A strange new hybrid species has been seen in the Flooded Forest and Misty Peaks…

The Researchers call it (Royal) Lagiaroth, an oddball combination of a Royal Ludroth and a Lagiacrus, thought to be rare mistakes during breeding season of Royal Ludroth Eggs being fertilized by male Lagiacrus.

This monster defends its territory by sliding on and within the rivers and lakes, electrifying the waters around it and in the sponge-like material it has along it’s neck and back. When soaked and electrified, this monster will body slam and crunch into opponents relentlessly, leaving some nasty thunder damage and potential paralysis!

They tend to live around areas where Ludroth do not have a leading Royal Ludroth, leaving researchers to speculate they either feed on Royal Ludroths, or take on a similar yet more detached role as one.

It’s been found to be less potentially friendly with it’s other half of its lineage however. Lagiaroth and Lagiacrus have been documented having turf wars within rivers and small lakes, unable to cohabitate peacefully even with abundant food supplies. Despite Lagiaroth’s unique adaptations, Lagiacrus usually win due to their noticeable size difference and sharper jaws.

Their resources have been found to be most helpful in crafting new weaponry in the form of:

Dual Blades [Elemental]

Hammer [Impact/Raw]

I like the first one since it’s closer to the actual design, but the second one is just sooooo layered with spikes and teeth.
