relating to this blog: I grew up a Star Wars fan and I will be one until the day I die because at least if i die on the hill i die on the high ground.
Favorite Characters (aka the ones i beat to a pulp with hurt/comfort): Obi-Wan, Din, Fox, Jaster Mereel, Kanan and Ezra. I'm not a big Anakin fan but I won't judge you for being one lol
DO NOT INTERACT: trump supporters, homophobes, transphobes, sexists, misogynists, 🔞 blogs, racists, xenophobes, ableists, GenAI fans, people who think a debate equates to an argument and people who think Obi-Wan was at fault for Anakin's Fall
I am always happy to talk to people and discuss most anything (but especially anything relating to SW) BUT HERE IS MY ONE RULE: if we have a difference in opinion then i would be DELIGHTED to debate about it as long as you realize that a debate is a mutually-respectful DISCUSSION, not an ARGUMENT. the main difference is that there will be no insults, name calling or any underhanded tactics! god, why does this even have to be something i explain!
I have an ao3 as well if you would like it. there are recommendations in my bookmarks for anyone in need (or you can always send me an ask if looking for something particular), and i have written a few SW fics myself as well. just know that this is only one of my many fandoms so if you're there for ONLY SW you're gonna have to filter out like 80% of everything.
We should bring back duels except they’re just those slap battles. I want to be able to challenge someone to a duel and then just. Slap the shit out of them. They can even slap me first I don’t give a shit as long as I get to legally, without consequence, and possessing of no hard reasoning, slap this person in a public setting
I have nothing but abhorrence for Bo-Katan’s place in the Mandalorian series; HOWEVER—
it is absolutely HILARIOUS to watch once you notice that she is under the impression that Din Djarin is her age. Left and right she’s referencing shit that he would barely know about even if he WASN’T in the Watch.
“When the Empire wiped us out in the Purge. Where were you then?” BITCH HE WAS NINE?
Every so often I think “learning new things is hard. How can I get good at this skill/know this knowledge/perform this art when the gap between where I am and where I want to be is so large?” And then I realize. I do that all the time with no fear at all, no worry about inadequacy or failure. Because what is entering a new fandom if not learning something I did not know before? What is entering a new fandom if not gathering new knowledge, committing more lore to memory, gathering new names and faces???
Not to get too deep about fandom, but what is it if not the one form of learning where we don’t fear inadequacy, and instead know we will be accepted regardless of our achievements?
This is actually such a huge thing for an actor to do. Like we know he is wonderful and correct about this and not afraid to say so but when was the last time an actor this famous called for a boycott of a series this popular on a network THIS BIG.
im never going to get over how close we were to seeing Din Djarin as Mand'alor the Reluctant, and how BO-KATAN of all people was the one to rip that golden future away from us
Boba can say he isn’t Mandalorian all he wants, but the moment a child is in danger his instinct goes into protective mode. He sees single dad Din Djarin loose his son to the imperials and immediately decides he’s going to put everything on the line until that child is safe and reunited with his father.
See the fascinating thing is that both he and Din, while (however briefly on Din’s part) considering themselves not mandalorian, embody the best parts of the mandalorian beliefs
