Jon brings me to the Manor in record time after Father hangs up the phone. Perhaps Jason isn't my favorite brother. But I do love him. He is my brother all the same. And the urgency takes over me, my heart in my throat.
I rush into the Bat Cave and its pure chaos.
Alfred is trying to coax Antonia into being treated for what appear to be flesh wounds.
I find my Father on the other side of the medbay and the sight of Jason riddled with bullets is enough to make me rush toward them.
I pull Father's shaking hands away and take over, barking orders at him to give him something to do.
We are able to sedate Jason, get IV and blood for him and I get started with removing the bullets.
Thankfully he's mostly intact. Even so...
"Father, you may not like this," I tell him, brandishing a syringe of green fluid.
He shakes his head. "Do it. Just save him. I can't..."
I nod, injecting a small dose of lazarus fluid near the worst bullet wound and we watch with bated breath as it starts to heal first before the other wounds close.
Jason is still sedated so he won't wake yet. Best to let him rest now that he's out of danger.
I breathe a sigh of relief and let out a soft oof as Father pulls me into a bone crushing hug.
"Thank you, Damian." He finally cries against me and I hug him back.
"Of course. I'd have moved Heaven and Earth trying..."
Eventually we come apart and he goes to Jason's side, sitting and holding his hand.
I spin on my heal and march toward where the others are. My work isnt done here.
I stop in front of Antonia, and I know I am not the picture of friendliness.
"Jason will be alright. You need to be treated as well. So go get in the medical bed or I will make you. I am not going to coddle you like Father. You will have your wounds cleaned, stitched and bandaged and you will rest afterward. Am I clear?"
Doctor's orders and what not.
