also I have to give Rachel her props because Annabeth is really really good at being mean when she wants to be and almost every word out of her mouth in regards to Rachel (whether Rachel is present or not) is a dig at her but Rachel is 100% winning the idgaf war. she remains unfazed at nearly every one of Annabeth's jabs... which is like the most infuriating thing she could've done to Annabeth in response.

the thing about tv!sally. the thing is. is that the flashbacks are so clearly from her perspective.

the reason people are claiming that sally would never yell at percy like in ep7 or that she would never show frustration with her child is that in the books -- and the beginning of the show -- we only ever see sally from percy's perspective. and in his eyes? she is an angel, the perfect mother who could never do anything wrong.

but the flashbacks in ep7 are not from percy's perspective, they're from sally's. and she remembers every bit of the difficulties and the frustrations and the almost insurmountable challenges that come with raising a neurodivergent child as a poor single mom, let alone raising a powerful demigod who attracts epic monsters that want to kill him. so yes, sally is, arguably, more 'human' in the show than the books -- because of course she is, when she isn't only ever seen through the eyes of her ride or die son.

I can guarantee that the biggest perk Percy enjoyed most from the Curse of Achilles was literally just being able to skateboard without having to worry about eating pavement.

Cause like as I’m sure that anyone who has a skateboard can tell you - sliding across the asphalt is not a pleasant experience and Sk8ter boi Percy Jackson would love not injuring himself every other week from simply wrecking on his skateboard.

No more helmets or pads and what not. Fell off will you were grinding down the railing and tumbled down a flight of concrete stairs?? You want to try skating down that San Francisco hill and keep the skin on your body??? Literally doesn’t even matter anymore. Do it. 

Like I always head canon that Percy takes on the curse again and honestly I’d live for a scenario that he’d do it just so he could skateboard like that again.
