Oswin used to hate her name as a child and would often tell people that her name was 'Clara' instead. This continued from the age 13 onwards until her crash into the Dalek Asylum.

Now, she misses her family, and uses her real name more often than not as a way of remembering them.

If she offers you the name 'Clara' after revealing her real name then she likes you.

It means she feels like sticking around.
