I made a big jackalope as a personal project, went more clay in this one than I anticipated. Still love him though.

The lined paper blanket is finally done! It’s made to scale of a college ruled 8.5inx11in piece of paper.
No pattern used, it was entirely self drafted. This took me about 3 months to complete, working on it on and off. I probably put around 80 hours into this blanket so far, but that’s just a rough estimate.

4 - Bigfin squid, Magnapinna sp.
One of the largest and deepest-living squid genera, spooky photos of these guys have become fairly internet famous, including a truly enormous number of clickbaity youtube thumbnails about creepy unexplained ocean mysteries.
It might seem kinda weird that their name focuses on their big fins (Magnapinna literally means big ear as well) given their bizarre and unique "elbows" with long arms dangling from them, but that comes from the fact that their much smaller juvenile forms are the only physical specimens we have. The juveniles have short elbow-less arms and were discovered and named long before the first sighting of adult Magnapinna, so the big fins were very much the most distinctive feature!
It's widely accepted that the big elbow squid in deep-sea footage are the adult form of the juveniles, but since we have no physical specimen we can't actually be fully confident which species of Magnapinna the adults belong to.
TIL this image is a real picture of SQUID

CRAB CRAB CRAB
This was my first time working with leather because I got a burning desire for a bag shaped like a horseshoe crab. It has two zippered compartments, and an adjustable strap so it can be worn at my side as a cross-body bag or on my back more like a backpack.
