*How to Harass Women Who Don’t Want to Be Approached
“Allowing her to take control of the interaction” is a don’t. That’s the scariest part. They’re teaching men that women having any control or freedom in that situation is a bad thing. And that’s disturbing.
I’ve had men snatch headphones off my head when I wouldn’t respond to them. I stopped wearing headphones a long time ago.
@not-everyones-cup-of-tea
please god let at least 1 person get this joke
How I keep going
Alternative Pin Up
i hate public bathrooms for all the obvious reasons but also because one time somebody in the next stall silently reached under and untied my shoe
WHY THE FUCK DOES THIS MAKE ME LAUGH SO MUCH?!
This post is for my fat ladies who aren’t the acceptable fatness for ladies
You know, the ones with the big chest or big asses, who have baby birthing hips( bonus if you have both!) the ones who have a tummy, but not too big!
This one is for my ladies who have narrow hips and no ass, who have small breast . Whose weight is all in their stomachs and are self conscious because of it
This is for my ladies who don’t know how to do their make up at all
Who don’t have a slender face, who have double chins or are teased because they have “no neck”
Who have double bellies, whose bellies aren’t perfectly round or smooth
Who have extra body hair
Who aren’t comfortable with their bodies
Who aren’t white or very light skinned so they are pretty much ignored
Who can’t afford wonderful camera equipment
Who don’t have fashionable clothes and can’t do ootd post
Who aren’t comfortable taking tons of pictures
I see you, and you’re beautiful never forget it.
Photo-Series by Huang Qingjun About How Different People Live In Identical Apartments
A few days ago in a parking lot in Lisbon wheelchair users and volunteers occupied all the available Non-Handicap spaces to make a point to able-bodied motorists what it is like to have “their” parking places unavailable to them.
On every wheelchair various notes were left like: “be right back”, “it only takes a moment”, “I’m get something here”, etc.

Reblogged this yesterday from a different source, but I think this photograph is more powerful.
I love this so much I’ll reblog it a million times!
@fuckyesdeadpool
sorry everyone
Excuse me.
One of the first women to start her own independent production company.
Earned her way to stardom without sleeping with executives for roles.
Refused to date people for publicity just because 20th Century Fox wanted her to.
Left 20th Century Fox because she refused to let them get away with treating her badly and paying her a tiny wage, just because of her “dumb blonde” image.
Was only paid a fraction of her co-star’s wage even though she was the star of the movies and the biggest box office pull, but still went ahead with the movies because she was so passionate about acting.
Studied method acting at the Actors Studio with Lee Strasberg, who said that she was one of his best students along with Marlon Brando.
Had a personal library of over 500 books and rarely read fiction - she was desperate to learn and educate herself.
Was sexually abused as a child but then went on to encourage the sexual liberation of women in the 1950s.
One of the first people to speak openly about sexual abuse.
One of the first people to openly support gay rights.
Supported many charities such as the Milk Fund, March of Dimes, Arthritis and Rheumatism foundation.
Donated her time and money to these charities.
Visited orphanages and hospitals on her own time to surprise the people there.
Married one of the greatest literary minds of the 20th century
Suffered two miscarriages and one ectopic pregnancy and still put on a brave face for her fans.
Sorry, did you say she wasn’t a role model?
marilyn is my biggest role model so don’t even go there
and let’s not forget this
Ella Fitzgerald was not allowed to play at the popular Mocambo, in Hollywood, because of her race. Marilyn, who loved her music and supported civil rights, called the owner of the Mocambo and told him that if he booked Ella immediately, she would take a front table every night. The owner said yes, and Marilyn was there, front table, every night. After that, Ella never had to play in a small jazz club again.
“She was an unusual woman – a little ahead of her times. And she didn’t know it.” - Ella Fitzgerald about Marilyn Monroe
But what does history remember her for?
Funny how bio spawn people so often fail to mention that she was also a state orphan who overcame insurmountable odds, surviving foster care to become pretty much the most iconic Hollywood star ever. NO BIG DEAL, right?
p.s. Ella Fitzgerald was also a state orphan who survived an overcrowded asylum and then a brutal “reform school” (basically just an abusive prison for kids who were parentless or poor) that ultimately left her homeless:
Ella Fitzgerald never spoke publicly about this period in her life, and she certainly never betrayed any hint of it in her performances. It lends an incredible backdrop, however, to the oft-repeated story of the Apollo Theater Amateur Night performance in 1934 that put her on a path toward stardom. Still technically a ward of the State of New York, Ella was officially paroled in 1935 to Chick Webb’s orchestra, the group she would make her name with over the next seven years. [X]
You can have your ashes pressed into a vinyl record when you die. A company called And Vinyly offers memorial albums that play for 12 minutes on each side, and the audio can be anything from your favorite song, to a personal message, to nothing but pops and crackles. Source Source 2
Treasure Planet 🌍✨ Sadly one of the most underrated Disney movies, but one of my favourites 💕
