Food intake today: B- two hard boiled eggs, chobani yogurt, belvita crackers S- clif bar L- banana, pineapple, peach, mango and vanilla yogurt smoothie D- salad with chicken, carrots, onions, croutons, and broccoli with lite ranch dressing. Not pictured: wheat roll D- brownie brittle (ugh I'm obsessed!!!)
It’s too nice out NOT to go for a run. I’m going for a run. I will go outside and soak up the sun and enjoy this breeze!
Food intake today... B- scrambled these eggs with coconut oil & topped them with cheddar cheese with a side of sliced mango and chobani banana/dark chocolate/slivered almonds yogurt L- leftover coconut curry with veggies, sautéed chicken, and brown rice S- quest bar D- black bean burger with side of fries Dessert- brownie brittle Ok ok I could've done without the fries and brownie brittle but whatever I'm not perfect haha
Day 1
Day 1 of my healthy lifestyle “reset”. I fell off the bandwagon many many months ago and it’s time to get it together. I decided to take pics of everything I eat today again so that will be posted later on!
I attempted to take my dog for a walk today. She was so excited to go outside and then like 30 seconds into our walk she just turned herself around and headed back towards my house (she’s a chihuahua and I don’t leash her b/c she’s so small and stays right by my side). So I picked her up and put her back to where we were and tried to keep going but she again turned around and started heading home. So I brought her home... it was weird, she usually enjoys her walks!
Then I decided to go running. Good lord I am out of shape. 2 miles of sloooow jogging. Mostly walking, actually. The inner hypochondriac in me is freaking me out too, because I convinced myself I was having chest pains during this all. And I still am, now, having this weird dull ache in my chest where my left boob is. I hate this. I’ve already had multiple EKGs done in the past, took a stress test, and have had X-rays and ultrasounds of my heart and every doctor has detected nothing wrong with me. They just say it’s my anxiety. But it’s the worst feeling ever.... not painful but scary. I hate when this happens!!! Argh
Boyfriend just left today for Europe for 3 weeks so I’m very sad :(
Eating away my feelings... but re-starting tomorrow. I promised him I would spend this three weeks apart being productive and doing things to better myself. So, with this new “free” time, I’m going to start running again on nice weather days and hitting the gym. Also will probably pick up some extra shifts at work so hopefully I’ll be spending less and making more! Ugh I want to fast forward these next 20 days so badly. How do long distance couples do it? We literally spend so much time together so this is really hard!
Decided it would be fun to photograph my day of eating. I told myself I would take a picture of absolutely everything I ate today! It was kind of fun haha B- pecan granola cereal with whole milk and banana S- quest bar & dark chocolate salted caramel L- whole wheat wrap with chicken, pico de gallo, beans, salsa and sour cream plus side of chips and guac S- flaxseed crackers D- lazy dinner aka rice cakes topped with peanut butter and raspberries, plus baby bel light cheese and Brie cheese with triscuits and side of mango There you have it!
Random, but...
I’m know I’m late to the party, but I just joined the Nikki Blackketter fan club. Watched one video of the girl and loved her immediately!
Food intake for today:
B- pancakes made from blue corn and blueberries, topped with berries & a dollop of mascarpone + black coffee + mimosas (I met a friend for brunch at this amazing restaurant)
L- salad with tomatoes, corn, black beans, cheddar, and lemon grilled chicken with a small bit of peppercorn ranch dressing
D- wheat wrap with sesame-crusted tofu, hummus, avocado, corn, and black beans
S- chocolate protein bar
Just realized I ate a ton of corn today lol
Posting my dinner from tonight because will you just look at how colorful and beautiful that salad is
Today’s intake!
B- pecan granola cereal with 2% milk
L- roasted chicken and steamed broccoli
S- earth balance cheddar puffs + an almond milk chai tea latte
D- black bean burger patty salad with mixed veggies and balsamic dressing + whole wheat pita on the side
It’s officially spring and yet it’s still cold and all I wanna do is go running outside! ugh!
Yesterday's intake! B- quest bar (yes that's all I had in the house😔) L- mango kale smoothie, broccoli poppers (these are like kale chips but with broccoli) S- pita, homemade hummus, cheese, roasted red peppers D- wheat pasta with lean ground beef, tomato sauce, onions, peppers and a dollop of ricotta, plus a couple pieces dark chocolate and glass red wine for dessert
Today’s intake!
B- two eggs over whole grain toast with ham plus side of baked beans
S- quest bar
L- large peach, mango, banana, orange, yogurt smoothie
D- no bun turkey burger topped with swiss, avocado, and bacon plus side of sweet potato fries
S- chocolate protein bar, baked chips
Yesterday’s intake:
B- two eggs over a slice of whole grain bread with ham + a banana, strawberry, orange juice smoothie
L- pan-seared chicken over arugula & onion with lemon, oil, vinegar dressing
D- whole grain pasta with spicy red sauce and ricotta cheese and chicken
S- coffee chocolate chip frozen greek yogurt bar
Trying to get my eating habits back on track and cut out all of the junk and sugar!
Yesterday’s intake:
B- mango kale smoothie
S- whole grain pita slices and a chai tea latte
L- black bean burger salad with veggies and balsamic dressing
S- quest bar
D- wheat wrap, turkey, american cheese, lettuce, onion and bbq on the side for dipping
