Elias probably realized David was being born about two minutes before his wife did only because she turned to him in the delivery room like “I gotta shit.” and he (having researched the hell out of everything in a blind panic) clocked it as a sign that lil Davey was coming IMMEDIATELY.

Cue Elias spamming the fuck out of the “call nurse” button while holding a normal convo with wife because he may have read all about pregnancy and shit but he CANNOT deliver a baby. He’s trying to be so calm and his beautiful girl is like “Hm. This contraction got a lil kick to it. Why are you so pale?”

Elias seems like a young dad. Mostly because I’m certain he joined the military as a young man. Like. 18, he joins. Marries the wife between here and there because 1) Woah mama 2) Benefits like off base housing. Then they have David because they’re a young married couple living alone together. Things… happen.

The night was cold, it was supposed to rain soon and all his fresh scars hurt with phantom pain. He whined softly, not wanting to make a sound but he couldn’t help himself. He curled up in his bed, bringing the blanket higher, trying to drown in the warmth that kept escaping him. His hands trembled. He felt a hand on his back, flinching from it.

“ ‘s okay, Simon. It’s me” he heard Price’s raspy from sleep voice. “What’s wrong?” the captain sighed, turning towards Simon.

“They all hurt” Simon whispers back. “It’s fucking cold”

After a moment he felt a hand sneaking under his head, making him rigid, eyes snapping wide open in fear.

“Come ‘ere, ‘s gonna be warmer” Price just pulled him closer to his side, bringing his own blanket over him. Simon let himself relax slowly, pressing his side into Price’s side.

Why was John taking care of him, he did not know.

He should have just dropped him into a mental hospital, let them cuff him to the bed like a psycho he was. Not move him into his own qarters, not sleep with him in one bed without wanting anything back.

Simon sighed softly, trying his best to fall back asleep. And in a dazed state, he briefly wondered if that’s what having a father feels like.

Hesh and Logan have gone fishing and logan bought a barbie fishing rod as a joke, and ended up actually catching a fish compared to hesh's hundred dollar fishing set-up. (Its actually Elias')
