PBS ad ala Jane Austen
Anthony Head’s death brought up a remembrance of his role in Nescafe coffee ads that predated his TV/movie fame. It reminded me of one of PBS’s great ads in the late 1990s with a Jane Austen slant. JA-ites may not have seen it then: I Won’t Be Seeing Mr Mallory https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0M6op3afLlI
Stole this from somewhere but i think it’s appropriate
Best analogy I’ve seen regarding AI!
Mandalorian & Grogu movie
All I know of the show is from the gif sets you lot have posted here on Tumblr, so keep that in mind. (And I have seen the full episode with Luke.) But I saw the movie yesterday, and I think fans will like it. Lots of action (more action than story development, really). Enjoy!
Lining his pockets while he ignores millions of people in this country who are struggling to get by and whose lives are being made worse every single day by his decision making. Unprecedented corruption unlike anything I've ever seen.

Chapters: 12/? Fandom: The Lord of the Rings - All Media Types Rating: Teen And Up Audiences Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply Characters: Éomer, Éothain, Éomer Éadig, Éothain (Rider of Rohan), Éowyn (Tolkien), Théoden Ednew, Théodred (Tolkien), Elfhelm (Tolkien) Additional Tags: cameos of other familiar characters, tales of Eomer's life before he became king Summary:
I have a very long series of Elfwine Chronicles (specifically stories about the family unit of Eomer, Lothiriel and their son Elfwine). Over time, it expanded to include much more than that, and there are over 200 of the Chronicles (plus the prequel stories that set the stage by getting Eomer and Lothiriel married). The Eomer Chronicles is the result of stories that preceded the Eomer/Lothiriel romance/marriage, but they are related to the series. However, you should be able to understand them on their own. They are random one-shots that jump around chronologically. One thing to note: while I try to keep fairly close to canon, my Gamling is essentially the one seen in the Peter Jackson films.
luciferslegion has been reading my various Eomer/Lothiriel stories, and it caused me to go back and reread some of my stories, including this series. Thought I would give it a plug so others might enjoy them (hopefully!)

Leverage Trivia #3
More here, there and everywhere – Alayna Heim. She has a writer credit for all 3 seasons of Leverage: Redemption, but ALSO her name is used for the super duper privacy ending computer in Double-Edged Sword (ALAY-NA), AND her name is on the list of Phil Hinckley’s wards in The Jackal Job.
writer: S1.E5 – Paranormal Hacktivity
S2.E6 – Fractured Job
S3.E9 – Polygeist Job
Leverage: Redemption Musing
After hearing Parker ask every driver of vehicles she’s riding in (Shakedown in Clone Town) whether or not they have snacks onboard, can you imagine how delighted she is to be travelling around in a food truck and eat whenever she wants?
Now That the Super Bowl is Over
Well, for everyone but Trump, who is still fuming.
I finally finished watching my S2 DVDs for Leverage: Redemption (making sure they were all okay). So…YAY!
But…I’m in the US. So this should be a Region 1 DVD set. Just noticed that it is labeled Region 4, NTSC and specifically licensed to Australia/New Zealand. So why does it play just fine on my Region 1 DVD player?
Ah, well, it does. That’s the most important thing!
Leverage Trivia #2
So, just how many colleges did Harry Wilson attend?
In Too Many Rembrandts, Hardison says he did his undergrad at Tulane and then attended Harvard Law School.
But in Work Study, he says he did his undergrad work at NOLA.
The boy gets around!
Leverage Trivia
We can’t blame Hardison for all the Dr Who references. In the 10 L’il Grifters Job, the name of the client’s former law firm is McCann, McCoy & Baker.
In the Morning After Job, Agent McSweeten’s car is parked next to a fire hydrant (when he goes to it and finds the criminal Parker left for him).
Congress is now considering the appropriations bill for the Department of Homeland Security, whose funding runs out at the end of January. Call your members of Congress and tell them to vote NO on any bill that increases ICE's funding. Please demand that the DHS appropriations bill prohibit ICE and Border Patrol agents from carrying guns and that it unambiguously declare that agents do not have absolute immunity under the law if they harm civilians. Also tell them that any bill must restrict ICE and Border Patrol’s ability to conduct dragnet arrest operations and target people based on their race, language or accent. And the bill must clarify that ICE agents are liable under civil and criminal law if they harm civilians. Do this as soon as you can. To reach your representative or senator, call the U.S. Congressional Switchboard at (202) 224-3121. Tell them the state and city where you live. They will connect you to any member’s office.
