Opened this letter we received at the office. 1st reaction: "Ahh I'm not religious but this is really sweet" *Flips to other side* 2nd reaction: "Damn that got aggressive real quick" 😐 3rd reaction: "if this was about Islam Fox News would be snappin' "

Graduation. Now What?
5.10.2016
Four summer marketing internships. President of the Georgia State Chapter of the American Marketing Association. A resume that had been reviewed by numerous professionals. One degree in Marketing from Georgia State University, a reputable school. I was convinced that I had done all I could to not be the millennial in the Buzzfeed video talking about not being able to find a job in their field. I graduated in May 2015. I had applied and interviewed for jobs consistently from January 2015 to mid-December and still couldn’t get a job in marketing. The “No’s” were variations of the phrase “You don’t have enough experience for our entry level position.” In my mind, there was realistically nothing else I could have done to snag a job in marketing. It was demoralizing to get my hopes up and then have them smashed back down on numerous occasions, all while living off numerous part-time jobs that got me through month to month. Eventually, I snagged a full-time gig where I thought I would definitely never end up: in a grey cubicle, wearing ill-fitting business casual, altering the way I talk to sound as PC and professional as possible, and having my most interesting conversation of the day be about the weather. I felt as if I was a failure. That was until I found a new passion. A new field, which was tech, specifically web development and UX/UI.
