For unknown reasons he found himself in this weird place against his will but if he could be near Tohru, it might not be so bad after all, that's how he felt for the moment. Then suddenly the noise of her stomach made Kyo back to his usual self.]
If you are hungry say it, you dummy.
[Kyo rested his fist against her head as if to giving her a light bump as "punishment" for once again waiting to say little things like her being hungry. She was always like this, she would even try to clean up the house or cooking while having a fever. Truth be told, he was also hungry but he had nothing with him so he couldn't even offer a meal at all and then she took out riceballs. Funny how she picked those out of anything she could've picked. Still, he couldn't refuse her kindness so he shyly accepted it.]
For me?
Thanks...
[He wondered if she had really made enough for her too or if she was already doing it again and putting others before her.]
Schrödinger's cat
Relief and happiness rushed over Tohru when the other turned around to reveal that yes, it was Kyo! He had also been taken from home, and for that Tohru felt horrible, but he was still here with her and she couldn’t mask the happiness that brought her. She wouldn’t have to be alone here with people she didn’t know, she’d have Kyo by her side! Tohru lost her trained of thought though, when Kyo jumped up and held her face in place.
“N-No, they haven’t done anything to me!”
The girl wanted to ask Kyo if he knew how and when he’d been taken from home, but she felt that he would have the same answer she would. That no, she had no idea how or when she was taken; all she knew was those scientist took her to be a part of a social experiment. Pushing those thoughts aside, Tohru focused on Kyo, and the fact that he really was here in front of her.
“I’m so glad you’re okay, Kyo. I was so worried about you and the others back at home.”
[Relief could be seen in Kyo's face as she reassured him of not being harmed until now and he finally let go of her face.]
I'm glad to hear that.
[A moment of relief that made him drop his usual though guy act and he smiled truly since as long as she was fine, he could cope with whatever hardship he was faced with in this place.]
Y-you dumb girl, always worrying about others before you...
[Of course he was utterly happy to hear that, but he couldn't openly show it, specially since he was always like this when it came to her. Even if she was sad, she would put others before her and Kyo couldn't accept that she did that since she was special to him. If possible he'd want her to smile for herself too instead of for others. If he could help a bit to achieve that, he'd be content with that since he owed Kyoko that much at least, at least that's how he felt.]
Schrödinger's cat
Today was the day that Tohru decided she was going to track down the high school and enroll herself for classes! While she would still need to get a new part-time job, getting into school was her top priority! She had to be able to keep her promise to her mother, and was determined that even though she was taken from her home, she would still keep her promise. Though she had been wandering around for quite some time, Tohru stayed determined that she would locate the high school. It had to be around here somewhere…
After a while Tohru’s legs began to get tired. It wouldn’t be too bad of a time to take a little break, seeing as it was around lunch time. She didn’t have a bag with her, but she had made a couple of rice balls to snack on and had them wrapped up. She’d been carrying them in her hands, and it helped to keep her hands warm. Looking around to try and find a bench, she noticed something…
That familiar hair color… It couldn’t be… or could it? Before she even had time to think about what she was doing, Tohru found herself running towards the bench. Had they really taken Kyo away from home, also? It would be pretty embarrassing if it wasn’t Kyo, but Tohru was so badly hoping someone she knew might also be here. Not that she wanted them to be here exactly, but she wanted to see them so that she would know they were okay. She made it, a little out of breath, to the bench. She managed to at least get his name out.
“K-Kyo?”
[It was a pretty common noise, the sound of footsteps running all over the place as he was sitting with head opposite to that direction so Kyo hadn't payed mind to the sound that stopped right behind him as he thought it was just another kid that had strayed up to him when the sudden yet familiar voice reached his ears. As if to react to not only the familiar voice he longed to hear, but this voice was also calling his name, he wondered for a second if he was just delusional out of hope already or if his ears weren't deceiving him so he slowly turned around and when his eyes confirmed what his ears had made him believed, he jumped back from the bench onto his feet.]
Y-y-you!! Why are you here too?!
Did they do something to you?!
[Before he knew it, he was holding Tohru's head in place out of concern as he checked her face first to see if she didn't have any sign of being mistreated in any way but she seemed pretty ok aside from the visible fatigue of having run to where he was.]]
Schrödinger's cat
[Kyo had no idea how or when was he taken out from his house and why was he taken to this site and he didn't like it at all. True, this meant he was not bound by Akito anymore but he felt uneasy and alone. Back there he at least had people he could recognize as friends, even if he would never openly admit it and more importantly, there was Tohru.
Aside from the fact he was thrown into what these people called a "social experiment" Kyo was dumbfounded when he was left in what was supposed to be his new "house".
A box.
How was he supposed to live in a box? One thing was having his future sealed by having to live into a dark room for the rest of his life but living in a box? Well, apparently there was no escaping that fate of his now so he was going to have to get used to it sooner or later.
Annoyed, he had gone to a park and was lying on a bench with his face against the bench since he didn't want to see the people passing by and sighed loudly.]
What the hell's wrong with this place?...
[He couldn't care less what their reason was for taking him to this place and what was more regretful was that he could not see Tohru again. That smile of hers was enough to brighten his mood and he wondered if he would ever be able to see her again.]

Lilly sensed the unspoken statement from Kyo’s response and sighed lightly. It was a common question about practically everything Lilly did. The answer usually didn’t vary much either.
“Anything can be difficult without enough practice, but I get by just fine.” She replied quietly, trying not to be rude.
Heh... is it like that?
[However he saw it, Kyo couldn't imagine how it would be to learn to cook without being able to see but then again, that was just what he knew and things aren't always like one think.]
Well, if you live by yourself I guess that must be true.
[He chose to believe in her words since there was no sign of anyone else living with her so she had somehow managed on her own and that was enough for Kyo to be impressed, although she wouldn't know that.]

Lilly laughed slightly. “No, my baking isn’t as good as this. A friend of mine made them for me.” The blond smiled and removed a cookie from the tin for herself.
“I don’t do very much cooking while I’m at school anyway. I practice when I visit my sister’s place.”
[Her response sounded like she actually could cook and then she affirmed it herself so it was still a wonder how she managed to do so.]
Oh, isn't that kinda difficult?
["Given your state" was what he wanted to say but thought that phrasing it that way might be rude, even for him so he couldn't help but wonder how did she manage.]

Lilly smiled and nodded. It did feel a little strange to invite a boy she’d never met before into her room like that, but it seemed like he was troubled by the other girls. Lilly felt that Kyo was safer in her room than trying to escape the doom without being questioned.
She crossed over to her dresser. She felt around for a moment before her fingers found a small metal container. The blond girl pried the lid off the canister and offered it to her guest.
“Have one. They’re quite good.”
[As Kyo entered the room, he noticed how plain it was for a girl. Then it hit him that the girl living in this room was blind and she had no use for things that didn't serve a purpose other than being of use. He felt a bit weird since he didn't know Lily really but being in her room was proving to be better than being outside. He looked how Lily navigated through her room and she moved fairly natural for a blind girl so he thought maybe she had gotten memorized her room already because she didn't take long to bring the promised cookies.]
A-alright. I'll do that.
[Kyo was a bit stiff still but reached out for one of the cookies and brought it into his mouth. The taste was quite good but being bad at niceties, the only thing he could come up with was a neutral comment.]
They aren't bad. Did you make them?
[Probably a dumb question but he asked it anyway and he would be really impressed if that was the case.]

“You could come inside if you like. You don’t have to stand in the hallway.” Lilly stood up and crossed over to the door, gesturing for her guest to enter her room.
“I’m afraid I’m all out of tea for the moment, but I have a few cookies I could offer you.”
[Kyo felt a bit nervous to be in a girl's room specially since he knew next to nothing about this girl besides her name, but between accepting her kind gesture and venturing right now into the hallway, her invitation was more acceptable.]
W-well, but only because I have nothing else to do in any case.
[He closed the door behind him and walked in, the feeling of all those stares on him going away and allowing him to relax a bit.]

The young man’s reaction caught Lilly off guard. “Oh, I’m sorry. I just assumed you had joined the student council recently. I don’t attend the meetings anymore so I didn’t know.”
There did seem to be quite the influx of new people around Yamaku lately. Lilly was pleased to be running into so many new people.
“It’s nice to meet you, Kyo. My name is Lilly Satou.” The blond stopped herself and laughed.
“I guess you already knew that part.”
Nah. I don't like paperwork in any case.
[Why would he waste the little freedom he had by worrying over papers that didn't mattered to him after all? His only concern was defeating Yuki in order to be free and now he wasn't able of even doing that here.]
It's alright. I only knew because of the name tag on the box.
[Kyo thought that maybe he'd been intruding for too long and maybe it was time to get out. He had done what he had come to anyway.]
I guess I should leave since the stares from the girls outside are freaking me out.
Open rp
Lilly looked confused. “Strange. I don’t recall ordering anything.” She ran her hands over the packaged that then young man had placed in front of her and recognition spread across her features.
“Oh, these must be the attendance reports for this month. Thank you for bringing them…” Lilly paused briefly.
“I’m sorry, but I’m I’m afraid I don’t know who you are. Are you new to the student council?”
[Given her first reaction, Kyo thought he had been tricked and he was about to start cursing his luck when she seemed to have remembered what might be in there.]
Me? Why would i be in the student council? I was just sent by some teacher who didn't seem to want to do their own damn job.
[Of course, he could've just tossed aside the package since it wasn't his problem but his own conscience wouldn't have let him sleep at night.]
I'm Kyo Sohma. You could say I'm new to this place.

Lilly turned in the direction of the voice in her doorway. It sound familiar or even female for that matter, but she decided not to swell on it.
“Yes, I’m Lilly. How may I help you?” She smiled brightly.
[It didn't take a bright mind to realize the girl who was inside the room was blind and Kyo didn't want to be rude and ask about it so he went on with what had brought him there.]
Ah right. I was told to deliver this box to you.
Apparently something you had ordered.
[Forgetting she couldn't see his actions, he shrugged and with light steps, he put the little box in the small table of her room.]
