happy new years aussies. if your drinking tonight, please send me a drunken message for a zine im working on. actually if you are drunk anywhere. doesnt matter what the message says. stay safe folks!
I saw a tweet about returning Mass Effect veterans for the next installment. I didn't see Chris L'Etoile on the list, so I googled him to see what he was up to and apparently his wife had a massive stroke in 2018. He's had a GoFundMe up since then. I thought I'd share it here as he hasn't had a donation in since Dec 2019 and maybe the ball can get rolling again.
Chris L'Etoile wrote for ME1, ME2, and Dragon Age Origins. He did a lot of world and lore building for Bioware, especially for Mass Effect and he worked on the characters Ashley Williams, Legion, and Thane Krios. More recently he worked on Outer Worlds with Obsidian, but it sounds like that job may have been cut short for him to support his wife.

As I am in Canada, this campaign has been created in Canadian dollars, although Jamie is in the USA. … Vicki Loh needs your support for Jam
Hanukkah begins this Thursday (the 10th) so Sluggo and I hope you all have a mystical, magical, enchanting (and safe) holiday!
huge ass d&d i made that took 3 days will be used for a grand total of 5 minutes.
Another kickstarter set! I’m afraid the maker doesn’t seem to have a storefront, at least not that I can find. But I love the antique gold and the glitter, it makes me think of New Year’s Eve and champagne <3
Things I Include In My D&D Games That My Players Don't Know About
If they hold a wooden bowl and walk into a locked door, they'll phase through it like it's Skyrim
If they attempt to jump backwards up a set of stairs, with a high enough dex roll, they will launch up the stairs, through the roof, and into the upper atmosphere
There is an Anti-Tarrasque.
Trolls have 12 different blood colors, with only 2 existing in aquatic troll varieties.
If they enter a new area fast enough, they can catch the birds flying without moving anywhere.
Trees DON'T make sounds when they fall and no one's around, there's just no one around that can prove that
Lazer guns exist, they're just shy
If you get knocked prone on a sloped surface, there is a 1% chance of clipping into the terrain
There's a 1% chance of the textures in someone's face not loading correctly

Maya died in the campaign last week but she had a fancy amulet that brought her back to life and it did this!! So I thought it would be neat to try and animate it…
