A quick tip for any DIYers, engineers, or anyone wanting to build cool shit:
If you don't know the name of a part or how to search for it, but know of something similar that does, then search for replacement parts for that one thing. Eventually(!) as you scroll through the catalogue you'll see what you need and find out the real proper name for it so you aren't searching for things like "mounting rotational platform on wheels like cars but smaller" when obviously what you are forgetting is the name of "wheel hub with bearings" even though you might be a semi-professional engineer and have used them dozens, or perhaps hundreds, of times...
Another similar tip: Don't know how to build something? Look up videos and guides on how to fix or repair something similar and then build it out of the knowledge.
so you can shoot a black child in the back as he's running away and get away with it with zero consequences, but god forbid a black child defend himself, because that'll land him thirty-five fucking years in jail—which is basically a life sentence. half of his life will be over when his sentence is up. all the fake talk of progress in this country has just been a way to silence black people for speaking out against the countless horrific injustices we're forced to experience, from microagressions to outright murder. you literally cannot go a day without hearing about another black person falling victim to systemic racism and then having to listen to people justify why they deserved it. and we're supposed to hold no animosity whatsoever as we grin and bear it.
Fun fact- when I was a baby, my parents pretty quickly started suspecting I had autism. Like, before I even hit the year mark. They got me assessed four different times. the first one was when I was a baby, and they're pretty sure the only reason their concerns were brushed off is because I was a girl, and most people thought girls couldn't be autistic. Two times were when I was a toddler, after I was talking and walking, because they noticed I was happier to sort my toys than actually play with them. Both times, that doctor (different doctor from the first) firmly decided I couldn't possibly be autistic because- get this- I started talking early. And the fourth one was when I was getting ready to start preschool, because they were really like "Okay, there's no way she isn't, the doctors must have been wrong." And again, they were told I wasn't autistic because if I was, they would know already. Since I wasn't already diagnosed, I clearly wasn't autistic. It must just be from my brain injury
I am level two autistic. I am visibly autistic and always have been. And I still got misdiagnosed as not autistic four times for complete nonsense reasons.
So no, I don't think not being professionally diagnosed means one isn't autistic.
If you see this:
It’s okay to sit down while doing anything in the kitchen. You don’t even need to be disabled or chronically ill. Your feet do not need any excuses. Rest them
It’s okay to cut potatoes in front of the tv while sitting on the couch.
Abled folks could learn a lot from the measures disabled folks take to adapt to their conditions and hack their environment and daily tasks so it benefits them in all the possible ways.
And - it is an investment in future self to learn the skill of adaptation should one fall ill or disabled for any reason.
both trans men and trans women are punished for our proximity to both feminity and masculinity. people decide when we are men or women based on what is the WORST option at the moment. we both get treated like women only when someone needs to infantalize us or call us bossy, bitchy, stupid, vapid. we both get treated like men when someone wants to demonize and paint us as violent, predatory, abusive, perverted. NONE of us are benefiting from any gendered privilege, because we are always treated like the worst of either gender depending on the scenario. this is something all trans people experience, regardless of agab, both trans men and trans women. so why do we assume that the other side has the opposite experience as us?? why do you think that because your life as a trans man or a trans woman is painful, that a trans person of a different gender must have the opposite experience?? like i just dont get the preschool level understanding of gender like "well boys and girls are opposites so of course our experiences are opposites too" we are living the same transphobia and if you cant see it you need to listen to other people more
Some is better than none. Some is better than none. Some is better than none. Walking for three minutes, is better than nothing. Drinking a glass of water and eating a snack, is better than nothing. Wiping down the counter, is better than nothing. Small things are not nothing. Small things are not nothing. Small things are not nothing. You don’t have to achieve grand things if all you’re capable of right now is the smaller things. They are still achievements. Don’t do nothing just because you don’t think you’re capable of doing bigger things, just do something you’re capable of today.

I think people misunderstand "x fell first, y fell harder " trope because it's not about like the one who fell harder loves the other person harder. It's just that the one who fell first falls in a graceful way, one step at the time, maybe gradually over a span of time. The one who fell harder smashes trough the air, there's blood everywhere, everything is fine-
