Helen going off to London to rediscover who she is after years of pushing everything down and blocking everything off after experiencing so much hurt, is something I oddly like and appreciate.

While I would love for sharpwin to be easy days work it’s simply not feasible. They’re both such well written complicated characters who have gone through so much personally, let alone a whole pandemic. It would make sense for them to reevaluate their new dynamic. Because it has undoubtedly changed, they know each other so well but, the new romantic aspect changes everything

They know how to operate as friends. They know what it’s like to have loved so deeply and lost, as well as a whole bunch of other traumas. Those things take their toll.

If anything I’m proud of the writers for not jumping straight in acting like it’s all peachy when there’s clearly some issues they need to sort out before they can reach that “joy”
